There’s this new cafe in Cebu City that you will surely love. Heavenly Goodies Cakes & Pastries, a relatively small cafe located in Banawa, impressed many of its customers (including myself) for its delicious and “heavenly” home-made cakes and pastries.
They have a variety of cakes and pastries to choose from, plus milkshakes, pasta and the all-time favorite halo-halo. The best-sellers are the Mud Cake and Red Velvet Cake.
Heavenly Goodies also customize cakes for weddings or birthdays, and supply dessert buffets for any occasions at an affordable price.

You can ride any jeepney going to Banawa (or 12L from Ayala Cebu). Inform the driver to drop you off near Shell Gas Station and Autofocus in Banawa. It’s located under the same building sa Arbee’s Bakeshop and Jed Sevilla Bridal Gowns.
The talk-about maze garden in Cebu — LABYRINTH, is a 25-meter in diameter puzzled pathway with an intricate design that makes you wonder which path to take.
Unlike the international maze garden, it has a smaller height which allows you to see the whole maze garden. The end of the maze is the statue of the Virgin Mary with Baby Jesus in her arms. The duration of the maze from its entrance up to the center will make you finish a rosary (the main purpose of this maze). This convoluted maze garden has earned over a hundred or thousand of attention from the locals and foreigners alike. Perhaps it’s because the place is certainly Insta-worthy.

The Labyrinth is located beside the famous Capilla Sta. Ana which is owned by Lilian Yared, a native from Toledo and her Canadian husband Michael Over. It is known for its astounding religious relics and its European architecture-inspired chapel.
Considered also as one of the best places to meditate, The Labyrinth has a museum that contains different paintings and relics that were collected by the couple in their travels.
As you visit the place, please be reminded that this is a solemn place and follow the rules and regulations. No camera allowed inside the museum. There is also a 30-min historical tour. If you wish to join, make sure to contact them before going.

Experience the fun and adventure of speed! It’s time to switch on the engine’s button at KartZone Cebu.
Kart racing or karting has become a new hub for the novice and even to the pioneering riders. It is an exhilarating driving sport where brave souls dwell. And if you are one, then this is the right spot for your next outdoor adventure checklist.

What’s cool about karting is that you will get to experience driving at multiple twist and turns lane at great speed without the need of a driver’s license and a CITOM watching over you. Of course, your safety is the priority so you will need to go through a short briefing from the staff.
Kartzone Cebu was established since 2001 and has developed its Go-kart rental and racing school to attract more groups and individuals. It also hosts annual motorcycle and scooter races and has become the venue for auto club meetings, team buildings, concerts, and promotional events.

Filipinos are always into food. Whether the food is local or foreign, we just love to indulge and eat to our heart’s content. Though lately, eat-all-you-can’s have become a trend. And that includes Korean restaurants offering unlimited Samgyeopsal at an affordable price. No wonder it has also been dominating our cravings for the past years.
Samyeopsals(grilled pork) may be a jargon to us before, but now the name appears to pop up everywhere in the city. How about Gyeram-Jjjim (steamed eggs), Galbi (marinated beef), and Galmaegisal (korean barbecue)? Curious of how they taste like? Worry not because this new Korean resto is just within the City. Experience neat and rad Korean grilling at Smith Meat and Salad, an Unlimited Korean Grill at Gaisano Country Mall in Banilad, Cebu City.
Smith Meat and Salad offers UNLIMITED pork, barbecues and more for only ₱399 per head. You can actually choose the type of meat you want! NO TIME LIMIT! The best part? The servers can actually cook for you, so you don’t have to worry about the hassle of eating and cooking (and eating and cooking again).
Start with a Korean Miso Soup to boost your appetite, and get ready to fill your tummy with high quality meat and delectable vegetables, and even Kimchi. If there’s one thing you must try in this restaurant, it has to be the Galbi (marinated beef). Enjoy its lusciousness because it is marinated in a sweet and savory sauce.

Asa ka ganahan mukaon? Sa ku-an! [Where do you want to eat? Uhmm…]
Let’s cut the chase. This new eat-all-you-can restaurant in Cebu City is the MOST sulit I have known so far!
Opened just last week, KUAN Kan-anan serves EAT-ALL-YOU-CAN Cebuano food favorites — Carcar Lechon, Lumpia Shanghai, Pancit Bam-i, Fried Chicken, Chorizo — for only 288 PESOS per head! Not only that, the fee is already inclusive of UNLIMITED puso (hanging rice) and bottomless iced tea.
Our team visited KUAN earlier today and tried their food. To our surprise, all food served tasted real good. Of course the Carcar Lechon was the main highlight, and it did not disappoint. It was really delicious! We also loved how spacious and ventilated the restaurant is (compared to other eat-all-you-can eateries). But don’t expect too much on the space as it was previously a house, transformed to KUAN Kan-anan. But one thing for sure, it’s worth it!
KUAN Kan-anan is located along the road of General Maxilom Ave., Cebu City — just right across the old Sacred Heart Jesuit Campus near DOLE building & CIC Cebu City. It is open DAILY from 5PM to 10PM.
Exact location: Along the road of General Maxilom Ave., Cebu City — just right across the “Sacred Heart Jesuit – Old Campus” as the nearest landmark near DOLE building & CIC Cebu City. Only 5-10 minutes away from Ayala Center Cebu.
BY JEEPNEY: Ride any jeepney passing through CIC or DOLE. Or:
– 13C from USC Main / Colon, drop off near the old Sacred Heart Campus
– 03B from Mabolo / Colon, drop off near CIC or DOLE Building
BY GRAB / TAXI / ANGKAS: Just navigate with Waze or Google Maps and set your destination to “Sacred Heart Jesuit – Old Campus”. The restaurant is just right across.
BY CAR: Parking your car may be a bit hassle, especially during rush hours (5PM-7PM). Park at your own risk (for towing), along Sacred Heart Old Campus or behind CIC. Better to park at Ayala, then hail a taxi/Grab from there.
There are two ways to a successful de-stressing when you are living in the city. One is of the mind and the other is of the body. They are the staycations, pampering, hang-outs, coffees, etc.
Aloha Mana Spa & Café offers you both — a well-deserved massage and pampering of the body and the peace of mind relaxation of a café while chitchatting with friends.
Their name stands with giving that Hawaiian “Aloha spirit” and hopes to be the “Mana” or miracle to those who need the escape.
Unique Spa Experience
Relaxation at its finest. It’s not the typical spa you have experienced elsewhere. Aloha Mana gives you a different yet satisfyingly relaxing feeling even upon opening the doors to the spa area and at the very start of the service.
As you enter the spa area, you would immediately feel the “ocean vibes” with its resort-themed set-up and interiors. Of course, you will be greeted by their courteous and smiling massage therapists.
Aloha Mana is the only spa in the city to offer the “Many Hands Massage”, which is their signature massage. This means two people catering to your needs and four hands taking away all your aches. All those synchronized movements which are far from those moments of us waiting for the left arm to finish so they can move on to the right.
They also have this facial where your face is painted with actual fruits. It’s everything natural, literally. All those things that are good for the skin like watermelon, cucumber, sugar and yogurt are all there. Your face would be tasty and glowing at the same time.
Their café offers us these selection of good food and great tasting coffee, perfect for an after massage filling.
Chilling at the Café
Aloha Mana’s café serves for many purpose — while waiting for your companion/s or for your turn, for chitchatting with friends over good food and coffee, or even for studying, working or just chilling.
They serve a specialty linear coffee (with unlimited refills), a variety of snacks and beverages to choose from, and all-day breakfast meals and selections such as sandwiches, pasta and more.
There’s more! Aloha Mana Spa & Café is also the best place for your next Instagram-worthy OOTD spot.
Exact location: 2/F Queensland Manor Condominiums, Rahmann Street, Cebu City — at the back of Plaza Nouvelle, same building with The Tavern. Only 10 minutes away from Fuente Osmena Circle and 15 minutes away from Ayala Center Cebu.
BY PUBLIC COMMUTE: Ride any jeepney going to General Maxilom and drop off at the alley/eskinita near a small bridge — before (if from Fuente) or after (if from Ayala/SM) Mango Park Hotel.
– 12L, from Punta Princesa/Labangon or Banawa
– 04C, from Lahug / Carbon, Colon
– 17C, from Apas / Carbon, Colon
…From there, walk straight going through the alley until you find Plaza Nouvelle (with large snail figures), then walk a little further where you can find the signage of “The Tavern”. Aloha Mana is located on the 2nd floor of Queensland Manor Condominiums. This is only a 5-7 minute walk from the crossing.
BY CAR / GRAB / TAXI: Just navigate with Waze or Google Maps and set your destination to “Aloha Mana Spa & Cafe”. Ample parking space is available.
