The craze for milktea is continuously blazing. With delicious milkteas and new tastes popping out, there is one milktea that has stood the test of time, one of the original milktea brands that started it all – Bubble Tea Station (BTS).
Proudly a Cebuano brand that started in 2012, BTS has been a household name and is seen everywhere in Cebu. All milktea lovers are probably loyal to their original, signature Wintermelon series.
Bubble Tea Station has been awarded “Best Milk Tea” by Sunstar Best of Cebu 2018 and has more than 40 branches in Cebu to date. This proves their milkteas are really good and well-loved.
BTS milk tea favorites can be conveniently ordered and delivered via GrabFood and Foodpanda.
Their best-selling milkteas include:
Rocksalt & Cheese Milk Tea
Wintermelon Special
Wintermelon Overload
Wintermelon Supreme
Honey Wintermelon
My personal favorite would be Wintermelon Special, there’s the tasty wintermelon flavor balanced with the creamy saltiness of Rocksalt and Cheese and the right chewyness of their black pearls.
Milk Series
Bubble Tea Station recently offered the kid-friendly, caffeine-free Milk series with our favorite BTS milk tea flavors.
Brown Sugar Series
Imagine the glazed caramel brown sugar slowly mixing into your favorite milktea. It definitely makes for a distinct but very delicious sip.
Classic BrownSugar Milk Tea
Wintermelon BrownSugar Milk Tea

There’s no other place that can pamper you better than Aloguinsan.
Over the years, it has become one of the top tourist destinations in Cebu. And why not? The town wouldn’t be tagged “Tropical Town, Jewel in the Midwest, My Place in the Sun and Ecotourism Capital of Cebu” for no apparent reason.
Sit back and relax as we take you to the seven key tourist attractions in Aloguinsan that you should never miss out when planning a travel soon.
1. The Farmhouse in Aloguinsan
Exact Location: few hundred meters away from the Aloguinsan public market
The Farmhouse gives you a unique showcase of agri-tourism and natural farming principles. Here, you will see healthy and organic vegetables including tomatoes, eggplants and some flowering plants like the bougainvillea. A culinary adventure tour assisted by the Cultural Heritage for Aloguinsan Tourism (CHAT) includes a walk around vermiculture and fishpond areas. Guests are also treated with puso-making (hanging rice) and banig weaving demonstration.
This tour ends with a sumptuous meal featuring organic and classic Filipino snacks and dishes like boiled sweet potato, biko, budbud, tinolang manok, grilled fish, lumpia, and a lot more.
The Farmhouse in Aloguinsan Tour can be taken in a package tour with other Aloguinsan tourist destinations like Bojo River and Hermit’s Cove.

2. Bojo River
Exact Location: Bojo, Aloguinsan, Cebu
Bojo River has never failed anyone who comes to witness its grandiose display of beauty in Aloguinsan. As you traverse the long 1.4 km stretch of the Bojo River, you will also be enchanted by the panoramic view of the mangroves that are home to about 60 bird species.
The Bojo River Tour (also known as the Aloguinsan River Eco-Cultural Tour) is ran by a community-based association so expect that the guides really earn for themselves as half of the fee you paid goes to them.
Ready for the cruise? Your 3-hour tour comes with a ride on a boat with a member of Bojo Aloguinsan Ecotourism Association (BAETAS) who is well-trained about the history of Aloguinsan and some environmental lessons.

Growing up, Walt Disney taught me that: “If you can dream it, do it.”
This adage has been proven to be true when real-life mom Angel Eslawan-Malait from Cebu turned her Disney dream photoshoot into a reality. Ever since has transitioned into being a Disney mommy, starting from Day 1 of her motherhood, she has dreamt and planned of her baby’s monthly Disney photoshoot.
“One of the reasons why Disney is my favorite is because every time I see a Disney character, I am given a magical feeling. I can’t descirbe it, but it’s such a happy feeling,”
– Angel Therese Eslawan – Malait from Cebu
“As a matter of fact, my hubby proposed to me in Tokyo Disneyland because he knows how much I love Disney.”
Her favorite character is Belle, from the Beauty and the Beast. She said that aside from her impeccable beauty, she likes how Belle doesn’t judge a book by its cover. On the other hand, she could mostly relate to Ariel of The Little Mermaid. Just like Ariel, she is adventurous, brave, and curious.
Hence, she wants her daughter to have her own magical experience as they celebrate her monthly birthday with a Disney-themed photoshoot.
• 1st Month – CHIBI DISNEY
The first month has to be subtle, but still obviously Disney. She chose Chibi Disney as her daughter’s companion.
• 2nd Month – SNOW WHITE
One of the classic Disney princesses, Snow White has to definitely be on the list. Being one of the first few Disney animations, Snow White truly is remarkable.
• 3rd Month – Belle
They say that third is a charm. So, her favorite has got to be during her daughter’s third month as Belle of the BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
• 4th Month – Ariel, THE LITTLE MERMAID
Of course, Ariel comes next. Let us not fail to appreciate baby’s mermaid tail. It’s just as cute as she totally is.
• 5th Month – PRINCESS JASMINE
Jasmine, one of the classic Disney princesses has to be on the list too. Can we all feel giddy over baby’s hair? Defo Princess Jasmine.
• 6th Month – SLEEPING BEAUTY
Princess Aurora, one of the very first few Disney princesses has to also make an appearance. Baby is definitely such a cutie!
• 7th Month – ALICE IN WONDERLAND
It’s not a complete Disney experience without a trip to Wonderland. Of course, baby has to experience the thrill and fun too.
• 8th Month – TINKERBELL
Baby is surely a good representation of Peter Pan’s Tinkerbell. Looking all cutesy, she definitely did not disappoint.
• 9th Month – CINDERELLA
The princess who is known by all Disney babies. I guess almost everyone’s favorite, too? Cinderella needs to make an appearance, for sure.
• 10th Month – Elsa
One from the dynamic duo of Frozen, Elsa, baby made sure to also ace this one too. Though she lacks her Anna, she sure didn’t disappoint too.
• 11th Month – POCAHONTAS
The princess who fought hard her battles, baby needs to be as courageous as this princess. I guess that’s why it’s part of her photoshoot.
• 12th Month – Princess Rapunzel
Baby’s hair has grown so long, didn’t it? But wait until you’ll realize she’s actually portraying Rapunzel of Tangled.
Contrary to what we may believe, Mommy Angel only alloted P1,200 to P2,000 for this monthly photoshoots. However, these photos weren’t taken by a professional photographer, they were captured by mom and dad.
I guess we could all be our own princesses in our own little ways. We don’t need to dress up like these princesses, but we could also be a little fancy.
Over the past months, many brands have been on sale, offering huge discounts on retail items as a way to attract more customers and encourage them to buy at their physical stores.
OXYGEN at SM City Cebu has surely caught the attention of many Cebuanos after a post about the sale went viral on Facebook, primarily because there are fashion items now sold for as low as P99.
No pandemic can stop the island of Cebu from showcasing its world-class beauty. Published on October 6, Cebu has been recognized as this year’s best island in the continent of Asia by the prestigious travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveler.

Condé Nast Traveler is a world-renowned, U.S.-based lifestyle and luxury travel magazine. Considered as the Emmy or Oscars for islands and cities, Condé Nast is currently on its 33rd edition of its online survey where approximately 600,000 registered voters from around the world decide and choose the world’s top countries, must-visit cities, and best islands every year.
The results of this massive worldwide voting is published annually on October (online) and November (in print).
Condé Nast’s category of Best Islands in the World: 2020 Readers’ Choice awards is divided per continent. In Asia, Cebu & Visayas Islands (merged together as one entry) gained the top spot with a rating of 95.83, closely followed by Sri Lanka with 95.45.
The magazine described Cebu as a tourist-magnet with its pristine beaches and world-class diving spots off the island’s northern coast attracting around 2 million tourists annually.
Aside from these, the rich culture and history of the island were also acknowledged, citing Cebu’s prominent Roman Catholic and Spanish influences.
The top attractions of Basilica Minore del Santo Niño and the Kawasan Falls in the southern town of Badian were also highlighted as some of the island’s most popular tourist spots.
