How to get Police Clearance ID and Certificate in Cebu City

Did you know that the Police Clearance now issues ID cards valid for a year? This card will come in handy when a valid ID is required immediately.

Time is gold especially in a busy city like Cebu. The faster it is, the better.

How do we achieve this? By having a guideline, by being informed and preparedness. I can help you with that, in the Police clearance aspect anyways.

Here is a step by step process on how to avail this Police Clearance and Police Clearance ID hassle-free and time-saving.

Requirements:

  • OLD Police clearance if available
  • Community tax certificate (cedula) and/or Barangay clearance
  • Birth certificate or any government-issued ID
  • Personal appearance

Steps:

STEP 1: Go to the Police Regional Office 7 Office in Camp Sergio Osmeña, beside CIC in Gorordo Avenue.

STEP 2: Get a Visitors ID from the police personnel at the gate. You will then be pointed to the tents.

STEP 3: Fill out the form.

STEP 4: Present requirements to the receiving officer for evaluation.

STEP 5: Your name will be called then you can proceed to your payment to Cashier 1 inside the office followed by Cashier 2.

  • For the Police Clearance: ₱60 at Cashier 1 (until 4pm only)
  • For the Police Clearance ID card: ₱200 at Cashier 2

STEP 6: Verification of warrant

  • If Positive (HIT!): Request verification to main office
  • If Negative: Proceed to encoding

STEP 7: Capturing of picture and encoding applicant’s data with biometric fingerprinting and signature

STEP 8: Giving of hard copy Police Clearance Certificate and Police Clearance ID.

  • ID Validity: 1 year
  • Whole processing time: 20-30 mins
  • Operating hours: 8AM to 5PM on weekdays except holidays
  • Peak hours: 10AM to 2PM

HOW TO GET THERE?

Exact location: Sitio Bantayan Poblacion, Cordova, Cebu — 1-2 hours away from the city.

Getting around is not difficult, as the resort is located in Mactan Island where the airport and main commercial districts are only a taxi ride away (30-minute drive from the airport or 45 minutes from the city).

BY CAR: It’s still best to bring your own vehicle so you won’t have a hard time going back to the city. You can use Waze or Google Maps, just type in the resort’s name.

BY TAXI/UBER/GRAB: Taxi/Uber/Grab ride from the city would cost you around P350-400, good for 4 people.

How to get there?

Exact location: Sta.Cruz, Ronda, Southern Cebu — approx. 3 hours away from the city. Ronda is located in between Dumanjug and Alcantara (before Moalboal).

BY BUS: From the South Bus Terminal, ride any bus bound for Moalboal. Inform the driver to drop you off before Sta. Cruz Elementary School or that you’re heading to Delcio’z Resto Cafe which is located just along the high way. Estimated bus fare is ₱120 per person (one-way).

How to get there?

Exact Location: Bounty Beach, Malapascua Island, Daanbantayan, Cebu — 4 hours away from Cebu City, and 30 minutes away from Maya Port.

BY BUS AND FERRY: From the Cebu North Bus Terminal, ride a bus going to Maya/Bagay. It will drop you off at Maya Port. Bus fare is around ₱150 per head, travel time is 3-4 hours.

From the port, ride a ferry boat going to Malapascua Island. Boat fare is ₱100 per head, travel time is around 45 minutes. Boats ply every 30 minutes from 6:30AM to 4:30PM only.

PARKING: If you’re bringing your own car, you have to leave it in the mainland near Maya Port. Look for ‘Sugbo Maya’ or any private property where you can park for ₱100-150 per day.

Note: If it’s low tide, you may need to transfer to a paddle boat going to the shore.
