Seaside Resort: Tropical beach resort in Boljoon

0

Not every vacation requires an extensive shore for sunbathing and getting tanned. Sometimes, a small beachfront with spacious rooms that provide shade are already enough to be able to enjoy a brief getaway.

These are the things that Seaside Resort offers to its guests who are looking for a sweet and peaceful time away from the metro. Seaside Resort is an apartment-type building with rooms of varying sizes.

The different rooms are able to accommodate couples to as much as a whole family – perfect for groups or pairs. They also have bunk bed rooms which can accommodate barkadas with up to 8 people.

The biggest rooms in the resort are the family rooms which can accommodate up to 15 people and are equipped with everything that a regular house would have such as a sala and kitchen. Dining areas are also present where families can have gatherings and salu-salo.

There are also more rooms inside which are separated into 2-5 person bedrooms which can still be filled with more extra mattresses on the floor. For non-family rooms, Seaside Resort has a beachside relaxing area which also has a grill for barbecue nights.

Beyond the rooms of the resort is a pristine beach boasting its white sands and marvelous tropical views. The beach is easily accessible from the building and is available for use to all of the guests. The beachfront has enough space for kids to frolic on and for couples to share intimate moments together ambling the shore.

The result is an overall better experience for our Globe At Home customers.

“It is really important for us to earn the trust of our customers especially during these times. So we took a look at what our customers are paying and the services they’re getting in return. For example, those enjoying 10 Mbps at Plan 1699 may be upgraded to twice their current speed at no cost to them. This is our way of making sure that with Globe, our customers really get what they pay for,” says Darius Delgado, Vice President and Head of Broadband Business at Globe.

To ensure customers enjoy this program, all Globe customers are encouraged to update their account details for better servicing and maintenance. They can do this via the Globe at Home app.

“If our customers are able to maximize the plans that they subscribe to, this is real value for money,” Delgado adds.

For after sales service support, Globe promotes a fully digital experience by using the Globe At Home app.  The app has a Help function for all types of customer support including plan upgrades, troubleshooting, or reporting an issue.  Instead of customers calling the hotline, Globe does outbound customer calls to those who register their service requirements in the app.

Children aged 10-14 now allowed to go out starting February 1

0

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has eased the age-based restrictions for areas placed under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) starting on February 1, 2021.

Children under 10 years old and senior citizens over 65 are still required to remain in their residence at all times.

The entire island of Cebu — Cebu Province, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, and Mandaue City — are still placed under MGCQ and are enjoined to adopt the same relaxation of age-restrictions.

Local government units (LGUs) may be implementing special health protocols depending on the community-level situation. For areas in Cebu Province and Lapu-Lapu City, there’s no age limit restriction as kids and seniors can join the whole family when staying in a resort or hotel, or dining in. For areas in Cebu City and Mandaue City, kids and seniors are still not allowed.

On the other hand, the IATF amended its earlier resolution, IATF Resolution No 92, on all foreign travelers covered by travel restrictions because of the new COVID-19 variants by specifying those exempted, such as foreign nationals with valid visas, which include personnel of accredited international organizations, and spouse and minor children of Filipino citizens traveling with them.

Those who arrive for medical and emergency cases, including their medical escorts, if any, are now subject to applicable testing and quarantine protocols as prescribed by the Department of Health (DOH).

From the strict observation of an absolute fourteen (14) day facility-based quarantine period for Filipino citizens coming from areas where travel restrictions are in place, the IATF amended this to prescribed testing and quarantine protocols.

Further, Filipino citizens arriving for highly exceptional and/or medical reasons and local diplomats are now subject to applicable quarantine protocols as prescribed by the DOH.

On testing and quarantine protocols for passengers coming from, or transiting through, countries where travel restrictions are in place due to new COVID-19 variants, these incoming passengers shall be tested upon arrival and shall be quarantined until the result of the subsequent test administered on the fifth day is released.

Also amended were sections related to hotels or accommodation establishments on the Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines as proposed by the Department of Tourism.

Cebu’s BRT and Monorail to partially operate by yearend

0

On January 20, 2021, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade shared the infrastructure projects of Cebu. This was done during the inauguration of the new LTFRB-7 building.

The Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and the Cebu Monorail are some of the major projects in the province expected to partially operate before the year ends.

Proposed Cebu BRT

The BRT’s construction will start in April 2021 to help decongest the traffic in Metro Cebu after the procurement for its construction has been approved for P16.5 billion.

On the other hand, the Cebu Monorail’s P77.57 billion project is also set to partially operate before the year ends.

From Philtram Transportation Consortium Inc.’s study of Metro Cebu’s monorail project

The head of the Cebu Provincial Traffic Management Board, Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, has been focused on addressing the issues to ease the traffic congestion in the Province of Cebu.

The solutions they have implemented are:

  • No-left turn, no-crossing
  • Extended truck ban hours
  • New schedule of releasing cargo from ports

Garcia expressed her gratitude to DOTr and LTFRB 7 for all of the projects and support to Cebu and committed assistance, if needed.

“The only way that I could possibly express my thanks not just in words but in deed so allow me to commit a 101-percent support to the needs of LTFRB-7 in whatever way we can help,”

– Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia

Apart from the aforementioned, Tugade also shared the ongoing construction of a taxiway at the Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA). This is set to be completed by February 2021. Upon completion, DOTr is set to also build a second runway at the airport and is expected to be completed before May 2022.

“Ano po ang kahalagahan ng taxiway and second runway? Ito po ay magpapalawig at magpapabilis ng take-off at landing (ng mga eroplano), madadagdagan yung bilis, in other words, mapapalawig yung biyahe ng turista ng taga Cebu, ng mga Pilipino at kung sinu-sinoman maglalakbay sa Cebu,” he said.
