Explore AC Tilapia Fun Fishing & Family Park in Barili

0

Apart from being such a beautiful sight to look at, the waterfall of Mantayupan Falls not only exists as a stunning waterfall destination.

Surprisingly, it is also a generous source of water that sustains the fish pond of AC Tilapia Fun Fishing Village & Restaurant. The fishing village is just a few meters from the waterfall so it won’t be too out-of-way for tourists who are visiting the pristine waterfall of Barili.

As its name suggests, the main activity of AC Tilapia Fun Fishing Village is fishing. It is where families can enjoy a relaxing hour catching different types of fish that swim in their fish ponds. Despite its simplicity and straightforwardness, fishing is a great activity to collect that teaches the value of patience and being in the moment.

It can be a memorable experience for the kids and a rewarding activity for the entire family.  Moreover, the activity isn’t just for making memories. Fishes that are caught can actually be cooked at the restaurant for dinner at a very affordable price.

Although the name of this park does tell guests that it is a place for fishing – a reason that could make others quickly lose interest at the first glance – AC Tilapia Fun Fishing Village actually has other activities that cater to the tastes of various guests. For those who do not like to play the waiting game, there are actually more activities that also take advantage of the charming environment of the fishing village.

For those who like to bask in nature and who like to interact with animals as well, there are gentle and intelligent horses that can take guests on a tour around the property. These are well-trained animals that are accustomed to humans so they are of no threat to anyone.

For kids who prefer taking a plunge over holding a rod, there is a swimming pool that’s big enough for the entire family to enjoy. It’s also a refreshing dip as the water comes from the spring in the mountains.

Lastly, but definitely not the least, they have karaokes that are sure to liven up the party.

Fishing is definitely one way to spend a relaxing day and AC Tilapia Fun Fishing Village is a great place to experience it.  A single day surely won’t be enough for some people so AC Tilapia Fun Fishing Village also offers accommodation for those who want to stay overnight to enjoy and relax for a few more days.

Kandungaw Peak: An Exciting Trek to the top of Dalaguete

Dare to push yourself to your limits by scaling the steep slopes of Kandungaw Peak.

The neck-breaking steepness of Kandungaw Peak is definitely a sight to behold. One of its sides which feature a completely vertical wall imposes its grand height on all the people looking up to it. It doesn’t need mentioning but this peak is definitely not for the faint of heart.

It possesses extreme heights without the safety of railings or any form of obstruction. The peak is just purely a slope where climbers climb on one side and an unobstructed drop that puts fear of heights to the next level.

Looking beyond the sharp drop and the effort of climbing its steep slopes, Kandungaw Peak actually boasts of a majestic beauty with the grand natural formation at the center of it all.

Unadulterated plants and various flora wildly growing at the foot and at the top of the mountain filling its surroundings with a copious amount of green. It’s the picture perfect scenery that nature lovers will very much appreciate.

“Dungaw”, where the name of the peak was derived, actually means “to look down” which refers to the panoramic view at the top that could clearly see everything below it. The peak was crucial to occupants of the mountain during the Japanese regime as it provided a vantage point for them to spot if the Japanese were making a move below.

At the base of the mountain is also a secret cave where they would cook their food once a day to avoid getting spotted by the colonizers. The cave and the peak served as key factors to their survival during the colonization period. Now, the cave and peak are open to the public for a first-hand experience of the views that the Filipinos of the time saw.

A little bit of adrenaline and a little bit of history lesson is surely a great way to spend the weekend away from the city.

Island Life Beach: Exclusive Beach Stay in Ginatilan

0

We all crave for a calm after the 2020 storm.

Reconnecting with nature makes a good jump-off point for a better life this year. An exclusive paradise stay at Island Life Beach in Ginatilan, Cebu is a great choice to kick-off the year with a meaningful reunion with nature.

The resort takes pride for the calming and rejuvenating accommodation it offers to its guests. The nice view of the beach facing Tanon Strait and the sunset are few of the highlights here, not to mention that the beach itself is a good spot for an enjoyable weekend retreat with friends and family.

For now, the resort only accepts advanced bookings. An exclusive use of the resort comes with the use of their 3 air-conditioned rooms and comfort rooms with hot-cold showers.

For your meals, the place has a kitchen where you can cook your food. A refrigerator is also available to keep your food ingredients fresh and your drinks chilled. Kitchen utensils are already provided.

What is so good about Island Life Beach is that it has a bar where you can chill and laugh with friends and company. Drinking has proven to effectively destress some people and it might prove true for you too. Just a word of caution: drink moderately.

If you’re up for some marine life adventure, the resort also offers pump boat rentals for dolphin watching and sardine run. However, depending on the weather and considering that dolphins are wild animals, sightings are not guaranteed all the time.

Strictly, no pets are allowed.

Things have been very cruel to us last year and the least that we can do is to find our personal calm after those storms. Truly, we deserve a remarkable start and giving in to our cravings is one of those.
