How Alodia and Christopher Found Love
Alodia Gosiengfiao and Christopher Quimbo’s love story began on a quadruple date, where their immediate connection simply defied their contrasting personalities—Alodia, known for her introverted nature, and Christopher, the outgoing extrovert. “We just kept talking. We had a really good conversation,” Christopher shared in an interview with Dr. Vicky Belo.

Before meeting Christopher, Alodia was coming out of a long-term relationship with Wil Dasovich, which ended in November 2021. The end of that chapter left her hesitant about jumping back into the dating scene. However, her fears melted away when she encountered the kind and understanding Christopher. Their bond deepened, leading to their engagement in July 2022.
Now, as they prepare to welcome their first child, the couple’s journey continues with excitement and joy. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Quimbo on their growing family and their soon-to-arrive baby boy Q!

Nicholas Perry a.k.a the mukbang YouTuber Nikocado Avocado, shocked netizens on September 7 after he showed an updated video of him several pounds lighter.
Nikovado said in his video, “Today, I woke up from a very long dream, and I also woke up having lost 250 pounds off of my body… Just yesterday, people were calling me fat and sick and boring and irrelevant. People are the most messed up creatures on the entire planet, and yet I still manage to stay two steps ahead of everyone.”

Famed for devouring massive quantities of food in his mukbang videos, Nikocado Avocado recently revealed that the previous month’s videos were actually pre-recorded. This was part of a carefully planned social experiment in which he aims to present what appears to be a dramatic weight loss compared to his previous month’s footage. In reality, Nikovado had been threading the lines of his nutrition carefully and embraced better awareness on his food for 2 years to lose the unnecessary weight, as well as be a healthier version of himself.
“This has been the greatest social experiment of my entire life. It’s worrying, it’s compelling, it’s gripping to observe all these unwell, disorientated beings roam the Internet in search of stories, ideas, rivalries where they feel encouraged, engaged,” he shared.

The Dangers of Mukbang
Photo from Nikovado
Mukbang is a type of live-streamed or video post that shows a person consuming quantities of food that’s beyond what a normal person would eat. It is a type of audiovisual show that lets the person in the video share a meal with the audience, however, it also poses health threats to the one doing the mukbanging, such as obesity, high-blood pressure, digestive problems, and nutritional imbalance.
A Chinese influencer named Pan Xiaoting reportedly died during one of her livestreams as she attempted to eat 10 kilograms of food, while, in Iligan City, Philippines, Vlogger Dongz Apatan died of stroke after eating fried chicken.

Whether you’re a fan of mukbang or considering a weight loss journey, it’s crucial to listen to your body and approach changes with caution. Extreme measures often lead to more harm than good. Prioritize your health and well-being, and remember to make gradual, sustainable adjustments. Stay safe, Sugboanons!

Edmun H. Liu, CLINICA PRIME Chairman and LHPI Group CFO
Established in 2004, the LH Paragon Group has continuously strengthened itself over the past four (4) years after partnering with Spain-based Keralty Global in 2020. On the evening of September 4, 2024, residents of Cagayan were left astounded when the night sky lit up as an asteroid passed by before hitting our planet.
Screengrab from netizen Allan Madelar’s video of the falling asteroid
Asteroid 2024 RW1 was 1.3 meters in size and was the ninth asteroid that humankind has witnessed zooming past our skies before touchdown, approximately 3,140 km for its closest approach to Earth. The space agency confirmed that the asteroid was harmless due to its small size.
The asteroid, about 1 meter in size, was detected only hours before impact by NASA’s Catalina Sky Survey. Upon entry, it created a stunning fireball, visible across the skies of northern Luzon
PAGASA
In addition, the space agency also advised that there will be more to come with around the same size, every two weeks. According to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of NASA, the next one will be on September 6, 2024, named the “2024 RF,” with a size comparison of a house measuring about 15 meters and will have a close proximity to our planet at 4,760,000 kilometers.

Beliefs Surrounding Asteroids & Celestial Objects
Many were in awe upon seeing the video captured by one netizen in Cagayan showing the asteroid’s fall. Some commented how the phenomenon reminded them of an animated movie entitled “Your Name,” while others shared their thoughts and beliefs about falling celestial objects. Why? Well, simply because in the olden times, and in some cultures nowadays, asteroids are considered harbingers of doom or good luck, depending on the belief. Some say that it’s a message from the gods, while others will head over to where the asteroid hits and take some parts of it as it is a tool for healing.
But, regardless, asteroids and celestial objects are truly a rare beauty of nature that if we witness them on our skies, we should take in the moment as it can be once in a lifetime.

So, Sugboanons, if you wanna learn more about asteroids, then visit NASA’s website and their live asteroid tracker; it’ll surely blow your mind knowing what may come next and when it will arrive.
