Bigger & Better: Tales & Feelings to open Second Branch at the Amber Hotel in 2023

Tales & Feelings has been blessing the Cebuano palate since 2021. The restaurant has been providing fantastic food and service to loyal patrons for almost two years. And to further let Cebuanos experience an elevated dining experience, Tales & Feelings announces its plans to open a second branch this 2023.

A Bigger and Better Place for More Culinary Adventures

The new flagship restaurant can accommodate up to 100 diners. But that’s not all; the new space will be complete with two private rooms, a fully stocked bar, and an extensive wine cellar. In addition, they also have a chef’s counter that’s exclusive for tasting menus.

Tales & Feelings’ executive chef, Chef Elso Almodiel III, and the restaurant’s core team will run the new branch.

According to the owners of Tales & Feelings, Julian and Kim Prosevicius, they wanted to elevate the diners’ dining experience. The new location’s menu will also focus on the art of fine dining as they introduce and even extensive culinary adventures to patrons.

Moreover, they also headed to their guests’ requests for a bigger space to accommodate them and a proper parking space.

“We are always eager to learn and strive for new things every day. Working in a small space, there is a ceiling to our capabilities, and we are unable to show our full potential. Guests have been asking for a bigger space to accommodate their requests, proper parking, and facilities that complement the quality of our food and service”, Kim Prosevicius, on why they will open a new branch.”

Julian Prisevicius then added that opening their flagship restaurant is a dream come true for them.

“It’s a testament to the passion and dedication we pour into every dish we create. We are honored to bring Tales & Feelings to a wider audience and continue our commitment to culinary excellence.”

The flagship restaurant is set to open this 2023 at the much anticipated Amber Hotel located at the intersection of Capitol, Don Gil Garcia St, and Don Julio Llorente St. in Cebu City.

Apple Finally Introduces the New Vision Pro Headset, priced at $3,499

If you’ve watched futuristic movies, you might remember the scenes where floating screens hover on empty space, which you can control by “tapping” on the air. What if we tell you that movie scenes are slowly catching up to reality? And now, we have Apple to thank for that.

Photo from Apple

Apple finally introduced its newest biggest product, the Apple Vision Pro Headset. According to Apple’s official website, the headset “seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space.”

What does this mean? It means when you wear the headset, it projects digital content right in front of you. And guess what? You can navigate it using your eyes, hands, and voice.

A Closer Look at the New Apple Vision Pro

On the first look, the Apple Vision Pro looks like a VR headset, but there is more to it than what meets the eye. Unlike VR, Vision Pro uses augmented reality, which means it projects the screen unto the real world.

First, let’s talk about the enclosure; the enclosure is a single-piece laminated glass that is three-dimensionally formed—the frame is made out of aluminum alloy that is curved to fit the user’s face.

Next up are the Cameras and sensors; there are cameras and sensors built into the Vision Pro. The cameras and sensors function simultaneously to let users see their surroundings and detect hand input.

When it comes to audio, the Vision Pro also takes pride in quality sound. The headset is equipped with audio straps with speakers positioned close to the users’ ears. The cool thing about the audio is that it “blends with real-world sounds.”

And then we have the headband itself. It is breathable and provides soft cushioning for a comfortable experience. It can also stretch to your liking. In addition, it has a fit dial that lets users fit the headset on their heads.

How’s the display quality? Well, the headset is equipped with two custom micro-OLED displays. This means that it is exceptionally clear.

Users don’t have to worry about light seeping through and messing with clarity since the Light Seal blocks stray light. Next up, the headset has a digital crown button that lets users activate Home View, which allows them to control the level of immersion.

Dalaguete opens its first BPO firm

Dalaguete celebrated a significant milestone last May 30 of this year 2023, with the inauguration of its first-ever three-story Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) center.

This development is in line with the growing trend of BPO  firms venturing into the countryside, capitalizing on the advantages of lower costs, access to talent, and improving digital infrastructure in rural areas.

The momentous occasion was graced by esteemed guests, including Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and Dalaguete Mayor Ronald Cesante.

The launch of the BPO center marks a turning point for Dalaguete, as it is expected to generate approximately 200 call center positions.

Governor Garcia expressed her optimism for the BPO center, highlighting the opportunity it presents for the local youth to join an industry that offers better pay and promising prospects.

Here are 4 Things to Expect While Living in Canada

Is Canada one of the places on your bucket list? Or maybe it’s the country you want to migrate to. You know, it’s best if you go prepared. If it’s your first time going to Canada, there are things you might want to remember before you go.

Well, lucky you. We’ve compiled a list of some things you must consider before going on a vacation or moving to Canada. So grab your pen and paper because here are five things to expect while living in Canada.

1. Winter Clothing is a Must

Photo from Unsplash

If you plan on migrating to Canada, you must stock up on some winter clothing. And when we say winter clothing, we don’t just mean sweaters but insanely thick winter coats, gloves, and even boots. This is because Canada’s average temperature during winter time can go below zero. Moreover, the country’s temperature can be as low as -30°C or -40°C.

2. Canada is a Cultural Hot Pot

Toronto, Canada | Photo from Unsplash

Canada is one of the few countries that warmly welcome immigrants from all over the world. There is not much discrimination in Canada, and people of all races and religions are respected. Moreover, 20% of Canadians were born in a different country.

Because Canada is a cultural hot pot, best believe you will encounter people who speak different languages and have different religions and cultures.

3. Learn Canada’s Two Official Languages

Photo from Unsplash

You might wonder why Canadians living in Quebec, New Brunswick, and Yukon speak French while others speak full English. This is because Canada has two official languages: English and French.

There are even laws made to ensure that everyone speaks French in specific areas. Like British and Australian English, Canadian English is unique and can take quite a time to master. The most famous Canadian phrase is “eh.” Moreover, Canadians often say “sorry” when given the opportunity.

4. Smoke only to a Minimum.

Photo from Unsplash

If you are a heavy smoker, Canada might not be the best option unless you agree to keep it to a minimum. In Canada, smoking is prohibited in public spaces such as stores, offices, hospitals, and restaurants, among others. Even apartment buildings and rental complexes prohibit smoking.

Where can you smoke, you may ask? You are only allowed to smoke in your own home or vehicle, basically in non-shared spaces.

Working and moving to another country may be exciting; however, you still need to consider some factors. Being in another country also means adapting to what the people of that country are used to. It will be hard but not impossible if it’s your first time.
