While that can be fun, attending a concert at the Philippine Arena comes with its own set of challenges.
Photo from jeffrey reyes
As the popularity of this massive venue grows, it’s important for concert-goers to be prepared and aware of what to expect.
From transportation to accommodation, food, and communication, here are some key factors to consider when planning your trip to the Philippine Arena.
Transportation
Photo from UnsplashPhoto from Ivan Zoren Jueves
Plan your mode of transportation well in advance. Arrange for shuttle or bus services provided by the official organizer or look for fan-initiated initiatives. If you’re driving, consider carpooling with fellow fans to share expenses, you can look for other concert goers to split the fare with on Twitter. Research the different routes available and stay updated on road closures and diversions, because they can vary.
Hotel Stay and Accommodation
Photo from Unsplash
Since the Philippine Arena is located outside Metro Manila, nearby accommodations are limited. Check Facebook groups, AirBnB, and Agoda listings for short-term stays. Book early to secure a place within a reasonable distance from the venue. Avoid the hassle of commuting long hours after the concert and prioritize rest and recovery.
Unlike concert venues in Metro Manila, the Philippine Arena lacks nearby malls or restaurants. It’s best to bring your own food and drinks to avoid long queues and meet your specific preferences. Plan your meals in advance, considering lunch, snacks, and dinner. Bringing your own meals ensures you won’t go hungry during the event.
Connections and Cell Service
Photo from Unsplash
Phone signals can be unreliable at the venue, so don’t solely rely on social media apps for communication. Save your friends’ phone numbers and ensure you have enough mobile load to call or text them if needed. Agree on a meet-up place within the venue in case you have difficulty reaching each other.
Appropriate and Concert-Ready Behavior
During the concert, remember to behave appropriately and follow the rules set by the venue and organizers. Charge your devices beforehand and bring power banks to ensure your gadgets stay powered throughout the event. Stay hydrated, take breaks if needed, and have a memorable time enjoying the music and performances.

By considering these aspects and being prepared, you can enhance your concert experience at the Philippine Arena and make the most out of this unique venue.
Awra Briguela has found herself in legal trouble after being involved in a brawl at a bar in Poblacion, Makati.
Photo from Awra Briguela on Instagram
The incident, which took place on Thursday morning, June 29, has sparked outrage among her friends and netizens, who are questioning the fairness of her arrest.
Video footage of Briguela being manhandled by authorities and bouncers during her arrest has gone viral, adding fuel to the growing controversy.
According to reports from the Southern Police District (SPD), the fight began when Briguela and her friends allegedly demanded that a certain Mark Christian Ravana remove his shirt. After Ravana declined, Briguela reportedly tore his shirt, leading to an argument between the two parties. Ravana and bouncer Angelo Nino Gulmatico then called the Poblacion Police Substation for assistance.

Upon their arrival, the police claim that Briguela resisted arrest and used foul language towards the officers. Awra Briguela has been charged with physical injuries, alarm and scandal, direct assault, and disobedience to a person in authority. As a result, she is currently under police custody until the inquest proceedings take place.
Briguela’s friend Zayla Nakajima took to social media to defend the actress, claiming that Briguela was attempting to protect her from sexual harassment by Ravana. Nakajima alleged that Ravana initiated the fight and physically assaulted Briguela.
Briguela’s arrest has sparked a wave of support from her friends and netizens. Hashtags such as #IStandWithAwra and #JusticeForAwra has gained significant traction on social media.
The incident has ignited a broader conversation about fairness, accountability, and the treatment of individuals involved in altercations. Many argue that both sides of the story should be thoroughly investigated and that all parties responsible for the brawl should face legal consequences accordingly.

Supporters of Awra Briguela are demanding a fair investigation and urging authorities to consider the alleged sexual harassment she endured before the confrontation. The detention of Awra Briguela following a bar fight in Makati has stirred up public outcry, with friends and netizens rallying behind the actress and expressing their frustration over the perceived injustice in the case.

The future depicted in TV shows isn’t as fictitious as we thought.
I guess we will be saying goodbye to land traffic by next year because Suzuki is joining forces with SkyDrive to produce flying cars by 2024.
Photo from SkyDrive
SkyDrive is a Japanese start-up that aims to provide mobility solutions. They produce flying cars with zero emissions and provide efficient transportation to commuters. Moreover, SkyDrive will make a new company to assemble flying vehicles. The company will use Suzuki’s plant, which is located in the Shizuoka Prefecture.
The goal is to be able to use the cars at the 2025 World Exposition in Osaka. This joint venture was made possible because of SkyDrive’s plans to redesign their flying cars to fit three people. They will also be increasing the flight range to 15 kilometers.

You might think, “ChatGPT, again?” Is there anything new? Well, this one might stir your curiosity.
The popular AI chatbot by OpenAI is now a favorite target of hackers. According to a report from Group-IB, a cybersecurity law firm in Singapore, over 101,000 ChatGPT login credentials were stolen and sold on the dark web this year.
Photo from Unsplash
These ChatGPT credentials were stolen using the Racoon Malware. The malware steals information from someone’s computer after the unsuspecting user downloads it in the guise of an app. Moreover, Racoon is fairly easy to manipulate and can be maintained through a subscription service.
Hackers can see your chat history with ChatGPT and other AI chatbots, so you should not upload personal information using the AI bots. Not only that but when the user reuses their password for other online platforms, the hacker can also access them.
Photo from Group-IB on Twitter
This is the scary side of AI. Do not download suspicious files and apps from the internet as much as possible. Also, make sure that the passwords for each of your online platforms are different and challenging to crack.
A jellyfish sting is even more painful than a breakup!
But kidding aside, jellyfish stings can be excruciating, and some can even lead to death. Just this month, the municipality of Santa Fe, Bantayan Island, released a statement reminding everyone, especially tourists, to be careful while dipping in the Island’s waters.
Photos from Unplash
The Municipality stated that it is already “jellyfish season.”
“Jellyfish can vary in size, shape, and severity of their stings. While most jellyfish stings are not life-threatening, they can cause discomfort, pain, and sometimes allergic reactions. It is crucial to be aware of the potential risks and take necessary precautions to ensure safety,”
STATED THE MUNICIPALITY’S OFFICIAL FACEBOOK PAGE.
Meanwhile, a Facebook user posted that a tourist died from a box jellyfish sting. The user reminded the readers that June, or Fiesta of San Juan, is the season for jellyfish to emerge, especially the Sabay/Shabay (box jellyfish) and Bokya (black jellyfish).
She also urged everyone to steer clear of the ‘PangPang’ or Cliff Side, famously called ‘The Ruins.’
Photos from Municipality of Santa Fe, Official on Facebook
Here are a few reminders when swimming during jellyfish season, according to the Municipality of Santa Fe, Official:
Pay attention to warning signs or flags posted by local authorities or beach management.
Wear protective clothing, such as a wetsuit, to protect the skin from coming in contact with jellyfish tentacles.
Use jellyfish repellent.
Stay updated with local news or consult lifeguards.
Avoid touching or swimming near jellyfish.
Administer first aid in case of a jellyfish sting.
Immediately exit the water and seek medical attention.
Rinse the affected area with saltwater. Avoid using freshwater; it may worsen the sting.
Consider using a vinegar solution or use a commercial jellyfish sting remedy.
Do not rub the affected area to avoid releasing more venom.

The beach is great for beating the heat, but it is still important to be careful with our surroundings, especially during the jellyfish season. Swim responsibility, fellow “laagans.”
