Our weekend getaway at Cuarto Vacation House Mactan

Being born with a wanderlust soul, the question we always have in our minds is “where to go?” When all the known places — beaches, resorts, adventure parks, etc. — have been visited and almost all of them were discovered, where should we go next? The searching never ends, though we can give you a place where you can relax away from the loud crowd and at the same time enjoy the sea breeze of Mactan. Introducing, the CUARTO VACATION HOUSE MACTAN.

Located in Punta Engaño, Lapu Lapu (a few blocks away from Movenpick), Cuarto Mactan is a 20km travel from the city proper to the vacation spot, approximately an hour and a half. It is a privately owned vacation house giving you the luxury to enjoy the place without unnecessary nuisances. From the moment we entered the premise and roamed around the house with its modernized rusticity theme, we were awestruck. Well, we will just let the pictures do the talking shall we?

The place is basically yours for the taking or for the time being. With a few of their staff taking care of your needs, you can definitely enjoy the experience to the fullest. The vacation house is composed of four rooms, three of which with a bed and one with double deck. Definitely a good size for a family time, team building, and even just a barkada outing, isn’t it?

Not only that, the entire place is fully air-conditioned and ready to satisfy your comfort needs. With the good interior and scenery, what more could it be missing? Aside from that, right beside the vacation house is a beach resort which offers adventures like island hopping, jet skiing, parasailing and more. By the way, have we mentioned the pool? Yes, there is a pool just for you.

An overnight stay in this exquisite vacation house will cost you PHP 25,000. This will cover everything the place has to offer — clean comfort rooms, a kitchen to use for all those cooking and the beds and living room for when fatigue starts to hit.

Allow me to start this blog post with a disclaimer: “I am a woman but, would rarely be seen in a too much feminine ensemble.” And after saying that, I would like to think that you would most probably be skewed in whatever way possible. Yes, I am a woman by flesh, blood, and by heart but I’ve just grown too tired of wearing floral dresses and the like. But just like the other women out there, I know what’s a good “feminine” ensemble and what’s not.

And this post is going to be most likely that! I have 9 women in 7 photos who aced their feminine ensemble. When I say feminine, that means being able to show that they are a woman despite the dress that they are wearing.

So, if you’re like me, a woman who is interested in fashion, I implore for you to trust my sense of judgement on this and please feel free to check and see the list.

She looks every bit of a woman in that floral skirt, nude platforms and that flowy white longsleeves. Wait! Why will I not mention her sling? Her camera of course! Keep slaying, Gab![/box]

[box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]2 She is not awarded as the best-dressed in the Forever21 event for nothing. Ching Sadaya is a fashion blogger and why will I contest that? I love how her look is so feminine underneath that coat. Plus her brogues matching with her choker and her blouse. I’ll stop after I give praises to her bag too. *winks*[/box]

[box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]3 To those who follow VV (Vern and Vernice Enciso), you prolly know this pose and this twinning ensemble. They’re both in pastel / nude colored ensemle but in different styles. Mac Ladeza is wearing her custom-made skirt while Nina Villarin is wearing a nude jumpsuit. Wait! Am I the only one who noticed that their sling bags’ also twinning? I bet not.[/box]

[box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]4 Britt Asunto is not your mainstream type of feminine. Though she’s rocking this look, the way she posed for the camera sure does look more feminine. I love how she managed to match her black shirt with everything. She looked every bit of a rocker chic in this ensemble. Slay the runway, Britt![/box]

[box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]5 This look is probably one of the go-to looks of the girls in the metro. The off-shoulder top and her fitted pants with her block heels made everything look so effortlessly beautiful. And wait! Don’t forget to mention her bag and her makeup that’s on-fleek! [box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]6 I’ve mentioned twinning previously and they are definitely NOT an exception. The way they twin in their denim ensemble is just so on-point! I’ve heard that they’re cousins so fashion definitely runs in their blood. Aileda Lee Caress Cabusas and Chara Maive Amor Gabiana brought twinning to the next level![/box]

I love how she paired her white longsleeves, flare pants with her own hablon scarf. She looks stunning in this photo and please don’t forget her dazzling smile. Keep acing all your OOTD’s, Toni! I know that being a woman, we need a little bit of fashion inspiration from time to time and I’d like to think that after you went through the list, you’re surprised by what you found. That there’s a whole lot more to those skimpy skirts and long dresses and that there’s more to those chokers on your necks.

I usually visit spas twice or thrice a month since I started working 2 years ago. And this is actually the first time I have encountered a spa that genuinely cares about my health. Before the massage started, they first checked my blood pressure and whether or not I took medications for the past 24 hours. From there, the staff made recommendations as to what type of massage treatment fit me. But if you opt to choose your own treatment, the masseur will just make necessary adjustments as to pressure and whatnot based on your results.

What if your blood pressure is high? They will ask you to relax and rest first in their posh guest area until you are okay. That’s what I call true customer service!

#2 Posh interiors, relaxing ambiance

We can’t deny it. One way we can judge a good spa is by looking how neat the place is, especially the guest area, and how relaxing the ambiance feels. Trust me, Serendipity Spa excels in both areas. Just look at these pictures and judge for yourself.

Looks expensive, eh? Hold that thought! Despite its posh look, Serendipity Spa actually offers the same price as most spas in Cebu — which leads me to my next reason.

#3 Satisfying yet affordable

Contrary to most guests’ first impression, Serendipity Spa has one of the most affordable rates in the city. For only 250 pesos, you will already get a satisfying 1 hour Swedish or Shiatsu massage with the scented oil of your choice.

I personally tried their Hot Stone Massage and it was the BEST and most satisfying massage I’ve experienced so far. The massage eliminated almost every stress that piled up from juggling my professional work and Sugbu.

With hundreds of restaurants and food stalls/kiosks in the city, it’s really difficult to decide which restaurant has the best chicken dishes especially if it boils down to preference on how it’s cooked. Nevertheless, I want to share with you some of the restaurants or kiosks that serve the one of the best chicken dishes. Aside from the well-known favorite Jollibee Chickenjoy or KFC’s, McDo’s, Mang Inasal’s or whichever is best for you, but here are some other best chicken should try:

KMN! Their food is just glorious! I cannot say a thing and would want to pack my bag and head on to their restaurant again. Because seriously, dining there is purely heaven. I wouldn’t really want to say much about their food because I would want YOU to try for yourself and you have my word for it.

As you can see, there really is no point of booking a room in those 5-star hotels because Cuarto Hotels has more than that. And lucky are we because the team had an overnight stay in the hotel. Although we all wished we could have extended our stay since the rooms were very relaxing and the staff were accommodating PLUS the food were overwhelming but, we all had to head home since we all have to work on Monday. Cuarto Hotels is surely a dime of a hotel that needs to be heard more not only by the Cebuanos but, by everyone as a whole. I seriously wasn’t expecting that a hotel as comfortable as a home is situating in the busy streets of Fuente – truly Cebu has a lot to offer!
