You just don’t enjoy swimming but you also get physically fit. You can do this in almost any beaches you visit in Cebu.

Will you dare to jump from the tip of canyon falls, cliff diving pools, or waterfalls? Are you brave enough to land off the water without 100% assurance of your safety? Well if you do, I have three words to say, “I salute you!”

Canyoneering is one of the most exciting and thrilling outdoor adventures you can do especially with your barkada when you travel. It’s a must try.

One of the coolest outdoor adventures you should try in Cebu. Feel the intense excitement when riding a wakeboard over the surface of the water. If you love skateboarding then you will love this more! This requires your balance and concentration, and if you’re not a pro, then still no need to worry when you swamp off because you’ll just end up in the water. Just wear your life jacket and use a spotter for sure security.

Cliff Diving

A superb experience you’ll surely enjoy especially when you jump together with your friends. You can do this anywhere with a measure of your chosen heights of the cliff.

Again, for safety purposes measure first the rage of the water’s feet before jumping and avoid making your head land off first to the water. If you really feel nervous and scared but still eager to jump off the cliff, just think you are brave and you want extraordinary adventure. Doing this with a tour guide or a resident with you is always recommended.

Do you still remember the first time you learned to ride a bike? Or your favorite place to bike around? And did you try to perform different tricks for the sake of making little twists of its use. Me? I did and I was awarded with many injuries and painful experiences but it was worth it because I still felt extraordinary.

Anyway, see the picture above? If you feel the strong spirit of being a rider, then this spot is a perfect place for you and your friends to enjoy extreme ride with the cool fresh air that hits into your senses. From its curve and zigzag landscape you will experience a unique scenery adventure.

Camping

Sleeping outside the house using only a tent is cool but it is more stimulating when you sleep over a mountain or a camping site with your family and friends (you can also bring your pet if you want to). Apart from your usual stuff you bring for overnights, you can also bring a telescope for a distant sight-seeing or an overview to the stars.

Just a tip, you can set your camping adventure at the ´The Genesis Valley Resort’ where you can experience Ala Athens concept in Cebu. You may set up your tent or the tent provided by the resort on the ground or at the top mountain of the resort. This place is perfect for team buildings, general assemblies or even just ordinary outings.

Swimming with the Whale Sharks

It’s ironic — whale shark watching is very popular among tourists and yet only very few locals have actually experienced it. A lot of environmentalists may be against it, every Cebuano should take advantage while it exists. It’s a unique kind of experience in our province. Swimming with the whale sharks and taking selfies with them might be a challenge, but surely it is fun.

How much would it cost? PHP 300-500 for local tourists; PHP 1,000 for foreigners
Where in Cebu? Oslob, Cebu

Sky Biking

sky-biking-cebu

If there are sky diving and sky walking, there’s also sky biking. And it offers a different kind of thrill that you must also experience. The great thing about this activity is, you can take your time biking while enjoying the panoramic view of the place’s nature.

How much would it cost? PHP 100 per ride
Where in Cebu? Brgy. Caputatan Norte, Medellin / Danasan Eco Adventure Park in Danao City

These are just some of the many outdoor activities you can do in Cebu, proving there’s no need to travel further. No need to buy expensive plane tickets just to try them all one-by-one in different places, because Cebu truly has a lot to offer. I honestly admit that I haven’t tried these all, but every item in this list is definitely in my bucketlist. And I can’t wait to experience them all!

Do you have something to add in the list? Or a great experience in any of these adventures that you would like to share? Feel free to comment below.

Being born with a wanderlust soul, the question we always have in our minds is “where to go?” When all the known places — beaches, resorts, adventure parks, etc. — have been visited and almost all of them were discovered, where should we go next? The searching never ends, though we can give you a place where you can relax away from the loud crowd and at the same time enjoy the sea breeze of Mactan. Introducing, the CUARTO VACATION HOUSE MACTAN.

cuarto-mactan-6

Located in Punta Engaño, Lapu Lapu (a few blocks away from Movenpick), Cuarto Mactan is a 20km travel from the city proper to the vacation spot, approximately an hour and a half. It is a privately owned vacation house giving you the luxury to enjoy the place without unnecessary nuisances. From the moment we entered the premise and roamed around the house with its modernized rusticity theme, we were awestruck. Well, we will just let the pictures do the talking shall we?

Aside from that, right beside the vacation house is a beach resort which offers adventures like island hopping, jet skiing, parasailing and more. By the way, have we mentioned the pool? Yes, there is a pool just for you.

Sugbustagram: Everything Feminine

1
sugbustagram-feminism

Allow me to start this blog post with a disclaimer: “I am a woman but, would rarely be seen in a too much feminine ensemble.” And after saying that, I would like to think that you would most probably be skewed in whatever way possible. Yes, I am a woman by flesh, blood, and by heart but I’ve just grown too tired of wearing floral dresses and the like. But just like the other women out there, I know what’s a good “feminine” ensemble and what’s not.

And this post is going to be most likely that! I have 9 women in 7 photos who aced their feminine ensemble. When I say feminine, that means being able to show that they are a woman despite the dress that they are wearing.

So, if you’re like me, a woman who is interested in fashion, I implore for you to trust my sense of judgement on this and please feel free to check and see the list.

14527600_1288011964564985_1581919057_n

[box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]1 First on the list is our very own photographer, Pryscilla Gabiana. Why will she not make it anyways? She looks every bit of a woman in that floral skirt, nude platforms and that flowy white longsleeves. Wait! Why will I not mention her sling? Her camera of course! Keep slaying, Gab![/box]

14483819_1288011464565035_720146083_n

[box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]2 She is not awarded as the best-dressed in the Forever21 event for nothing. Ching Sadaya is a fashion blogger and why will I contest that? I love how her look is so feminine underneath that coat. Plus her brogues matching with her choker and her blouse. I’ll stop after I give praises to her bag too. *winks*[/box]

14501902_1288012867898228_1736348068_n

[box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]3 To those who follow VV (Vern and Vernice Enciso), you prolly know this pose and this twinning ensemble. They’re both in pastel / nude colored ensemle but in different styles. Mac Ladeza is wearing her custom-made skirt while Nina Villarin is wearing a nude jumpsuit. Wait! Am I the only one who noticed that their sling bags’ also twinning? I bet not.[/box]

14470889_1288012994564882_333178728_n

[box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]4 Britt Asunto is not your mainstream type of feminine. Though she’s rocking this look, the way she posed for the camera sure does look more feminine. I love how she managed to match her black shirt with everything. She looked every bit of a rocker chic in this ensemble. Slay the runway, Britt![/box]

14509336_1288012054564976_1326964338_n

[box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]5 This look is probably one of the go-to looks of the girls in the metro. The off-shoulder top and her fitted pants with her block heels made everything look so effortlessly beautiful. And wait! Don’t forget to mention her bag and her makeup that’s on-fleek! Cheers, Kaycee Longos! *winks*[/box]

14509445_1288011114565070_213372613_n

[box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]6 I’ve mentioned twinning previously and they are definitely NOT an exception. The way they twin in their denim ensemble is just so on-point! I’ve heard that they’re cousins so fashion definitely runs in their blood. Aileda Lee Caress Cabusas and Chara Maive Amor Gabiana brought twinning to the next level![/box]

14483467_1288011117898403_756893118_n

[box type=”shadow” align=”” class=”” width=””]7 And last but is definitely not the least, Toni Pino-Oca of The Perfumed Red Shoes in her own version of feminine ensemble. I love how she paired her white longsleeves, flare pants with her own hablon scarf. She looks stunning in this photo and please don’t forget her dazzling smile. Keep acing all your OOTD’s, Toni! [/box]

I know that being a woman, we need a little bit of fashion inspiration from time to time and I’d like to think that after you went through the list, you’re surprised by what you found. That there’s a whole lot more to those skimpy skirts and long dresses and that there’s more to those chokers on your necks.

I hope you had fun and you’ve scored your own fashion inspirations by reading this article. I can’t wait to unveil another set of Sugbustagram’s Weekly Dose of OOTD.

I will be posting the theme for next week’s theme in our FB Page, Twitter, and Instagram accounts so make sure to follow us so you can either submit your own OOTD’s or submit your friends’. Until then, Sugbuholics!

3 Reasons Why We Love Serendipity Spa

0
serendipity-spa-mandaue-cebu

Sugbu has always been known as a source of adventure and getaway ideas. (At least that’s what we are also trying to achieve.) But just like other adventure seekers and travel enthusiasts, we also long for a satisfying massage after a long trip or a crazy adventure especially during the weekends. Or even after our stressful days at school or work. But the question that always pop out in our minds is, where can we find a good one? Thank goodness we came across Serendipity Spa in Mandaue City, and I’m going to tell you why we loved our spa experience.

serendipity spa mandaue

#1 Health always comes first

I usually visit spas twice or thrice a month since I started working 2 years ago. And this is actually the first time I have encountered a spa that genuinely cares about my health. Before the massage started, they first checked my blood pressure and whether or not I took medications for the past 24 hours. From there, the staff made recommendations as to what type of massage treatment fit me. But if you opt to choose your own treatment, the masseur will just make necessary adjustments as to pressure and whatnot based on your results.

20160831_232941

What if your blood pressure is high? They will ask you to relax and rest first in their posh guest area until you are okay. That’s what I call true customer service!

#2 Posh interiors, relaxing ambiance

We can’t deny it. One way we can judge a good spa is by looking how neat the place is, especially the guest area, and how relaxing the ambiance feels. Trust me, Serendipity Spa excels in both areas. Just look at these pictures and judge for yourself.

20160831_232910

20160831_233443

20160831_231046

Looks expensive, eh? Hold that thought! Despite its posh look, Serendipity Spa actually offers the same price as most spas in Cebu — which leads me to my next reason.

#3 Satisfying yet affordable

Contrary to most guests’ first impression, Serendipity Spa has one of the most affordable rates in the city. For only 250 pesos, you will already get a satisfying 1 hour Swedish or Shiatsu massage with the scented oil of your choice.

Here’s the full list of services and rates:

serendipity-spa-rates

I personally tried their Hot Stone Massage and it was the BEST and most satisfying massage I’ve experienced so far. The massage eliminated almost every stress that piled up from juggling my professional work and Sugbu.

If these three reasons don’t convince you to try Serendipity Spa, I don’t know what else can. But you have my word, Serendipity Spa is a MUST TRY!

Okay, ‘obsessions’ might be too exaggerated but c’mon, who doesn’t love chicken? I mean, I can’t live without it. I already drool by just the smell of it.

With hundreds of restaurants and food stalls/kiosks in the city, it’s really difficult to decide which restaurant has the best chicken dishes especially if it boils down to preference on how it’s cooked. Nevertheless, I want to share with you some of the restaurants or kiosks that serve the one of the best chicken dishes.
