Everything You Need To Know About Samsung Galaxy S25

What’s so interesting about this phone?

In a massive teaser, Samsung confirmed that a fourth Galaxy S flagship model is on its way. It’s called the Galaxy S25 Edge. What should we know about this phone? Even though Samsung has teased it for the Unpacked launch event in San Jose, the phone’s technical details haven’t been confirmed yet.

A brand new entry into the Galaxy S series, you can bet that there are a lot of rumors and gossip about it. In this article, we will give you a full recap of the latest device:

It’s Slim Profile

The most unique feature of this phone is its slim profile, which is why industry watchers used to refer to it as the “Galaxy S25 Slim” before the San Jose Unpacked event. Nobody knows how precisely thin it will be once this device is on sale. According to Samsung, the design that was demonstrated during the Unpacked event is bound to change. The demo unit is quite skinny.

The phone will have a 6.4mm profile, but this is still yet to be confirmed. If Samsung has any intentions to break records, it will create a thinner device than 6.4mm.

Specs Wise

The Galaxy S25 Edge should share some DNA with the rest of the series. Instead of the full-fledged 8-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the Galaxy S25 Edge could feature the 7-core version of the same SoCs. Other specs may include:

  • 128GB/512GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM
  • Potentially, there is a 512GB+12GB variant in the works.
  • A 3,900-4,000mAh battery
  • A 6.7-inch AMOLED Infinity-O display, possibly with a resolution of around 1080×2400. Brightness and refresh rate details are unknown.
  • One UI 7 with the latest Galaxy AI features.
  • Support for seven yearly OS upgrades

One other unusual Galaxy S25 Edge characteristic is the rumored camera configuration. Initial rumors said the phone would be equipped with a 200MP main camera and 50 MP ultra-wide shooter.

The demo unit showcase during the launch event had two cameras, which can be turned off for camera enthusiasts, but we will see how it all turns out.

The device will likely have a 12-MP front-facing selfie shooter.

Get Ready For Its Global Release!

It’s unclear if the Galaxy S25 Edge will enjoy a global release, but rumors may say again that it may go on sale in April. Pricing details are al so unknown but people expect the phone to be positioned between the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

All in one, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be a reinterpretation of the Samsung premium phone formula — the one we haven’t had before. It’s something brand new and it kind of shows that Samsung is still willing to step outside its comfort zone. Whether or not the phone and Samsung’s efforts will be worth it remains to be determined.

Talented jud ang Bisaya: Get to Know Your Favorite Cebuano Pop Groups

Tatak, Bisaya!

The Cebuano music scene has always blown us away. From Morisette Amon to listening to Kurt Fick—as well as other musicians who hail from other regions in the country. The local scene has always given us a feel and they still do. With new blood coming in and many more, we are blessed to relish their musicality and talent.

We at Sugbo.ph would like to introduce to you some of these talented singers that you should listen to whether you are at home, at work, or in the car. Music is a universal currency and here are the list of Cebu pop groups:

VLST

VLST is a five-member PPop boy group composed of Cebuanos, committed to showcasing their talents and creating a deep connection with each individual through their music. The group is managed by risingharmony_entertainment.

Kinto Boys

Gikan sa Kinto Distrito, paingon sa inyong kasing-kasing

The Kinto Boys is an unexpected collaboration of Sinulog Idol Finalists, grouped during 5th District’s R-Cebu “Biyahe sa Kinto Distrito 2024.

Dom Guyot

Dom Guyot is a familiar presence in the music scene, but this artist has been dropping tracks that seek to “represent the LGBTQ+ community through style, aesthetics, beauty, and skill. He offers songs that range from laid-back and soulful to lively and seductive. Our favorite friend brings a unique perspective to RnB that transcends just audio recordings, including his music videos.

The Sundown

The Sundown is a Cebuano music group that composed of members: Vincent Eco (guitars), Gino Rosales (guitars), Alden Panes (drums), Luigi Balazo (bass), and Aaron Domingo (vocals) have been working on their own music for years and each member claim to be a fan of their work. How was it? Eco was looking for others who wanted to enjoy music with him, leading a new wave in music—-Cebuano indie pop.

Sansette

There’s nothing quite like enjoying a band from the islands that radiates joy, enjoys the sunshine, and adores the sunflower emoji. This Cebuano ensemble hasn’t launched a new album yet, but their songs are promising, and they recently worked with Ely Buendia and Ysanygo’s Ysa Ferraz.

Jollianne

We discovered this singer in Dom Guyot’s ‘Ambitions’ but after a deep dive into what she has to offer. Aside from the silky smooth voice she has shared with the country in a singing contest as a kid. Forda lyricism si ate girl, we love this singer-songwriter and her way of writing lyrics stemming from her experience and imagination.

Sepia Times

Sepia Times is a Cebuano band known for its chill synths, alt-pop melodies, and heartfelt lyrics. The duo paints a picture in their lives through music that marries the nostalgia of the past.

Wonggoys

You are definitely missing out if you haven’t heard about this group. This trio has been around since 2010 and combines different genres of music while adding a playful twist. This evolution of this Cebuano act is amazing and you can see it yourself.

Regulated vs. Unregulated Markets: What Bettors Should Know

When most people think about finding a sportsbook, they mostly focus on the odds and welcome bonuses. But have you ever stopped to think about the regulations behind sports betting in the country and whether the sportsbook you want to use is locally regulated? In betting and online gaming, these are quite crucial considerations as they may also be the line between legitimacy and unreliable entities.

Regulated sportsbooks like 1xbet Mobile operate under strict oversight by their licensing bodies, which helps ensure safety and fairness. However, the regulation varies by country, resulting in legal markets, grey markets, and black markets.

What Is a Regulated Market?

A regulated market is simply where the betting activities are monitored and controlled by a government agency. The agency is responsible for giving out licenses to operators, and it then ensures that all sportsbooks and casinos offer a fair, secure, and transparent service to the customers.

In the Philippines, operators are licensed and regulated by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). It was created to end illegal gambling activities, and it’s responsible for ensuring that all operators in the country follow the established guidelines.

Here are the three main features of regulated markets.

  • Player Protection: The first major requirement is to ensure that the players are safe. Their data should not be compromised, and there are also limitations on how an operator can use it. All sensitive information must be encrypted, and payments must be handled in a secure manner.
  • Fair Play: Some unscrupulous operators can tweak their games to give themselves an unfair advantage. Regulators are responsible for ensuring that all games are fair and players aren’t ripped off.
  • Dispute Resolution: Issues can always come up – maybe it’s a disputed payout after a big win or a game that malfunctions. Since there’s a regulatory authority, you always have a fallback that can act as your mediator.

The regulated market offers players safety, and since these companies can advertise locally, they are mostly familiar names like 1xbet – bet football on top matches.

What About Unregulated Markets?

Now, let’s flip the coin. Unregulated markets are where the operators don’t have local operation licenses. Most of them cater to international audiences where gambling is allowed, but some may even operate in countries where it’s not. The latter edges towards the black market, but it doesn’t necessarily define the unregulated market. In most cases, it’s sportsbooks that have licenses in different countries but haven’t acquired a local license.

The lack of a local license means that the operator can’t really advertise locally or offer local payment options. However, these are quickly becoming less of an issue due to the adoption of cryptocurrency in the gambling world. Users can deposit and withdraw their winnings via crypto, negating the need for a local payment processor (and avoiding the government’s watchful eye).

That said, the unregulated market requires a significant amount of caution as it poses several risks. First, there are sportsbooks that operate with the aim of swindling users, and others aren’t reliable in paying out winnings. Since the operator is not licensed locally, you won’t have a mediator who can ensure you get what’s yours.

POGOs vs. Unregulated Operators

In July 2024, President Bongbong Marcos banned Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs), renamed Internet gaming licensees (IGLs). However, it’s important to note that these are different from offshore operators.

The former are licensed in the Philippines but used to target users in foreign countries, including where gambling is banned, like in China. The latter are simply international sportsbooks that haven’t acquired local licenses in the Philippines. These aren’t explicitly illegal, so some Philippine betters also use them to take advantage of better odds, crypto payments, or anonymity.

So, Where Should I Bet?

This ultimately depends on what you value. If it’s peace of mind and ease of use, then regulated casinos are the way to go. You’ll be assured of secure transactions, fair games, and an option for escalating payment disputes.

Unregulated markets don’t have a fallback plan, but they can be quite attractive if you are looking for variety and bigger bonuses. However, you need to do proper research before using one to ensure it’s properly licensed and has a track record of being reliable – in payments, transaction times, security, and customer support. You can then start with small deposits as you determine whether the platform is right for you.

I Woke Up Like This: 2025 Makeup Trends to Watch Out For

Kung magpa-gwapa ta? Mag antos jud ta because no pain is no gain

It’s finally 2025 and magpagwapa napud ta karon para ready to slay our next 365 days. We have been doing the “no makeup makeup look” for the past few years but something in the internet ecosystem has changed. We are talking about grunge, flaws unconcealed, and leaning into your own individuality; yes, we’re going subversive and with an intentionally messy vibe!

In this article, we are going to give you a full breakdown and learn from the celebrity makeup artists about their opinions on some must-try makeup looks:

Subtle Realness: Under Eyes

Celebrity makeup artist, Patrick Ta, says that we are celebrating realness more than ever. Think effortlessly chic looks that bring out your unique radiance. You can start by using a serum-based lightweight formula rather than your full coverage concealer. It won’t completely cover up your under eyes but it will make you look fresh.

Also, it goes hand in hand with the new party girl makeup looks predicted by makeup artist Donny Davy as he suggests to tone down your concealer—not flushed against the eye. We can also forego it altogether and go for a grunge shadowy look, similar to Gabbriette and Charli XCX whose eyes are rarely overly polished and bright.

Quiet Grunge

Social media has defined many trends for the past few decades and we all love a throwback look. According to MAC makeup artist, Chantel Miller, quiet grunge is going to be one of the biggest trends in 2025. The makeup look is composed of a muted version of gothcore colors—we are talking grays, taupes, beige, and the next iterations of the nineties. This is how we define nostalgia and make it more contemporary.

Makeup artist, Daniel Martin, also added that the trick is to be not so intentional and precious with the applications. He recommends doing your eyes before applying your foundation or concealer to prevent any potential fallout from the liner or mascara. Line the inner top and your bottom waterline, then close your eyes and squeeze tightly. This tearing will help move the eyeliner and a natural looking smudge without the eyebags and breakouts.

Super Fresh Skin

Glowy skin? Girl, that’s the vibe we are looking for as we are leaning to a more dewy look without using too much product. Patrick Ta, a celebrity makeup artist is also a Korean skincare lover and their skincare has allowed us to prep our skin before putting on makeup. Glowy products just means you need a lot less coverage to create a fake glow. Why not try the real deal? We just got the thing for you.

For foundation? Makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez recommends opting for a lightweight liquid with a buildable coverage. You can use the Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation, a foundation she uses on Sabrina Carpenter. The foundation has buildable coverage, therefore you can go natural to as full coverage than ever. It leaves a glow on natural skin texture.

Metallic Accents

Metallic accents took over lids at Loewe and lips at Miu Miu for the spring or summer runway shows but how about we do it? We are all in for an elevated, shimmering eyeshadow heading into 2025. Patrick Ta, a celebrity makeup artist said that a wash of metallic shimmer across your eyes or a metallic eyeliner wing or a dab of shimmer on your lips—futuristic and simple.

You can skip your mascara when doing these pearly white shadows to let the shimmer speak for itself.

Undefined Lips

We are veering into a less structured territory, makeup artist Nam Vo created a look for the LoveShackFancy spring or summer ‘25 show and it’s called a backward popsicle lip. First, she applied concealer on the lips for a radiant glow then she used a bright berry stain just on the center of the lips. Vo topped it off with a juicy lip oil to diffuse the color outward. Lips will be glossy, healthy, shimmery, and translucent.

This look is alright with the cherry girl makeup on Tiktok right now featuring a mixture of red liner and lip gloss to create a softer red lip. You can create these easily blurred lips with any shade. It’s a great option for a matte lip, especially with the upstick in chubby lip crayons.
