Guide: How To Enjoy Cebu City In A Day

    0

I have always seen the Queen City of the South as “the place that has it all.” A place of great history, a church for the pilgrims, a temple for the believers, inexpensive but taste-worthy restaurants, and the place with the oldest and smallest bastion in the Philippines, just to name a few.

Though I know that Cebu has gotten quite a “not-so-good” reputation that tourists, even locals alike will balk at the idea of wandering the streets of the city.

But amidst all the chaos of the city, Cebu continues to grind and prosper. Cebu has a lot of things to offer that could cater to every interest. To knock you off your feet, here are our recommendations should you wish to explore the beauty of the Queen City of the South in a day.

If you’re looking to rent a van or arrange a tour itinerary with an agency, book now with SquadPH Tours and Travels, Sugbo.ph’s official travel agency partner.

8 Cebu Fashion Tips You Can Cop For School

    1

For a lot of students, summer has already ended and the sad reality has struck us. We have to go back to waking up early and going home with never-ending homeworks and projects onhand. But more than this reality, there is something we’re all excited about – going back to school in style!

Another school year is about to start and we, girls, know that it is really difficult to come up with a stylish yet comfortable and age-appropriate outfit that we can wear to class everyday. If you’re stressing about dressing up everyday, there is so much inspiration to go around and keep that headache at bay! To help you, here are 8 key pieces that you can also incorporate into your daily school looks.

No uniform? No problem! Sugbo has got you all covered.

    1. SHIRT DRESSES

If you are in for a long day in university, let your skin breathe with a loose and casual dress. Shirt dresses will always be our savior if we cannot find matching tops and bottoms when we’re running late for class and look effortlessly chic.

    2. PLAIN BLACK or WHITE TEE

A plain black or white tee paired will never go out of style. Whether you opt to pair it with a blue or black jeans, it will still be pretty useful on your carefree days when you just want to chill while still wanting to look fab.

    3. DISTRESSED JEANS

Denim will always and forever be everything! The classic distressed jeans and button down shirt or plain tee combo will be perfect for those who want to ace that “no-nonsense” look. But make sure you pair it with your fave sneakers or statement footwear then, dial 100% attitude.

    3distressedjeans2.jpg

    4. DENIM JUMPSUIT

Sometimes, schools have more relaxed dresscodes, or otherwise. But if your school is the former, this one will be great for you. A denim jumpsuit will surely make you a campus head-turner in a snap!

    5. PASTEL PIECES

Some girls opt to strictly stick to feminine pieces all school year long and don’t get me wrong, you can go feminine all the way. Get a pastel-colored peplum blouse and pear it with great-fitting jeans. You can layer your top with a cardigan too for an easy-breezy day in school.

    6. CULOTTES

Yes, people say that this is by far one of the most unflattering bottoms for this will make you shorter (if you’re short) and healthier (if you’re a plus-size) but hey, these are very comfortable to wear and a great alternative to skirts. Just make sure you pair it with a great fitting shirt and your pair of trusty white sneakers.

    7. PLAID PANTS

Who said school OOTD’s can’t be cooler than a pair of skinny jeans? Ditch your usual denim skinny jeans and opt for a pair of plaid pants. Pair it with the basic white or black tee and make a statement with your shoes.

Traveling isn’t just about visiting a new place. It’s also about making new memories, expanding your horizons, and meeting new people. Sometimes, though, it’s not as picture-perfect as the ones we see in social media uploads. There are a lot of things that prevent many of us — yes, even us bloggers! — from traveling to our dream destinations. One of these things is the price of the tickets. We don’t know about you, but tickets are one of our biggest travel expenses. And because airline seat sales don’t happen everyday, we sometimes have to settle for higher prices or even inconvenient travel schedules.

Thankfully, we here at Sugbo.ph discovered Traveloka and their creative solutions to overcome this travel problem. They have features in their mobile app like Price Alerts and Cheap Price Finder, which are geared toward helping us travelers find the best flight deals that also match our schedules in the most convenient way.

    Price Alerts

If you already have a destination in mind (hint, hint: check out these Cebu recommendations from the team!), Price Alerts will send you a notification when your chosen flights fall within your budget. Just indicate an amount for your chosen route and then set-up the push notifications to get a message when for that route meets your budget. No need to research on different websites for hours! Traveloka will let you know ASAP if there’s an affordable flight for your dream destination or on the date you want to travel.

    Cheap Price Finder

For the ones who are more particular about the schedule, we recommend using Cheap Price Finder. This feature will help you find the cheapest flights all the time by showing all the prices from Traveloka’s airline partners in one page. The most affordable rates are highlighted in green so you know when to buy those cheap tickets! Another big convenience of this feature? All of these details are shown in Traveloka’s in-app booking calendar so there’s no need to go back and forth between websites just to compare prices.

    Many Payment Options

What we also love about Traveloka is the tons of payment options they provide. Credit card, debit card, BDO or BPI online transfer, over the counter payments at their partner banks, 7-Eleven and Cebuana Lhuillier branches, and many more. Super duper convenient, we tell you!

So do you want a #CrazyEasyTravels experience of your own? You’ll always have one with a reliable travel buddy like Traveloka! And sugbo.ph, of course! Visit https://www.traveloka.com/en-ph/ and book that dream vacation today.

The world’s FIRST-EVER resort airport has finally opened on June 2018 in Cebu, Philippines. It’s where you can first experience the warmth of Cebu.

As a Filipino, as a Cebuano, how can we be any prouder of this? Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is set to open “one of the most beautiful airport terminal buildings in the world” on June 7, 2018, which will also serve as the grand opening of the new Terminal 2.

The ₱17-billion MCIA Terminal 2, which construction started last June 29, 2015, is expected to accommodate 5 million passengers every year and will greatly boost the Queen City of the South’s tourism industry.

The new terminal was supposed to be built in an area of 42,000sqm, but decided to extend it to 65,000sqm to provide more space, convenience, and comfort.

The design is a collaboration of big names in Filipino architecture and design, such as architect and interior designer Budji Layug, architect Royal Pineda, and internationally renowned Cebuano furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue.

    This will feature:

    • Ceilings are about 26 meters high.
    • Natural sunlight can get inside.
    • Polished concrete floor have mother of pearls inserted in it.
    • The flooring will look like sand representing Cebu as a tropical island.
    • The departure and arrival area will be on separate levels and there will only be two check-in islands with 48 counters.
    • New types of retail shops for apparel, jewelries, cosmetics and other products in the Philippines.
