While the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is on the works, SM Prime and Jam Liner launched a consortium of public transportation via the Cebu myBus not just to somehow alleviate the worsening traffic in Cebu but also to accommodate the public to pass through Mactan International Airport and South Road Properties (SRP) where the new SM Seaside City Cebu is located.

The Cebu myBus is PWD-friendly, GPS and CCTV-enabled making it a safe, secure and friendly transport service around Cebu. It can can accommodate 42 to 90 passengers, including standing passengers.

MyBus / ePLUS Card

On-board tapping (Automated Fare Collection) has been implemented on most buses. For the convenience of all, myBus encorages the use of 1 myBus card per passenger. In the meantime, multiple tapping on a single card will still be allowed.

Some buses accept cash payment (no change policy), but it’s recommended to avail the myBus card especially for frequent commuters.

For PWDs, Senior Citizens and Students, register your cards to avail discounts at SM Seaside Office or SM Cinemas at both SM City Cebu and SM Seaside City.

MyBus/ePlus cards are sold at ₱200 which already comes with an initial load of P100
Reloading is by ₱100’s only but with no load limit.
Load will not expire.
Inactive cards (for more than 2 years) is subject to a dormancy fee (TBA).
The card can also be used in SM cinemas, parking and other merchant services.

Though there were many people who were satisfied about the feature (and some against it), there’s no debate Cebu has a diverse yet tasty street food. The Cebu Doctors’ University (CDU) Hospital launched the first multi-person hyperbaric chamber in Cebu last May 24, 2019. This advanced chamber is used for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) which improves blood circulation and oxygen in the body.

One of the worst sides we are experiencing everyday in a booming city like Cebu is the worsening traffic and stressful environment. We all just want to take a break from the city’s hustles and bustles and the struggles we face each day.

One quick escape you can go to in Cebu City, that is only 20-30 minutes away from the city proper, is this new garden located in the uphill side of Cebu. Dr. Emilio Osmeña Botanical Garden has finally opened its doors to the public. It is the perfect place for your Instagram photos, or you can simply enjoy and appreciate the beauty of the flower blooms and the cool breeze.

How to get there?

Exact location: Tops Rd., Busay, Cebu City — steep road of Busay, in between Balay sa Busay restaurant and La Vie in the Sky / Tops Lookout.

BY CAR: (Best option) Just navigate with Waze or Google Maps and search for ‘Balay sa Busay’ in Cebu Transcentral Highway. The garden is located few meters after ‘Balay sa Busay’ restaurant and before Tops Lookout. Parking space is available.

BY COMMUTE: Hire a habal-habal driver (Motorcycle for hire) near JY Square Mall in Lahug, and inform him to drop you off at the said garden. Estimated fare is ₱75-100 per person (max of 2).

BY TAXI: Hiring a taxi cab is possible but that can be hefty. Most of them won’t give you a metered reading system – hence, they’ll be offering you an estimated fare in going there.

BY CAR / VAN FOR RENT: For van or car rentals, or to book an uphill tour (9 destinations in 1 day for only ₱999 per person), book with our trusted travel partner SquadPH Tours and Travels.
