Chasing waterfalls is indeed one of the best hobbies any brave adventurer should experience.
Luckily, Cebu has no shortage when it comes to breathtaking waterfalls, particularly in the southern part. Samboan, a humble town in southern Cebu, boasts a variety of dazzling waterfalls and indeed, Dao Falls is one of the best.
Nat Luperte
Dao Falls’s unique magnificence makes it a
perfect weekend destination. Visually stunning, not only your visual senses
would surely be satisfied but as well as that much needed cold dip in fresh
waters.
The trek towards the falls may be tricky
and slippery but surely, it would be a rewarding one. Be noted that it would
take at least 30 minutes to reach the cascade starting from the trailhead going
to Barangay Suba.
Not only is Dao Falls considered the most beautiful in Samboan, but is also the tallest waterfall in the town, boasting an approximate height of 120 meters.

In this modern age
we often overwork ourselves to the point where we turn our backs to the pillars
of our body: our own health care. And quite recently, a lot of sicknesses and
illnesses have come to wreck our own bodies. To avoid getting sick, we must never
forget that our own health comes first, and to have a proper health care, a
good hospital should cater to your needs.
1. Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital
Cebu Doctors’
University Hospital is both a medical tertiary education institution and a
healthcare provider all in one. It gives future doctors and medical
practitioners to have a more in-depth study and research by being on the actual
field and having actual professional doctors as mentors and professors. Like
Chong Hua Hospital, it has top-quality facilities and a humbling past, and it
is continuing its vision and mission of providing quality health care.

their health-related issues. The hospital could house quite a lot with their
660 beds. It is also very accessible as it is located in the heart of Cebu, the
Fuente Osmeña Circle, although there is also one in Mandaue.
1: Don Mariano Cui Street, Fuente Osmeña Circle, Cebu City

doctor as well. As the church being their foundation, they pursue their aim to
help people in their problems in health and wellness. The establishment is rich
in history, dating back to World War II, and has helped people since.

that they also have an educational institution: The Velez College. The hospital

Recently, even in the -Ber months, it no longer gives a “bbrrrr” but more of a “haaaaaa” because of the intense heat. In the city, the scorching sun can be your enemy, making you weak, dehydrated, and slow. Always give yourself time to cool off, and a good place to start would be at the Middle Earth Cold Springs.
Back then, you could embrace the cold waters in Mangitngit Falls and swim in it. However, the falls had once been closed due to an accident involving death, but now it has been opened to the public once again albeit in a different way.
The falls itself has already opened, but you cannot swim in it or go too near to it. To feel the fresh and cold waters, you can go instead in Middle Earth Cold Springs.
Along with the falls is a cold spring in an establishment called the Middle Earth Mountain Resort. The name of this resort most likely stems from the fictitious land of Middle Earth, the prominent setting of the Lord of the Rings lore and the resort’s name fits it well because Middle Earth is known to be a beautiful and exotic sight to visit.
The waters of the cold spring sip right from the falls itself and the place gives a charming and relaxing vibe as you swim along. Because of this establishment, many people can swim along just fine safely. The falls is located in Carmen so expect to see stars and other heavenly objects litter the night sky.

Seventy-five years after the end of World War II, the remaining half of the WWII US Army M5A1 Stuart tank was finally dug out from the Dagusungan river in Medellin, Cebu.
Stuarts are light tanks used by the U.S. and Allied Forces which proved to be an effective armored vehicle for fighting in jungle environments. According to records, the U.S. Army initially deployed 108 Stuart light tanks to the Philippines in September 1941.
On March 7, 2020, the working force of Cebuanos from Engineer Support Battalion, 53rd Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army which were led by Capt. Czar Guitering and Ssg Peter Louie Salvatierra have literally dug out the heavy metal through the wee hours of the morning into midnight.
The 7-day operation was successfully done when the tide was at its lowest with the army’s 50-ton excavator backhoe and with the tireless work of 10 men.
Spearheading this operation is Battalion Commander LTC Ricardo Aycardo as a follow-up operation of the first extraction attempt last December 2018.
The excavated tank will be placed near Dagusunan River and might soon be another attraction in Medellin. Historians and history enthusiasts may be able to take a closer look at the tank and unearth its secrets.

great news for you!
The full worm moon, the first supermoon of 2020, has got to be one of the largest and brightest occurring this year. The super moon is expected to be at its best form at 1:48 AM on Tuesday, March 10. It starts at 5:30PM of March 9, 2020.
According to the study, a
supermoon occurs when the full moon is closest to the Earth in its elliptical
orbit, making it appear brighter and larger than the normal.
Much more than this weekend’s
super snow moon, expect more of these on April and May.
