Luxury mountain estate Foressa Mountain Town opens new phase with large lot cuts perfect for smart investment

Featuring limited inventories of large lot cuts with an average size of 830 sqm, a new phase of luxury mountain estate opens at AboitizLand’s Foressa Mountain Town that is perfect for a select slice of real estate investors or those in the market for second homes nested in nature while experiencing premium urban amenities.

AboitizLand President and CEO David Rafael said during the launching event held on March 5, “Light Phase B lets you experience true estate living with expansive residential lot areas of up to 2040 square meters, with front row access to majestic views of the mountains while enjoying optimum relaxation, privacy, and security.”

With a grand, dynamic development of four (4) phases, Foressa Mountain Town in Cansomoroy, Balamban, offers residential and leisure spaces, with 49% of the development allocated to open spaces, just an hour away from Cebu City for nature lovers and adventure seekers who need a quick escape from urban life.

Vast greenery and large outdoor spaces

After two years of pandemic lock downs, more and more individuals have recognized the benefits of time out in nature and outdoor activities to escape from the stress and hustle and bustle of the big city. Vecinos, as what AboitizLand fondly calls its homeowners and investors, can unwind and take their breather anytime they want with Foressa Mountain Town’s luscious trees, rolling terrains, protected riverside areas, and cool climate, a major luxury especially for city-dwellers who crave for nature as a sanctuary. The estate’s natural amenities, open spaces, hike trails, and bike trails promote an active and healthy lifestyle while still providing the same comfort and convenience that of the city.

Avenue, Hillside, Parkside, and Riverside Lots

A selection of residential lots offers custom, personal touches to vecinos’ living space and includes large open areas where residents can conveniently pursue outdoor hobbies and activities. Avenue Lots are nestled between tree-lined roads and are ideal for those early morning strolls. To the northeast, Hillside Lots offer stunning views of the West Cebu Estate and Tañon Strait. The Parkside Premium Lots can be extended for personal gardens with direct access to a pedestrian-friendly, one-hectare linear park. In the southwest, the Riverside Ridge Lots look out to the mountains and is within close proximity to the river and the Foressa Lodge, the property’s main pavilion.

A fast-growing property investment

Foressa Mountain Town is part of the booming 540-hectare West Cebu Estate (WCE), an Aboitiz-owned integrated economic center that hosts 11 locators, from medium to heavy industries, including some of the largest shipbuilding firms in the world. With WCE’s growing number of commercial components, vecinos can expect more establishments to support their everyday needs and see their property’s value grow year after year, posing great investment opportunities.

The launch of the estate’s latest phase was led by AboitizLand executives, David Rafel, CEO and President; Farrah Nina Mayol, AVP for Marketing, Branding and Customer Service; Ruffa Rodriguez, AVP for Sales; and Monique Angeles, Head of Project Development and Management.

Cebu’s homegrown real estate developer AboitizLand aims to create better ways to live through communities where Filipinos can thrive in and ultimately enhance their lifestyle. Having developed some of Cebu’s most premium communities, the real estate arm of the Aboitiz Group began its national expansion in 2017 with the launch of Seafront Residences, a 43-hectare beach community located in San Juan, Batangas. From its first venture in Luzon, the land group continues to widen its residential foothold through several residential communities in the region. These include  Ajoya communities in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija, Capas, Tarlac, and Mexico, Pampanga, and The Villages at Lipa, the residential enclave of LIMA, an Aboitiz-owned integrated economic center in Lipa-Malvar, Batangas.

Launched in April 2017, Foressa Mountain Town offers homes within the bounties of nature for the family and future generations to enjoy. Jerry Yan and Vanness Wu Reunite; Reveal reason for F4 Disbandment

Every ’90s kids remember the running to the bus scene in Meteor Garden, it was reenacted so many times that it’s etched in our memory forever.

The Taiwanese series that came out in 2001 was a huge hit her in the Philippines but most of all the iconic F4 that are Dao Ming Si, Hua Ze Lei, Xi Men, and Mei Zuo portrayed by Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu, and Vanness Wu, respectively.

And the group finally had a mini reunion through two of them as Taiwanese Jerry Yan and Vanness Wu starred as guests in the variety program “Welcome Back To Sound”.

Photo from Mango TV

The group and its members being together is a very rare sight indeed which made the interaction much more special especially for their fans.

In the white snow, Vanness walked towards Jerry where it can be clearly seen the happiness in both of their faces as they see each other. There was a slight awkwardness at first but soon they found their selves alone talking, looking back in their F4 days and even revealing stories we haven’t known yet.

First is that the four of them actually had a get-together four to five years ago at Vanness’ house and the second revelation is the reason for their disbandment.

Photo from Comic Ritz International Production

The boy band was made because of the popularity of the F4 in the drama unlike other groups of today. Not being trained together, they didn’t get the chance to know each other on a personal level which made a great impact on how they were as a group. Even having situations where members would be jealous of each other.

“If we really felt safe at that time and trusted each other, I think it might be different now. If we were more accommodated and had others been more tolerant and considerate of our feelings, I think it may be different now.”-Vanness

If you watch the episode, you’ll also be treated with a song as the boys sang Penny Tai’s “Ni Yao De Ai,” the famous ending song of Meteor Garden.

Mom Promises her Son P93,000 to stay off social media for 6 Years

Here’s a question for you, would you stay off social media for six whole years if someone for P90,000?

This might be a slightly difficult decision for some as we are already used to it in our daily lives and some use it for their work and businesses but to some who often take social media breaks and aren’t very active to begin with, this would be an easy and immediate yes.

Photo from Lorna Goldstrand Klefsaas

Though it seems impossible for us to have this opportunity, a mom Lorna Goldstrand Klefsaas of a teenager made this challenge and promised her then-12-year-old son, Sivert Klefsaas, to stay off social media until his 18th birthday for $1,800 which is roughly P93,000.

It was 2016 when the challenge started and Sivert who wasn’t into social media that much yet immediately agreed to do it. He also shared that it wasn’t that hard to accomplish and he didn’t even think about it a lot throughout the challenge.

Photo from Lorna Goldstrand Klefsaas

Last February 19, 2022, when he turned 18, he finally claimed his prize and celebrated with creating an Instagram account with a bio “I’m new here, be nice to me.”

Being a competitive kid, he considered abstaining from social media same as one of his basketball or football games and that it actually gave him more time to focus on schoolwork and sports.

“It’s hilarious. I feel like I’m, like, 80. I can’t seem to figure out social media,” -Sivert

Photo from Lorna Goldstrand Klefsaas

Both Sivert and his mom thinks that the challenge has positive results in his life and that it was definitely worth it.

Social media addiction has become a big problem among the young generations and its overuse is creating mental health issues.

This idea is both inspiring and also helpful to parents and families in dealing with social media introduction to the young ones.

MIGAG Minglanilla: Newest UNLIMITED Samgyupsal in the South for P299

Cebu is known for being one of the country’s top cities that easily accepts and receives new trends and influences from across the globe. One of the most popular is Samgyeopsal.

This popular Korean dish is usually either marinated or seasoned and is cooked on a grill at the table. Usually, we eat the meat directly from the grill. Aside from the flavorful dish in itself, eating it straight from the grill adds to it excitement.

Though Cebu has been exposed to this trend already, more and more ‘Samgyup’ restaurants are opening because of how Cebuanos welcome this yummy dish.

One of the newest is MIGAG Minglanilla. Though if you have been a fan of samgyup, you probably have heard of Migag already. But this time, they’ve expanded to the South!

Migag Minglanilla just soft opened on March 24 and boy I was never wrong. People flocked to the venue (following the new normal protocols ofc) to try this affordable and flavorful experience. For only P299 per person, you can eat as much samgyup, side dishes, and rice to your appetite’s liking.

Yes, you will get unlimited samgyeopsal meat marinated pork and chicken, kimchi, and rice for only P299. If that’s not enough to entice you, wait until you’ll see their wide array of food choices and desserts too. Truly, this is one Korean food haven.

What are you waiting for? Head on to the South and allow your oppas to serve you if you’ll get lucky!
