This 21-Year-Old is the Cebuano behind the trending Coffee House in Cebu City

A new café is making a buzz in the city of Cebu with a special offering of croissants.

Croissants are not well known to the public much less how it’s properly pronounced but they are a buttery and flaky pastry mostly associated with France and got its name from its historical crescent shape and it is made of a layered yeast-leavened dough.

Alice in Borderland Season 2 set to premiere in December 2022

“There will be more games!”

-Mira Kano at the end of Alice in Borderland Season 1

We’ve waited long enough — it’s almost time to return to the games!

On March 30, Netflix posted on various platforms that the second season of the said film is set to premiere in December 2022.

According to Tao Tsuchiya and Kento Yamazaki, it was mentioned that there were large-scale scenes and big set pieces like explosions during the filming. It seems like the face card games have been really prepared exceedingly as the world of the show is bigger than ever!

With Dori Sakurada coming back with the main casts, it seems like Niragi has survived the fire he caused at the ‘Beach’ back in season 1. A big sike to those who thought he completely burned into ashes because “Niragi will be back”

Back on December 24, 2020, Netflix Asia dropped a teaser video to announce that Alice in Borderland Season 2 was currently in the works which means the production team took so much time and effort this season to fulfill our expectations.

The other cast members also shared their excitement in announcing the season on their Instagram accounts by posting behind-the-scene photos of the show.

The game master still got many more wonderful games prepared for all of you, so look forward to it!

This ‘Secret’ Bar in Cebu City needs a ‘password’ before you can enter

A secret bar in Cebu city with a password? The hunt is on.

Llula is a cozy bar that has purposely avoided any social media presence and spread by word of mouth only which makes it such a find. And to top it off this secret bar also has a secret password that changes weekly.

Photo from LLula Barytapas on Facebook
Photo from LLula Barytapas on Facebook

You can recognize their door by a huge dragonfly painting on the wall with their lighted “Llula” sign. Llula comes from the Spanish word libélula, which means dragonfly.

It is quaint, rustic and a house turned into a bar which makes for its homey charm. It is a home bar with an underground den feels that makes its mysterious vibe. Its interior has all types of art displayed as well.

Photo from Jahni Boi YouTube Channel

To those who do know the bar and have been there, they have specially crafted cocktails. Some of the famous ones are:

  •  Like an Apple Pie- made with flavored vodka, cinnamon whiskey, apple juice, and garnished with thin apple slices. It’s sweet with a hint of smokiness.
  • Pineapple Express- made with Bacardi 8 Anos, Campari, pineapple juice, lime juice, and some lemongrass syrup. A perfect mix of sweet and tart.

They also have the classics if you’re not up for a little experiment tasting like Old Fashioned, an Amaretto Sour, or a Mojito.

Photo from Jahni Boi YouTube Channel

Llula’s menu is highly influenced by Spanish cuisine with dishes like Spanish tapas, Mushroom Chicharrones, Berenjenas, or battered eggplants with honey and a selection of croquetas: Spanish Chorizo and Truffled Mushroom and Crab Croquetas.

To anyone who wishes to find Llula, it is somewhere in Apas, Cebu City and find the firefly. Its air of exclusivity and mystery may just be what a lot of us are looking for.

Photo from Jahni Boi YouTube Channel

While Sugbo.ph is known to provide the menu, contact information, and ‘how to get there’ details, we are giving this discreet (but wholesome) bar an exemption. The best way to know the password and where you can find it, like Llula always says, ask a friend or wait till you hear it from a friend.

LTO’s Plate-Making Robot can produce 450 plates per hour

The second automated plate-making machine acquired by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has started operating, as part of the agency’s modernization efforts and fast-tracking of plates distribution.

The new plate-making robot, specifically for producing motorcycle license plates, is the second plate-making machine acquired by the LTO for its own Plate-Making Facility in Quezon City. The first machine is dedicated for the production of motor vehicle plates.

The machine is capable of manufacturing 450 motorcycle plates per hour in an efficient and systematic manner or 3,600 motorcycle plates in an eight-hour shift a day, and 7,200 motorcycle plates a day on a two-shift basis.

The machine, which will be manned by two LTO personnel, can produce a total of 158,400 motorcycle plates a month on a two-shift per day basis.

Transportation Secretary Art Tugade said that the arrival of the motorcycle plate-making machine will address the recurring problems in issuing motorcycle license plates, which occurred due to issues of backlogs in the past.

Meanwhile, LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante explained that the newest plate-making machine will complement the existing plate-making machines at the LTO Plate-Making Facility to ensure a more efficient and swift motor vehicle and motorcycle plates production.

Established in April 2018, the LTO plate-making facility will expedite the production and distribution of license plates, which was used to be outsourced in the past.
