After the highly successful opening of the Lhuillier’s Cebu Safari and Adventure Park in northern Cebu comes another exciting animal-related project that has just happened on August 24, 2019 in the prime South Road Properties (SRP), Cebu City near SM Seaside City Cebu.
Cebu Ocean Park is the first marine park in Visayas and Mindanao, and has the largest Oceanarium in the Philippines (bigger than Manila Ocean Park) with function spaces and a food hall. It is geared for an all-year round tourist destination.

#1: Relatively bigger than Manila Ocean Park
Cebu Ocean Park sits on a 1-hectare (10,000sqm) area, bigger than Manila Ocean Park’s 8,000sqm. As many as 3,000 people can be accommodated within the park at any given time.
The main oceanarium tank has 4,000 cubic meters, with a water depth of 7.2 meters. This is more than three times the size of the one in Manila Ocean Park and more than twice its depth.
Due to the park’s size, it houses around 200 different species of animals. While majority of the animals will be marine creatures, the park will also have several species of birds, insects and reptiles.

It’s a big step gearing towards Cebu’s efficient commuting system by modernizing the public transportation.
Aside from the historical Jeepneys (PUJ) that commuters usually use, Bus-Jeepney or BEEP mass transport was launched early this year and can now be spotted in the roads of Cebu City.
More about BEEP
There are at least 40 models plying around the city. These fully air-conditioned and equipped with TV, GPS and CCTV cameras ensuring safe, efficient and comfortable public commute.
Blue vs White BEEPs
The only yet insignificant difference between the two (aside from the color, of course) is the seating capacity.
Blue BEEP: can carry 33 passengers with 26 seats.
White BEEP: can carry 31 persons, with 22 seats.
Take a mini virtual tour inside our BEEP unit in Cebu!
