On Wednesday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of April 28, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 157 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 188 new recoveries, and 4 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 50,478, while the active cases dropped to 2,771 (from 2,805).

– Total confirmed: 23,276 (+73 new)
– Total recoveries: 21,618 (+58 new)
– Total deaths: 832 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 826
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 6,195 (+18 new)
– Total recoveries: 5,395 (+52 new)
– Total deaths: 155 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 645
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 6,316 (+27 new)
– Total recoveries: 5,673 (+45 new)
– Total deaths: 209 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 434
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 14,691 (+39 new)
– Total recoveries: 13,198 (+33 new)
– Total deaths: 627 (+4 new)
– Active cases: 866
