Finding an app that remotely deletes everything on your device is also useful in case retrieval becomes impossible.

4. Beware of the sites you visit.

At this point, we should already have an idea of the lengths these “scammers” go to just to try and steal your data and everything that comes with it. With that said, remember to check the sites you use your eWallet on. Don’t let your excitement of getting that item/service get the best of you. And remember, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is – so stay vigilant.

While eWallets generally offer safety, they are not completely immune to threats. Implementing extra security measures to minimize risks and safeguard your financial information from unauthorized access is crucial. NUSTAR Convention Center opens in the Island of New Celebrations

The biggest convention center in the Visayas and Mindanao has officially opened its doors at NUSTAR Resort and Casino on June 10, 2023.

As the region’s newest landmark attraction, the NUSTAR Convention Center is set to become the most sought-after venue for events both big and small. Its Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) facilities will create the perfect setting for the most remarkable of occasions. UP leads the list of Philippine universities Listed in the QS World Rankings 2024

Quacquarelli Symonds has recently recognized UP as the country’s top learning institution in

2024, with Ateneo previously holding the title given by the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings in 2023.

UP’s position moved up 8 spots from its previous rating of 412th overall, now holding the 404th rank, placing the university in the world’s top 27% of institutions worldwide! Besides UP, top

Philippine universities such as Ateneo de Manila came in at 563th, De La Salle listed in between the 681th-690th range, University of Santo Tomas in the 801th-860th, and University of San

Carlos among the 1201th-1400th.

QS ranks a myriad of colleges based on important factors such as academic and employer reputation separately, international students, citations per faculty, international faculty and research network, outcome of employment, sustainability, and faculty-student ratio. Including a grand total of 1,500 universities across 104 locations in 2023.

Reasons for how UP reached its current position is due to outdoing the other mentioned Philippine Universities in aspects including academic and employer reputation separately, faculty-student ratio, international research network and sustainability.

“Employer reputation is our strongest indicator this year,” as stated by the Vice President for

Academic Affairs. “Employer reputation evaluates the perceptions of global employers, through a survey, on which institutions are providing the most job-ready graduates.”

Ateneo was first place in terms of employment results, DLSU having the most citations per faculty, and UST in international faculty and students separately.

The rankings are a source of pride for the nation as a whole, since they highlight the Philippines’ potential as a center for high-quality learning and intellectual development.

Entertainment Journalist Mario Dumaual Dies at 64

The entertainment industry is mourning yet again.

Mario Dumaual, a veteran entertainment journalist, died of septic shock today, Wednesday, July 5, 2023. The news of his death was announced on his official Facebook Page.

“We are devastated to announce the passing of Mario Dumaual – Papa to his wife Cherie and children Luigi, Miguel, Maxine, William, and Thessa; Wowo to his grandchildren Sky, Alonzoe, And Tali; and Yayo to his siblings.”

Mario, who would have turned 65 on July 31, died at 8:01 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, due to septic shock.”

The Facebook post also revealed that the journalist had been battling a severe fungal infection that stemmed from a complication during his heart attack recovery.

“Papa was strong, he kept fighting on, overcoming the heart attack then a cardiac arrest. He would always say he wanted to go home because he missed us, his family. But the infection overwhelmed his body’s ability to recover.”

Condolences to the family. Dark clouds hover over the entertainment industry today; May you rest in peace, Mr. Mario Dumaual.
