So, the criteria for this list of 20 countries were 1) good physical location, 2) natural resources and 3) political harmony(relatively).
All these places are isolated islands with the resources like food and energy production and technology for people to take refuge from whatever is out there in the world like diseases which are very appropriate today or let’s not forget zombies.

The trick for all these countries to be safe havens is if it cuts off from the world and rebuilds civilization.
It is not surprising really to have our country as a safe haven as we are very rich in natural resources compared to other countries and add with it our geography and isolating won’t really be a problem.
With Cebu having been recording at least 800 COVID cases daily since January 15, a lot of Cebuanos are literally sick now. But not everyone knows what to do and what medicines to buy.
The good news though, Cebu residents can now seek medical advice from physicians without going to the hospitals with the launching of the Cebu COVID-19 TeleGaBAI by Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC).
This service is in partnership with the Philippine College of Physicians, the Cebu Medical Society, and other local medical societies.

The public can consult physicians by calling the TeleGABAI hotline numbers or sending a message through the official Facebook page.
Doctors from different provincial and district hospitals and even patients can ask for medical assistance from their medical experts via the Cebu TeleGaBAI.
The VSMMC initiated the 24/7 Cebu Covid-19 TeleGaBAI program to help decongest the Cebu emergency rooms and hospitals from asymptomatic and mild patients.
The program provides a venue for licensed doctors to guide and advise patients and their families to manage their infections at home.
Please quarantine immediately if you have known exposure to a COVID-positive or suspect patient. Isolate yourself if you have symptoms.

Looking like a tiny pitcher, this is best for those who are living in small spaces since it won’t consume much space on your countertop. This works like a French press wherein you would be needing to mix hot water and your choice of ground coffee in a container.
However, instead of the sediments at the bottom, the brewer will be separating the finished coffee from the grounds. It will let the liquid drip into the lower chamber. The only work you’ll do thereafter is press the button up top.

How to use the coffee press:
1. Assemble the Press Brewer by placing the smaller container into the main cup.
2. Scoop your coffee grounds or tea leaves into the upper chamber and pour hot water over the top.
3. Mix the water and grounds together and leave them steep for a few seconds.
4. Hit the button up top and your finished brew should be released right into the bottom chamber.
5. Remove the small container and pour your coffee from the pitcher-like device into any glass or mug.
Lorlaine Camungol, the owner of Sundae Bites, shared to the public how her humble business has grown into something that would allow her to earn P800,000 a week.

Sundae Bites is a chocolate cone tips business, which is a unique dessert and snack idea. These are bite-sized waffle cone tips with chocolate ganache filling perfect for those who have sweet teeth.
Her business started when her daughter was craving for sweets and she couldn’t easily order the sundae cone they wanted.
She shared on GMA’s Pera Paraan that they saw an imported sundae cone which was so hard to order. Hence, they made their own.
Lorlaine took the tips of her waffle cones and filled them with chocolate. She posted it on social media and was amazed as to how many of her friends were interested. Hence, she took that as an opportunity to earn.

On Tuesday evening, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of January 18, 2022.
The whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and Cebu Province — recorded 1,179 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 42 new recoveries, and 0 new deaths. Cebu’s total active cases jumped to 7,053 (from 5,833).
Cebu City – Total confirmed: 44,931 (+564 new) – Total recoveries: 39,695 (+9 new) – Total deaths: 1,527 (+0 new) – Active cases: 3,709
Lapu-Lapu City – Total confirmed: 14,458 (+166 new) – Total recoveries: 13,206 (+0 new) – Total deaths: 472 (+0 new) – Active cases: 780
Mandaue City – Total confirmed: 12,934 (+150 new) – Total recoveries: 11,768 (+22 new) – Total deaths: 443 (+0 new) – Active cases: 723
Cebu Province – Total confirmed: 38,963 (+299 new) – Total recoveries: 34,547 (+11 new) – Total deaths: 2,575 (+0 new) – Active cases: 1,841

NOTES from DOH-7:
*As per DOH-7, the additional deaths in the report are not due to the overnight spike in deaths but due to more accurate data collection and validating efforts. Not all of those deaths occurred today but occurred more than a week ago.
Reports maybe subject to change as these claims undergo thorough validation by the local healthcare offices and health personnel.
Sugbo Mercado, the most popular food market in Cebu City, is finally re-opening again starting on January 19, 2022, and a lot just feel giddy about it!
The food market is one of the many establishments in Cebu that have been badly wrecked by Super Typhoon Odette last December 16, 2021. In fact, its photos surfaced all over social media and national news; that’s how bad it got hit.
