LOOK! Celebrities applaud Cebuana’s hand-painted native bags

0

Nope, this is not Heart Evangelista. She is our Cebuana pride — Monique of Monica by Monique.

Apart from the fact that these native bags are made locally, the woman behind the paintings on these bags is also from Cebu. Though the quality and details speak international, you can never really tell that these bags are made locally.

It all started when a friend offered Monique to paint on native bags for the local weavers. This is not only because of her passion for everything native, this is also to help the local community.

What is not to love? The bags look exquisite and every bag has its own story to tell.

Most of the requests they receive are for portraits on the bags. Either of their mothers, their children, or even of the owners. You can really let your bag speak for itself.

On August 18, 2021, the Cebu City council, in its regular session, has approved the Rotunda proposal.

The Regional Director of the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) Engr. Edgar Tabacon,  proposed to the council the plan to construct a roundabout (rotunda). The rotunda will be at the SRP junction, along Vestil Street in Mambaling.
