The greatest hurdle of someone who is trying to save money is on how to cut down his expenses. Well, eating is the top consumer of your allowance! It’s really hard to resist food especially those that are freshly cooked. You could even taste it just by looking at it!

Reality is, you can’t save if you give in to temptation! Hey, I’m not saying you should starve yourself just to save up. What I’m implying here is that, you could save money while making your stomach full! I know. I know you’re thinking, “He’s nuts! How could we spend less while making our stomachs full?” But don’t judge me just yet because, you’ll be amazed after this!

PUNGKO PUNGKO.. Pungko, which means “to sit”, is the top grossing food source. Not only do they sell very affordable food, they are also very tasty. Imagine just by bringing rice from the house, you can then enjoy fresh, crispy and tasty food! And could enjoy these for less! You could save up to 50 pesos or even more! But choose wisely because there are some pungko pungko vendors who make their viands much expensive than the regular pricing.

NOTE: Before eating, make sure you have a strong stomach.There are some who are more sensitive than that of the others and can’t tolerate these kinds of food and look at the vendor if he’s neat enough.

Kadaugan sa Mactan Festival

One of the biggest festivals in Cebu next to the mother of all festivals “Sinulog”, the “Kadaugan Sa Mactan Festival” is an annual festival celebrated every 27th of April at the Mactan Shrine in Mactan Island, Cebu to commemorate the historical Battle of Mactan between the city’s hero Lapu-Lapu with the men of Mactan and Magellan with the Spanish soldiers.

On the morning of April 27, 1521, Magellan and a larger force returned to Mactan to end the revolt.Lapu-Lapu and the men of Mactan, armed with spears, and kampilan, faced Spanish soldiers led by Magellan wearing armor from his head to his knees. Magellan and a number of his men were killed, and the Spanish ships promptly left for good.

Lapu-Lapu was the king of Mactan, who is known as the first native of the archipelago to have resisted Spanish colonization. He is now regarded as the first Filipino hero. Lapu-Lapu is remembered for thwarting a Spanish invasion of his island and causing the death of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan, in what would later be known as the Battle of Mactan.

The Kadaugan sa Mactan Festival is held on the month of April with street dancing and the mouth-watering Food Festival. Several hotels and restaurants represented themselves and offered fine foods for a cheap price.

The Festival ends with the remake of the Battle of Mactan on April 27 in the early morning hours. The view at 5.30 am was truly memorable and remarkable. KadaugansaMactan has indeed transported us back in time that every Cebuano should experience.

May 30, 2015, Patty’s Bakeshop initiates its Barangay Support Program in Barangay Lagtang, Talisay . Bread by Patty Corporation owned by Mr. Jose Rodion L. Uy opened its first Patty’s Bakeshop in Barangay Lagtang. Since Brgy. Lagtang is where the first Patty’s bakeshop stood and their anniversary is coming, they decided to give back to the barangay the blessings they received. Popup tents, road signs, chairs, uniforms for the tanods and street sweepers ,and plates were given to the barangay officials so that they could properly distribute the items given.

With over 42 branches in the Philippines, Patty’s Bakeshop aims to give a personal touch with their customer service, also quality and cleanliness is their top priority.
Their customer service is really nice! After I bought something from the bakeshop, their sales lady greeted me “salamat sa pag bisita sir, God bless” with a smile and she didn’t know I was there for this article. Now that is what you call a great customer service!

A bizarre new game is starting to trend in the internet world. A Quija-board inspired game Charlie Charlie Challenge is taking over the children with the thought of them being connected with the dead Mexican spirit with red and black eye ‘charlie’.

The game is played with six unsharpened (its for the safety) pencils, a piece of paper and a partner. Facing your partner both must hold three pencils then arrange them as three sides of a box. Make sure that the ends will touch to your partner’s pencil to form a complete rectangle. But the most common way of playing is using only two pencils and a piece of paper where you place the pencil on a piece of paper in the shape of the cross with a word ‘yes’ and ‘no’.

To begin the challenge both players must chant “Charlie, Charlie can we play?” and “Charlie, Charlie are you there?” if the pencil moves downward it means no, then if the pencil moves upward it means yes, but if the pencils move into different ways it means maybe or the question can’t be answer at the moment please try again later. Charlie can answer a ‘yes or no’ questions just like the Magic 8 ball.
To end the challenge both players must also chant “Charlie, Charlie can we stop?” after the pencil move, both players must drop all the pencils on the floor to break any contact started with charlie.

In scientific thinking:
Charlie Charlie Challenge is just a silly internet fad made. The reason behind the pencil move is just a basic Gravity due to the awkward positioning of the pencil it will move until it gets it natural position, so even if you wouldn’r want the pencil to move it will surely move it can be due to the breathing or the movement of the grid and the land in the earth. The paranormal activity you’ll encounter if you don’t say goodbye to charlie is just because of the brain gets itself into a state that makes it extra suggestible and fearful.

In Biblical thinking:
Charlie Charlie Challenge is considered as a demonic activity. The priest says that opening a portal between demon and interacting to people is a danger.

If you are one of my closest friends, you pretty much know how obsess I currently am with footwears. And since I am obsess with them, I pretty much wish to at least take a SHOE SELFIE but, I don’t know how to get a close to perfection shot. That’s why I did some research. I read magazines, blogs, and even watched some vlogs just so I’d be able to know how to ace a shoe selfie.

Don’t fret and waste time looking for articles because, I have everything in store for you. If you want to be the shoefie queen in your hood, score a few tips from this article by checking out the tried and tested moves below.

I’m putting an emphasis about the importance of having a clean and manicured feet.
We want people to notice our shoes and not our nail dirt. Or, you may not have feet as pretty as whoever owns the prettiest feet but cleanliness can get you through. That’s why, this is the basic.
Ask your followers or friends to help you pick the best color for you.

Pretty shoes times three will your give you triple the IG hearts.
Treat the snapshots as if you’re taking a flatlay.

Be mindful of the angles as well as the beauty of the empty spaces. Do not feel the need to put extra “props” because the focus should be on your shoes and not those excess baggage.
