Baguio Craft Brewery: Cheers to more beers in Cebu!

baguio-craft-brewery-cebu

Baguio Craft Brewery has finally arrived here in Cebu and they are bringing barrels of great-tasting, diverse and natural craft beers. This is their third store in the country and had their first store opened last 2014 in Baguio. They believe in offering the Cebuanos traditionally-brewed and handcrafted beers in the most natural way with no preservatives and additives.

Known to have the largest selection of draft beers or beers served in a cask or keg in the Philippines, you can choose whatever you would like from their line of 21 rotating taps.

baguio-craft-brewery-cebu

Each tap contains unique, carefully crafted beers from the stronger “Ales” for a stronger feel, to “Fruit Beers” if a little bit of sweetness is what you want, then “Wheat/Stout” for frothy and smooth and lastly is the “Pilsner” ideal for the beginners.

Every flavor in each type has their percentage of alcohol content and is ranked as such, so you will have no difficulty in looking for what you want and how you want it.

It is a rustic casual pub and dine with an artistic inspiration from Cordillera.

Great-tasting beers should be paired with great-tasting food. The menu has the Filipino comfort food and ‘pulutan’ that fits when you just want to relax and drink a mug of good beer.

Their GRAND OPENING will be on July 28, Friday at 4pm in Garden Bloc, Cebu IT Park Lahug, Cebu City.

KKD STK+BBQ: Authentic, affordable Filipino food

kkd-stk-bbq-cebu

Tasty food. Cheap prices. Excellent service. KKD STK+BBQ is surprisingly a
wonderful place to eat, drink, chill, and date. No better or more clever words to describe this must-try and this new favorite resto situated along M.J. Cuenco, Cebu City. Oh, that’s a spoiler. Read on.

kkd-stk-bbq-cebu

Here are five (5) things you need to know about KKD+STK BBQ.

1. Authentic Filipino Food

Familiar with SuTuKil or STK? STK stands for Sugba (grill), Tuwa (soup), Kilaw (raw). And KKD STK+BBQ has a lot more to offer, serving a variety of Filipino dishes enough to satisfy your craving appetite. Familiar names but the taste is surely not to undermine. You must try the bestselling Pochero, and the sweetened barbeque, the extra Crispy Pata and the better-than-hamonada-tasting Patatim. Or just craving for some Larang, Balbacua or some roasted Manok Bisaya? KKD got you covered! And the way the food served is very comfortable and wonderful (find out in number 4).

Don’t tell me you had enough Filipino food in your entire life? There must be something wrong with you. We can’t get enough, we can only eat more. That’s what KKD STK+BBQ promised to give “Good Filipino Food”.

Food Rating: 4.5 out of 5

2. Cheap price

Imagine eating your hearts out and not worrying about the price? KKD STK+BBQ offers one of the cheapest authentic Filipino food in town. Every serving with a price range from P100-140 is enough to feed the entire gang of 2-4 people. The more you order, the cheaper it gets. Why? Because it’s Filipino food! We always love to eat with family and friends, the reason every serving in KKD STK+BBQ isn’t for one person alone. Unless you are that hungry, indulge yourself, but you cannot find solo tables anywhere and it will be too much to take in but still get away with an affordable price.

KKD STK+BBQ Menu:

Price Rating: 4.5 out of 5

3. The Perfect Resto for All Your Needs

The fanciest combination of words I could conceive to describe the place and pretty sure it’s not enough. The resto is situated M.J. Cuenco, Cebu City just a walk away from Magellan’s Cross, Plaza Independecia or Cathedral and more famous landmarks. It is located just right across Malacanang sa Sugbo, in the heart of the Queen City of the South.

Whether you are in the city or not, KKD STK+BBQ is a must-visit restaurant not only because of its accessible location but also because it’s a perfect place to DINE, DATE, DRINK and CHILL. Whichever you feel like, KKD STK+BBQ will be a comfort resto for you.

kkd-stk-bbq-cebu

a. DINE: Lasting impressions – Surprised with the intricately-decorated-industrially-designed spacy dining area of the restaurant. The resto is decorated with luxurious chandeliers and precious adornments at first look! Sooner you’ll realize that those are common industrial things like baskets, block of woods, or buckets that we’re just ingeniously put up. But don’t mistake it, the restaurant’s overall look is elegant, people will wonder how they achieved that look. Curious? See it for yourself.

kkd-stk-bbq-cebu

b. DATE: Partner’s a foodie? Satisfy his/her cravings at KKD+STK while you also satisfy yourself watching him/her enjoying the food. But if you think that your partner isn’t a food enthusiast? Well, you are wrong. We all are. You heard of the saying “The way to a man’s heart is through the stomach?” Enjoy the overlooking sea view by the Mezanine or from the Veranda.

kkd-stk-bbq-cebu

c. DRINK & CHILL: Drink with buddies or just chill? Or drink and chill? Whichever suits you, chill by the sea with a live band on background(every night!) at KKD+STK. Up for beers or for shakes? We honestly don’t care as long as you enjoy the breezy night vibes.

4. Feel-at-Home

Who doesn’t want to feel at home? With a number of crews and cooks, expect a quick and convenient service from the restaurant with a waiting time of 15-20 mins. PLUS, your food to be served in inato-style and the mini-caldero (some of the dishes especially those with soups) on your table. It’s not as barbaric as it may sound but who couldn’t appreciate eating with the home vibes and a beautiful plating in your table? No one would even mind you eating with bare hands, we only ask that you keep your feet not higher than the table. *wheres the pun?*

Convenience Rating: 4 out of 5

5. Commendable Services

Aside from walk-in-and-dine, you may reserve your tables for friends, family and for your date.

• The restaurant is open for bookings and reservations whether in part or in full.
– Veranda or Mezanine or both: P300 per head with a minimum of 30 people.
– Entire Resto: P15,000 consumable

• You may also order from Zomato or Food Panda. Affordable and authentic Filipino food a few taps away.

Ding How, the original Dimsum House in Cebu, is back!

dinghowdimsumcebu

From its original location along Colon Street when it first opened in 1969 to the iconic restaurant in Mango Avenue, Ding How Dimsum House is a storied brand that most notably introduced dim sum cuisine in Cebu. The “steamed fried rice”, as only Cebuanos know it as such, was originally created in the kitchens of Ding How.

After a hiatus of 20 years, Ding How reopens at its new home at the Ground Floor of Robsinsons Galleria Cebu, bringing back with its heirloom recipes for a new generation of diners, as well as for the patrons who have grown up with the brand.

dinghowdimsumcebu

Ding How also first introduced all-day dim sum dining. Traditionally, dim sum was only served for lunch – a practice that remains in traditional Chinese restaurants.

Lee Cebu unveils Fall Winter 2017 Collection

lee-jeans-derek-ramsay-cebu

Inheriting the spirit of the Lee’s Spring/Summer Campaign, we have come to a season to further spark the creativity for millennials, to rediscover worklife in an environment full of imagination and challenges.

Lee’s inspiration on its collection this season embodies work and play, where comfort will always be there and should always complement well with style. And no ambassador fits best to Lee’s vision except actor-slash-athlete Derek Ramsay.

lee-jeans-cebu-derek 1

lee-jeans-cebu-derek 2

The Sugbo Ambassadors were lucky to crash an interview with the award-winning actor on stage.

Why do you think you are the perfect brand ambassador of Lee?

Derek: “Simply because I believe in the brand, and I wear Lee without them forcing me to. I’m a rugged guy, that’s my style, my fashion sense. It’s either you see me in a pair of denims or you see me in board shorts and a tank top. I’m all about denim and my denim being comfortable.”

What is your favorite line of Lee?

Derek: “Definitely the Lee 101 denim. It’s primarily because I love denim.”

Does denim make you feel (and look) sexy?

Derek: “Denim makes feel like a real man. That I think makes me look sexy as well *laughs* And when you’re walking around comfortable with yourself and what you wear, that will make you look sexier.”

Of course, we didn’t forget to ask about what he thinks of Cebu.

What do you love about Cebu?

Derek: “First are really the people, the Cebuanos. They make me feel so loved, especially events like this, they embrace me differently. I love the place, the resorts and beaches. The food. And the sports you can do here. I love Cebu. As long as they’d still want me, I will keep on coming back.”

Who needs an official definition for work or play? A seamless lifestyle that merges the two allows the modern worker to explore limitless possibilities, opening him/herself to unexpected fun and new experience. The workplace itself can be a playground for a mini-golf break or a table tennis challenge with co-workers where creative ideas are easily ignited. Playing around with new gadgets with the guy who shared an office together might seed a bold business plan. Worklife is rediscovered from not just the environment, but also the lifestyle and attitude.

Fluidity VS Sophistication: The All Rounded Men’s Catalogue for Work & Play

This season, the 101+ collection strives to reinterpret Lee’s denim heritage by reviving the Storm Rider Cowboy Jacket. First introduced in 1949 and named Storm Rider in 1954, this classic design has so many details that contributes to its legendary personality, such as the Alaskan blanket lining with corduroy collar, the classic Storm Rider label and Lee Riders button. All these gems are still celebrated in the collection but are modernized for the millennials at work to enhance functions and longer lasting qualities.

To enhance movements at work, the Tapered Fit jeans features 3 different fits, including the newly introduced 705 (comfort fit). This fabulous fit has a life goal of offering comfort to its wearer, ensuring that no constraints nor limitations along the way. The 707 (Regular Fit) is ideal for fluidity and movement, especially for the active and outgoing workers. The 709 (Slim Fit) answers the fashion conscious crowds’ prayers with a flattering cutting.

The songs’ message is the same — fear, frustration, anger, confusion, joy, love — because these are universal experiences. But it’s how the songs express realities that make the difference.
