Here’s What Really Happened Behind Nadine Lustre’s Viral Lechon Sauce Photo

0

Want to know what really happened with Nadine Lustre’s viral lechon sauce photo? After months of wondering what really happened in the photo, we are definitely getting our inner ‘Marites’ fix with this article.

In August of this year, Nadine Lustre was spotted at a store, buying lechone sauce. The photo became viral making netizens cop the same exact look during Halloween. In addition to the viral photo, memes were spreading across the wires as well when James Reid, Nadine’s ex-beau was seen with a lechon.

In one of the programs of Boys Night Out, Nadine addressed what really happened in the photo. She said she just came home from a trip hungry and tired.

“It’s really really funny,” Nadine shared. “We went back home, and the only thing that we could get is the lechon manok…I bought lechon manok and then there was no sarsa. No sarsa, no suka, walang sawsawan yung lechon manok. So I was like, ‘Ay parang gusto ko ng Mang Tomas.’ Kulang yung lechon manok ‘pag walang Mang Tomas. Wala na ngang rice, wala pang sarsa ‘di ba?”

The store, where Nadine was spotted buying the lechon sauce, was the closest one.

“I got Mang Tomas which is right beside the counter. So I got it, put it on the counter. And then this girl, I saw her already that she was taking a photo. But I was so freaking tired, I was like, ‘Oh okay, whatever.’ Kaya yung mukha ko ganun na lang.”

Nadine saw the photo the next day and just shrugged it saying “I was like, oh yeah, cool.” However, Nadine had to clarify that she was not paid for the photo to promote the brand.

Cebu’s Sinulog 2022: What We Know So Far

Been missing that Sinulog fever every January? The street dancers, dancing to every beat of the drums, the colorful streets of Cebu, and the fun gala with the barkadas? Looks like we may experience this for next year’s Sinulog, however in a more precautioned setting.

Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama announced on December 7, 2021, that Sinulog 2022 will be in a ‘hybrid’ setting. It will be held virtually and physically.

He emphasized the importance of the turnout of the vaccination coverage in the city on whether or not to push through with the said event.

To recall from last year’s Sinulog, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) strongly disagreed to conduct the Sinulog festival, despite the proposition of the city government to have it in a bubble set.

This is due to the fear of the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

The continuation of the festival would still depend on whether the city would be able to reach the designated number of herd immunity.

As of Monday, December 6, 2021, the health officials have recorded 92% administered doses of the Covid-19 vaccine of the 719,000 eligible population.

The city government has to vaccinate more than 59,000 more residents to reach the set target.

If the said target will be reached then the festival can be held in full physical activity.

DOH-7 FULL REPORT (CENTRAL VISAYAS):

Things that only a Fully Vaxxed person can do in Cebu City

1

The new normal is to be vaccinated.

COVID-19 is still here and different kinds of variants some worse than the original keep on popping out as well. The world can’t afford another cost of lives especially since it can be avoided just by getting vaccinated.

This is why the privileges for unvaccinated people are getting slimmer and slimmer. The world is opening its doors slowly back to what we had before the pandemic but only for the fully vaxxed.

This is true especially here in Cebu. We present here the things that only a fully vaxxed person can do in the City.

1. Dine-In

Vice Mayor Michael Rama, currently acting mayor of Cebu City, said that fully or partially vaccinated people or vaccinated individuals in Cebu City can now avail of indoor dine-in restaurants, salons, barbershops, spas, and other personal services establishments. As it requires taking off the mask and sometimes indoor setting, you are asked to present your vaccination card before dining in.

2. No RT-PCR Tests domestic travelers arriving in Cebu

Photo from Department of Tourism Central Visayas Office

There will be less hassle for the fully vaccinated on traveling within Cebu. These tests are also expensive and uncomfortable so it really is a relief.

3. Enter Cinemas

The cinemas were recently opened after almost 2 years. A valid ID together with your vaccination card will be presented upon purchase of tickets. Food and drinks are not allowed as well.

4. Hotel Check-in (Cebu City)

Along with travel are the stay-ins which also require a vaccination card. It is now an essential item to bring with you if you wish to travel and get into places especially hotels.

5. Entry to all Establishments

This is one of the more drastic restrictions as starting Jan 1, 2022, non-vaxxed people cannot enter all establishments. This includes malls, amusement parks, museums, theater, and many more.

F2F classes soon

The face-to-face classes are now being prepared for. With this, the Commission on Higher Educated has stated that only the fully vaxxed students, teachers, and school personnel can participate in the in-person classes.

We all need to get vaccinated as this is the only way to win against covid-19 and to help everyone in the world.

Soon to rise: P24-Billion Lapu-Lapu Expressway (LLEX)

First ever skyway in the Visayas and Mindanao will soon rise in Lapu-Lapu city. This was announced by Lapu-Lapu city Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan through a Facebook post on Monday, December 6, 2021. The said project has a budget of P24.81 Billion.

Photo from Junard “Ahong” Chan’s Facebook

The Lapu-Lapu Expressway (LLEX) will connect from the airport to the third bridge which is believed to lessen the congestion of traffic in the city as well as the travel time of the motorist coming from the airport going to the Cebu south road properties (SRP) to seven minutes.

Chan added that the said project will pave the way for the city’s economic growth as this will invite more investors and offer more jobs to the citizens. This will also become a stepping stone for more tourist spots to rise in the city.

If approved, the LLEX will be done under a private-public partnership (PPP) arrangement, which will be ventured by Premium Megastructure, Inc (PMI), Ulticon Builders, Inc., and MTD Philippines, Inc.

2022 Update

The project, which was in “development hell”, was turned down by the City Council a total of three times before finally being approved.

During Lapu-Lapu City’s Charter Day last June 17, 2022, at the Session Hall, the Lapu-Lapu City Government, together with Lapu-Lapu Expressway (LLEX) Corporation signed a memorandum of agreement regarding the proposed P24.8 billion Lapu-Lapu expressway, also known as the skyway project.

With the approval of the City Council, where the majority signed a resolution last June 9, allowing Mayor Jun “Ahong” Chan to enter into a joint venture agreement (JVA) between the city government and LLEX Corp. composed of Premium Megastructures Inc., Ulticon Builders Inc., and MTD Philippines Inc.

The LLEX, which is expected to be operational by 2025, has an estimated economic return worth P66.5 billion over a 50-year period, or 40% of the joint venture’s commercial revenues will be going to the City’s treasury.

Everyone might have heard or seen the viral Toyota WIGO car being shared everywhere in social media.

A giveaway that big will certainly get the netizens buzzing and they certainly did.

Now you might think it’s from a big name or a big company but no it was from a Cebuano entrepreneur who is known for his giveaways posted on his Instagram account.

Chase Cokaliong, from his last name itself, is a scion (a descendant of a notable family) of the family behind Cokaliong Shipping Lines Inc.

Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Inc. (CSLI) is a shipping line that’s known to almost every single Cebuano as it started right here in Cebu City and thus became a household name. Its operation includes both passenger and cargo ferries on routes in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.  Although it feels like forever since the Cokaliong name has been in our lives, CSLI is still considered as one of the youngest shipping companies in the Philippines.

Chase Cokaliong is the Vice President for Fleet Operations and Human Resource & Development Department Manager at Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Inc. and also the owner of CF-L1 Trainer at CrossFit Subtero.

Yes. If you can imagine, Chase definitely is blessed and found a way to give back to the people through his giveaways. As he shared in his posts, “Sharing is a source of blessing”, he also said that he wants to bring back the excitement and happiness of the people through these surprise gifts.

Here’s a list of the giveaways posted recently:

  • 2021 Toyota WIGO – The one that was viral and got every Cebuano and most netizens sharing “that” picture and had at least 60k entries.
  • 1.2 carat ring

Chase said that this is not his first giveaways, just the first ones that are public or shared on social media.

With Christmas fast approaching, may all our lives be blessed and bless others in return.
