Their accommodation and cottages are built with materials made of coconut lumber, bamboos, etc. that you will find locally. They were designed to be cooler during the hot days and a bit warmer in cold nights. The cabin, which can accommodate up to 30-40 pax, is attached to the main building on the second floor, where the fresh air and the sound of birds can be enjoyed.

Escape from the city: A&E Beach Resort in Daanbantayan

Daanbantayan in Northern Cebu is an ideal place for vacation. It is laid back and relaxed, offers so many activities which can really give one a total retreat from a super busy city life. It’s also where the famous Carnaza Island is part of.

We have featured a couple of resorts in Daanbantayan the past weeks, and we are excited to discover what this beautiful town still has to offer. There’s this one resort that’s worth checking out for — the A&E Beach Resort, a relatively small resort in Daanbantayan but surely gives you a refreshing, peaceful and calm vacation experience.

Sea Turtle Lagoon Resort: A tropical charm in Tabogon

2
seaturtlecove-sugboph

Still looking for the perfect place for your next summer getaway? Check out the Sea Turtle Lagoon Resort in Tabogon, Northern Cebu.

Tabogon is the town situated in between Borbon and Bogo City. It’s a long travel but once you get to the place, it will all be worth it. It’s one of the most remote and relatively less developed in Cebu yet blessed with natural sceneries — like a “paradise on earth” where the sea and heaven meet.

From the interesting rock formations to the vast ocean where sea turtles appear, to the flowers and trees that surround the resort, the Sea Turtle Lagoon Resort is indeed a refreshing getaway place.

Though there’s no swimming pool in the resort, the vitamin sea is all you need. You can also arrange a bangka tour going to Bogo City’s Capitancillo Islet.

TRENDING: The Hobbit House Resort in Balamban, Cebu

3

This is what I love about the Queen City of the South. It never fails to surprise us.

We have already seen Cebu’s first Santorini-inspired resort, a Medieval or Game of Thrones-inspired bistro, the “Little Bali Indonesia”, among others — now, I’m not really surprised anymore but the high level of excitement is still there as the FIRST-EVER Hobbit House Resort has finally erected in Cebu.

The Hobbit House Resort, situated on top of the mountainous Balamban, is one of the most interesting resorts I’ve heard of, with the most exciting available facilities and amenities.

The house and cabins may look really small that only toddlers could get into and may require the adults to actually crawl on your way in/out, but the interiors are mind-blowing enormous. In fact, it can cater three families of 6 members in one house while the cabins can cater a group of 4.

But what is a resort without a pool? Of course, it also features a Hobbit-inspired swimming pool that is – wait for it – 3-feet deep. Half baths are sometimes nice, right? At least the kids will enjoy the pool for sure.

No doubt, the Hobbit House Resort will top everyone’s list this year. What are you waiting for? Scroll down a little more for the details.

The Beautiful Sunflower Garden in Dalaguete

4
2 sunflower farm dalaguete cebu

Apart from the beautiful beaches, cultural heritage, vibrant feasts and food scene, Cebu has also grown its attractions for flower gardens. After the viral hit Sirao Flower Farm almost five years ago and Buwakan ni Alejandra just a year ago, a slew of flower farms or gardens sprouted (or at least opened to the public) gradually in the Queen City of the South.

Dalaguete is famous for its beginner-friendly, scenic mountain peaks from the likes of Osmena Peak, Kandungaw Peak and Casino Peak. It also boasts a public white beach and a strawberry farm. No doubt this municipality is tagged as the “Summer Capital of Cebu”. But guess what? There’s a new attraction in Dalaguete you will surely love – the Sunflower Garden or the “I Love Dalaguete Flower Farm” in Mantalongon, Dalaguete.

Aside from sunflowers, this garden also features a variety of flower species.

SUGBO REMINDER: We strongly encourage all Sugbo.ph followers or readers to be responsible laagans. Make sure you follow and respect the garden’s rules. Protect and help protect the flowers by also reminding fellow tourists, especially when you see someone already stepping on the flowers. Be responsible of your own trash, and leave no trace behind.
