Cebu’s springs have an attractive allure to them. From small cascades to the sizeable pools and groundwater reserves, the springs of Cebu have the natural charm of being absolutely refreshing.
Another wonder to the list is Dandel Kilat Spring Resort. The resort has just recently opened its doors, yet it’s already deserving a mention!
Located in Lapay, Argao, the spring has both natural and manmade pools of freshwater surrounded by the lush greenery of a forest. Being nestled in the middle of nature, Dandel Kilat provides a secluded and intimate place to relax.
Go ahead and jump into the spring and let the cold cascading water wash out your worries and stresses!
For casual swimming and enjoying the atmosphere, the spring resort has a manmade pool that’s just the right place to soak in the beauty of the surroundings.
Perhaps what makes Dandel Kilat unique is the accompanying live harp music. You read that right, you can swim in the heavenly cold spring while angelic harp music is played by a skilled local talent, right by the pool.
The harpist plays all kinds of songs, lively, melodramatic, nostalgic, he has just about something for every occasion! The natural setting, the atmosphere, and the music just come together and make Dandel Kilat Spring a surreal spring experience.
If you’re planning to go, note that the spring is closed on Mondays for their weekly general cleaning.

Cebu has dozens upon dozens of beaches, and it seems that the number of resorts and beach accommodations keep rising as more spots are discovered and event more coastal areas are developed.
One resort adding to the roster of budding beach destinations is Baybay Beach Resort! Baybay Beach is located in the southwestern edge of Cebu, Dumanjug. It lies right along the coast with direct access to the sea.
Just opened last June of this year, the resort is making waves on social media thanks to the constant improvements and additions to the resort. Even if the property is quite new, plenty of guests have already graced the beach resort.
Honestly, Baybay Beach Resort deserves the attention. Right when you come into the premises, you’ll be greeted by a wide backdrop of the calm blue sea. Their cottages rest over open spaces that really bring a relaxing atmosphere to the resort.
These cottages are not only cozy, but also kept clean as the management makes sure to disinfect each of them every single day. That way, you can stay worry-free and just enjoy the sea.
Now, it must be known that all beaches are not created equal. The south is quite known for its white sand beaches with powdery sand and clear waters. You’ll find the same clear waters here, but the coastline has more of a wild, sea-like feel to it.
Instead of the creamy white fine sand, the coast is a characteristic mix of corals, rocks, and pebbles. It definitely has its own charm of being untamed and rugged. Along with that, mature mangroves clump together, creating a unique seascape that’s just as beautiful as any beach.
At the time of writing, Baybay Beach Resort is still on soft opening. This doesn’t stop the management from staying competitive and consistently improving their amenities. Every once in a while, the resort completes an installment to improve their service.
If you’ve already been to Baybay Beach Resort, be sure to come back for their next installation!

Without a doubt, WWE is known as the pinnacle of wrestling culture, and since its inception, it has gathered top wrestlers from across the world.
With household names we all grew up with such as The Undertaker, Kane, Big Show, Rey Misterio, Chris Benoit, John Cena and many more, the WWE family is growing more diverse than ever as one from Southeast Asia has managed to land a prestigious spot in WWE.

Hailing from Singapore, Dante Chen, or Sean Tan in real life, is the first Southeast Asian to be part of the WWE or World Wresting Entertainment. At 25 years old, Tan was recruited by the WWE last July 2021, and eventually had his first match last September.
Tan was a member of his local professional wrestling school at the age of 16, as he is a big fan of WWE himself – and now, entering WWE is a childhood dream for him fulfilled indeed.
Recently, Dante Chen made news when in his debut match on the weekly “WWE NXT 2.0”, managed to best Trey Baxter, an American newcomer as well, in just one-minute last September 21, 2021.

The quick match wowed both judges and viewers, which is a good and lasting impression for a newcomer like Dante Chen. With this win, he is also the first Singaporean WWE wrestler who have ever won a WWE match.
Wearing a silver mask and a red robe, Asian WWE fans are surely impressed with the new addition of Dante Chen in last September’s match. Many fans and critics see a lot of potential in Dante Chen, especially after that one-minute debut match, on top of his experience in wrestling since in his teens.
For avid wrestling fans, Chen is recognized prior his WWE entry as he was known as Trexxus, who went on to win the Southeast Asia Champion at the 2017 Singapore Pro Wresting competition. He was then scouted by one of the WWE representatives, and the rest is history.

While we’re on topic, the swimming pool also features a quaint waterfall with a steady stream of water to add to the ambiance. Then, at night, the pool transforms as its waters explode into different colors.
Now, what’s a resort without some lounging? Viking Paradis provides cozy cottage rentals and outdoor picnic tables for guests. The best thing about these cottages is that you can keep appreciating the surroundings and the views from the comfort of your seat.

Space has always seemed like a far dream for humanity, but by 1961, the Russians were able to send the first man to space.
Take note that the first plane ever in the world developed by the Wright Brothers was made in 1903. So, just 58 years later, we were able to reach much higher than the sky.
Now, in 2021, another feat has been achieved as the Russians once again sent a film team in space.
Photo from nasa.gov
On board the Russian SoyuzMS19 spacecraft, Russian actress Yulia Peresild and film director Klim Shipenko were launched into space on October 5. Anton Shkaplerov, a veteran cosmonaut, is in charge of the mission. The film team is flying to the ISS on the Soyuz MS19 and is expected to film sequences for the film “The Challenge” for 12 days in orbit.
The Challenge will “focus around a female surgeon who is deployed to the ISS to save a cosmonaut,” according to a GMA story.
Photo from nasaspaceflight.com
According to Wikipedia, the plot is as follows:
“Cosmonaut Ivanov loses consciousness while the spacecraft is in flight. Doctors decide that it will be necessary to perform heart surgery right in zero gravity. Cardiac surgeon Zhenya, who does not have time to raise her teenage daughter, is preparing for the flight.”
Apparently, this historic Russian space mission has beaten a Hollywood space project to become the first film to be shot in space.
The Hollywood project is claimed to be a partnership between A-list celebrity Tom Cruise, a known Scientologist, NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), and SpaceX (founded by Elon Musk), and was revealed in May of last year.
The momentous event took place at Kazakhstan’s Baikonur Cosmodrome launch site. Roscosmos, Russia’s equivalent of NASA, was in charge of this project.
