The announcement of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in the whole Cebu province and some independent cities in Cebu has sent the people to the doors of every grocery.
Though this is a misconception since the grocery stores will still be
open in an ECQ, going out is still a risk.
Well, worry not Cebuanos because 15 mobile markets are coming to you. They will go around Cebu City during the enhanced community quarantine period and serve the Sugboanons.
They have not yet announced the specific areas where these mobile markets will be placed. Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella have suggested though that these mobile markets be placed in mountain areas to limit the movements of the residents living there.
The mobile markets will be selling:
fruits
vegetables
meat
others
Labella said that there are plans for more suppliers to have a mobile
market too.
With the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (CoVID-19), the first to be greatly affected is the airline industry.
The containment of the CoVID-19 spread highly depends on the isolation and mobility reduction of the people. Thus everything has taken a halt. All travel plans were cancelled and every eye was in the airline companies for the advanced booked flights that are now impossible to take.
Well, breath a sigh of relief for the flag bearer Philippine Airlines (PAL) has made it easier for you to get in touch with them online.

As it seems, not just travel, but good coffee can wait too.
With all the Enhanced Community Quarantine being imposed everywhere in the country, Starbucks Philippines has recently announced the temporary closure of all their stores in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
While it is disheartening to not be able to have a taste of our favorite coffee, the safety of everyone is much more important. Caring for our community is the top priority.
Starbucks has also provided frontliners with food and beverages. These frontliners include the medical personnel, law enforcement personnel, NGO volunteers, and other organizations.
Stay safe everyone. #TatagPinoy

“The Filipino
spirit is stronger together and we will get through this together.”
Reading about new private institutions pledging whatever they can to battle with the nation is overwhelming, and then we receive news about doing whatever they can to support the government. There are also brands whom we have been loving, are being one with the whole nation. These news lift a bit of our worries away.
Uniqlo, an international brand of clothing, will also be pledging their own for our frontliners. They will be donating P10 million to the SM Foundation to be used for food assistance and personal protective equipment (PPEs) for our modern day heroes.
With more and more people and companies helping our nation with her combat against COVID-19, may all the pledges be allocated to the rightful people and may more corporations and individuals help us rise from this pandemic.

To someone who has
always been on the spotlight, she has finally taken a step back and decided to
work behind the scenes.
Celebrating her
24th birthday today, March 26, Kathryn Bernardo, a famous celebrity, has just
been exposed to the public to have been ‘low-key’ helping some of our nation’s
frontliners.
In a birthday greeting by Juan Miguel Severo, he mentioned how Kathryn has been secretly helping our frontliners: “Ito nakakachat ko naman halos araw-araw, walang sinasabi tapos malalaman ko na lang sa iba na kung ano-ano na palang tulong ang pinapaabot?”
The greeting was
accompanied by screenshots of the food donations given by Kathryn.
Ito nakaka-chat ko naman halos araw-araw, walang sinasabi tapos malalaman ko na lang sa iba na kung ano-ano na palang tulong ang pinapaabot?
Happy birthday, Young Rochelle in 3 seasons of Daisy Siete. 😝 Who would've thunk!?!
Contrary to her
being in the limelight, this act of kindness shown by Kath only goes to show
how genuine her heart is.
Kathryn has been
sending food donations to the healthcare workers of:
San Lazaro Hospital
Rosario Maclan Bautista Hospital
Barangay Claro in Quezon City
Barangay Manga in Quezon City
Though we respect
that some people would prefer to keep their identities private while helping,
we couldn’t help but honor them for taking good care of our kababayans. We owe
them the help they’ve provided for our frontliners. Let’s continue praying for
one another.
Happy Birthday, Queen Kath!

This is probably
what the big businesses in the country have been thinking. We are grateful for
the incoming blessings for our frontliners and kababayans in help.
Another institution who has helped in our rally against COVID-19 is Bloombery Cultural Foundation Inc. (BCFI). BCFI is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Solaire Resort & Casino and they will be donating P60 million worth of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and N95 masks to the Department of Health late next week.
BCFI has also applied with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the permits needed to secure the 3 testing kits from South Korea and China that they will be donating.
Let us help BCFI by praying for these permits to be released because as per Solaire:
“As soon as the clearances and permits are issued, BCFI shall procure 100,000 test kits to augment the much needed supply of the government for testing COVID-19.”
We would also like to encourage everyone to join with the government in this combat against COVID-19. Let us stay at home, sew masks if you can, produce makeshift PPE’s or face shields, and pray. These micro efforts of ours could make a macro effect to the whole nation.

Staying at home
shouldn’t be a choice, it should be a necessary demand for the public.
With the upsurge of
the positive cases of COVID-19 around the globe, the only way to straighten the
curb is to stay at home. The government has been strengthening their campaigns
to encourage the public to stay in their respective homes and some private
companies have also done the same.
One good example is the world’s tallest skyscraper, Burj Khalifa. The skyscraper encouraged the residents of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by litting up the skscyraper with the message “STAY HOME” flashed in different languages.
On March 23, not
only the residents of UAE were inspired to stay in their humble abodes, but
also the people who have seen the photos circulating online. Hence, if you just
learned of this now, it’s high time that you take staying at home on a serious
note.
Prince of Dubai, Hh Sheikh bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, has issued a message for the people in the UAE, saying:
“The only way to guarantee that we safeguard the well-being of our loved ones is to act now, together and without exceptions. Stay Home. Social Distancing is NOT a matter of choice. it is a critical DEMAND from every one of us, in order for our city and our society to remain safe.”
We’re hoping that as Cebuanos, we will also be inspired to take a cue on this step to always STAY AT HOME unless we have important business to attend to. Let us help our frontliners combat this pandemic. Let’s make their jobs a little bit easier. We can do this. We know we can.

The novel coronavirus (CoVID-19) knows no position, no blood, no race, no age, no gender, and no boundary. Even royalties cannot escape from this global pandemic.
Prince Charles of Wales, 71, the heir to the British throne, has been announced to testing positive for CoVID-19 virus.
He is now displaying mild symptoms “but otherwise remains in good health”, a spokesman said.
On the other hand, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, has been tested negative. Charles and Camilla are now self-isolating at home in Scotland.
Prince Charles’ mother, Queen Elizabeth II
who he saw last March 12, is seen to be in good health according to the
Buckingham palace.
The palace also added that the Queen was
now “following all the appropriate advice with regard to her
welfare”.
People from all walks of life all over the world are being infected by the virus. We all need to cooperate and keep everyone safe. We are all in this fight against the unseen enemy. Stay at home and be vigilant. Show kindness and generosity, the world needs it.

To someone who
loves sneakers and milktea, this is definitely a must-have.
Brace yourselves
for Vans’ new collection – Vans Old Skool sneakers in milk tea-inspired
colours. If you’re into nude shades, this has got to be on your list. Take your
pick from “Gentle Cream”, “Hazelnut” and “Smoked Milk
Tea”.
The colors look
chic and the names sound cute. How awesome would it be telling the
saleslady/man, “Uhm. Miss, do you have a size of these ‘Gentle Cream’
vans?”
To the minimalists,
this is something one would love. Plus, these colors are just wearable as the
colors black and white. Did you also know that wearing nude-footwear would make
you taller? If not, then, you really got to score this.
Vans is revealing the simple color palette with a crisp and clean whit sole and a sleek black wrap around. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on these babies, but they can wait. I’m doing a home-quarantine and the best thing I could do is pray and spread more good news like this.
“You give a
man a fish, you feed him for a day. You teach a man how to fish, you feed him
for his life.”
True enough, with
Luzon being placed on an Enhanced Community Quarantine, the Baguio Veterinary
Office – Agricultural Services Division (BCVO-ASD) has chosen the latter. They
have repacked different kinds for the different barangays in Baguio so they
could grow their own “survival gardens.”
With the rising positive cases of CoVID-19, going to the wet market for fresh produce could give you quite a scare. But, to have a strong immune system, one needs to be eating vegetables. How to do it? Grow your own lush gardens from these seeds.
The residents of Baguio are quite lucky to have been given the assurance of food security in this time of uncertainty. May everyone do the same. Let’s eat healthy and be healthy.
