See the line where the sky meets the sea? —it calls you. But you’re not Moana. You’re just a humble human being seeking for the comfort of beach while imagining the salt tickling your nose. Listen to the inner voice calling from the peaceful neighborhood in Maribagu, Lapu-Lapu City. A rustic-themed Buyong Beach House is waiting for your tired soul to retreat in this heavenly private beach house.

How’s your Mental Well-Being?

Psychologist refer it as “blue space”. The expansive view of the sea water in front of the beach house will calm your mind. Stress from work and toxic relationships seems to melt away as you stare at the inviting water just beyond the wicker loungers you choose to peacefully lay down. The beach house offers an open space to take in the scenic view of the ocean from the morning you wake up to the setting of the sun. The sea is all yours to see.

The blinding fluorescent light in your office on a daily basis must be stressful for you. Not to mention the load of paper works with deadlines waving just around the corner, your life must be in chaos. Get some fresh air once in a while. Change your environment from the four walls of your office, to a meticulously designed beach house where you can take a break from breathing dusty piles of paper. You need a cool breeze and salty-sweet smell of the sea for a holiday, you hard working monster.

Benefits of Rest and Renewal

You might be well-aware by now how staying beside the beach can relax one’s mind. And yet, have you ever wondered how this works on your system scientifically? Researchers have found that the sound of waves alters brain patterns, which lulls you into a deeply relaxed state and rejuvenates body and mind. (suninternational.com) Go ahead. Get the rest you deserve. There are sofas placed by the sea for you to lay back to either own some tan lines or simply witness the sunset in peace. A true sense of relaxation will renew your sense of purpose as well as de-clutter your mind.

Swimming Pool for the Night

Amidst the soothing effect of the surrounding sea water, if you’re an anxious and imaginative human being, perhaps sea in your own perception is full of unknown creatures lurking at the bottom of the sea. In short, you love relaxing by the sea but not in the sea. No worries, Buyong Beach House understands the demand of your soul. A swimming pool is waiting to fulfill the thirst of your soul—not salty, just right. Unsolicited advice: go for a dip during the night. Swimming at night burns off your left-over energy and releases feel-good endorphins that reduce stress, and provide a calming effect that helps you fall asleep and stay asleep.

Recently, the Philippines has reached another milestone as it has ranked at the 76th spot in the 2020 Henley Passport Index, a global ranking system that scores which passport can get you to the most number of destinations without a prior visa. Imagine this: you only need a passport to visit 67 destinations outside the Philippines without needing a visa!

Hopefully, we will continue to climb on this ladder and get more destinations within our reach. If you already have a passport, then plan out your next travel with the barkada or with the family. If you don’t, I suggest you already get one yourself as it is quite readily accessible to take one and will only take a little amount of time with the proper requirements and preparation.

If you’re already getting your planners and pens ready, then here are the destinations you can go to:

The playful colors are not in any way overwhelming to eyes and are even quite mystical to the sight.

The site where the flowers are has witnessed a lot of events happen in the past since the time of the Japanese colonization but it has only gained attention a year or two ago after the owners decided to renovate and landscape it. Public White Sandy Beach at Baha-Baha Beach in Ronda

Who’s up for a south-bound ride? Yes, you do. You might badly need it, especially when you’re in dire need of vitamin sea. Just along Ronda road, approximately two hours ride heading south of Cebu, there’s an enchanted beach open for the public. Yes, it is free of entrance fee! Pack your beach-y OOTD, tents, and some bag of food, and head out to soak under the sun at the Baha-Baha Beach or better known as Kasadya beach!

Swimming in Blue Water

Even being a public beach, the beauty of the beach is not compromised in terms of clear waters. Away from a concentrated population, the beach boasts its clear blue waters. A photoshoot featuring the water as background invites curious, sea-lover minds to see the beach for themselves. You can see the bottom of the sea because that’s just how clear it is. Take a dip, bring your snorkel, and play with the cold water at this paradise!

Grilling by the Shore

Nothing beats a great beach outing than mouth-watering grilled seafood. You can stop by a local wet market to choose freshly caught fishes and bring them to Baha-Baha Beach. Some coals and grilling net will make its magic to complete the perfect dish for lunch. A smoky delicious aroma hanging in the air just makes the experience way better. Just a friendly reminder, make sure to clean as you go. Dispose of your garbage properly before leaving

Playing all Kinds of Games

The long stretch of white sands will become your playground. Bring some volleyball or ropes for Tug of War if you like. Rekindle childhood memories as you play along the shore with Frisbees and Tag. Let your children enjoy the beautiful sand. Just make sure the little ones are well-looked out. It may seem fun to have fun wiggling the feet in wet sand or playing by the seashore but when a sprain happens or your child will be outbalanced by the waves, things can go down pretty fast.

Chilling in a Floating Cottage

If Bohol is famous for its floating restaurant, Baha-Baha Beach also has its low-key floating cottage that you can rent for as low as 70 pesos per head. Bring your food to the cottage and enjoy seawater at 360 degrees! However, there is no life vest for rent in the area so if you have one, please bring them for safety purposes. If you’re afraid of deep waters, you can stay under the shadows of the coconut trees lining down the shore—all for free. There are no cottages on the shore at the moment so you better bring your own tents, umbrellas, and mats for convenience purposes.

Money can’t buy happiness—or so they say. Yet in Baha-Baha Beach, you don’t need a wallet full of cash to enjoy the pristine waters. This beach is for public use—no entrance fee, no cottage to pay—, welcoming visitors from neighboring municipalities. Appreciating nature’s blessing by taking care of it will open more doors for tourism within the local area. So when you drop by, make sure to leave nothing but footsteps and great memories.

The Private Beach

Located in Bakhawan, Daanbantayan, the cabana flaunts an intimate stretch of white beach with aquamarine waters. Thanks to the cabana having its own beach, you get to stroll, sunbathe, or swim as long as you like without having anything or anyone getting in the way of your quality time!

The beach is cozy and the sand is fine and powdery while several coral rocks dot the property adding some character to the coast. At times of low tide, the water ebbs and reveals long, sandy, tidal flats. The slopes are gentle and don’t drop abruptly into the waters. The sand and the scenery come together as ingredients for a truly wonderful stroll in a beach spanning kilometers.

The Exclusive Cabana

The Sundown Beach Cabana is a simple, yet beautiful bungalow. It’s fully equipped with all the necessities and comforts of home, but it comes with amazingly relaxing ambiance and a stunning panorama of the beach.

The house has an open kitchen with complete sets of pans and utensils for cooking and dining. You can opt to cook on the gas stove or on their free-standing charcoal grill. The open design lets the aroma and smoke out while inviting the sea breeze in.

Next of the kitchen you’ll find their veranda overlooking the beach and the Visayan Sea. The spacious veranda offers a roomy area where you can seek shelter from the sun while still admiring the beach. The view of the sea and the horizon is so mesmerizing, you can spend hours just staring from the comfort of the veranda!

You might be wondering where they got inspiration for their name. You won’t be wondering too long after you witness the brilliant display of the setting sun right in front of their veranda. Since the house is located on the northwestern edge of Daanbantayan, guests get to see an unobstructed sunset over the Visayan Sea.

At the end of the day, you can comfortably ease into their 3 bedrooms with air-conditioner units. Thanks to the proximity to the shore, the lapping of waves and the sound of the sea breeze will lull you to sleep.
