Lalamove Officially  Launches Ride-hailing Services in Cebu, Offering 2% Commission Rate for Partner Drivers

Lalamove is officially offering ride-hailing services in Cebu, offering a two-percent commission rate for partner drivers to give Cebuano commuters more convenient, affordable, and safe transportation options in the Visayas region’s rising economic and tourist hub.

The platform targets to onboard at least 1,500 drivers with hatchback cars, sedans, and MPVs in Cebu during the first half of 2025 to ease the transportation woes of passengers in Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, and the rest of Cebu province.

“The rapid economic growth of Cebu is undeniable, especially as it continues to attract over 2 million local and international tourists. All these combined fuel the heightened need for better transportation means, especially during peak, holiday, and tourist seasons. Lalamove Ride’s ride-hailing entry in Cebu aims to provide convenient, safe, and affordable transportation options for Cebuanos and ease the challenges posed by traffic congestion island-wide,” remarked Lalamove Philippines Managing Director Djon Nacario.

Helping lives and livelihoods in Cebu and improving transportation

Lalamove’s expansion into ride-hailing in Cebu also provides a significant opportunity for partner drivers to generate more income through the app. Nacario pointed out that verified drivers for ride-hailing can take home 98 percent of their income, and take advantage of ride-hailing bookings and delivery orders.

“In line with our commitment to supporting communities, we want to help improve Cebu’s current transportation system. At the same time, we’re here to provide more flexible livelihood opportunities for partner drivers in just one app,” he shared.

Drivers, however, are not allowed to service passengers and deliver packages at the same time. But while they are not allowed to accept and co-load both deliveries and ride-hailing orders, they can plan their schedules and routes better to maximize their income.

For example, current Lalamove partner drivers with sedans arrive early in Mandaue City, Talisay City, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu City, and other high-booking areas for deliveries. To earn more, they can reserve time and identify locations best known for high demand among commuters.

Lalamove’s Sign-up Process for TNVS Drivers

The following valid documents are required by Lalamove from interested ride-hailing driver applicants in Cebu: (1) a Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) or Provisional Authority (PA) issued by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB); (2) a professional driver’s license, (3) NBI/barangay/police clearance; (4) passenger accident insurance; and (5) vehicle photos.

Those borrowing the car to be used for Lalamove’s ride-hailing purposes in Cebu have to provide a Letter of Authorization from the vehicle owner, while drivers who are the second or third owners of their vehicle have to submit the Deed of Sale.

“Lalamove has been in Cebu since 2018 to cater to the on-demand delivery needs of Cebuanos island-wide. More than ride-hailing services, our goal is to provide better transportation, offering convenience, affordability, and safety so Cebuanos can get to where they need to be,” shared Nacario.

BTC Bull Token Booms as Investors Rush to Earn Bitcoin Rewards: Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Miss Out

If you missed Bitcoin’s early days, don’t make the same mistake twice. Now’s your chance to ride the next bull wave with BTC Bull Token ($BTCBULL)—the only cryptocurrency that airdrops real Bitcoin ($BTC) to its holders.

BTC Bull Token ($BTCBULL) is a meme-powered, community-driven token built to ride Bitcoin’s ($BTC) bull wave with the ambitious goal of reaching $1 million.

$BTCBULL rewards its holders with real Bitcoin every time BTC hits a major price milestone. Its unique model drew instant investor interest, raising $100,000 within minutes of appearing on Best Wallet’s “Upcoming Tokens” feature.

Priced at $0.00235, $BTCBULL gives early investors a chance to buy in before the price increases in three days. With demand surging, waiting could mean missing out on the next big crypto opportunity.

Ride Bitcoin’s Surge to $1M with $BTCBULL: Earn Real BTC Airdrops Along the Way

As Bitcoin pushes toward $1 million, $BTCBULL holders earn real BTC alongside additional $BTCBULL rewards. This dual-reward system maximizes gains, positioning it as the next meme coin poised for a parabolic surge.

https://twitter.com/BTCBULL_TOKEN/status/1888895683555680551

Between each major Bitcoin price milestone and BTC rewards airdrop, $BTCBULL undergoes token burns. These burns reduce supply, increasing scarcity and potentially driving up value, creating a compounding effect alongside Bitcoin’s growth.

Many retail investors assume they need to buy a whole Bitcoin—currently around $97,700—to gain exposure. $BTCBULL challenges this notion by offering an accessible way for anyone to benefit from Bitcoin’s growth, regardless of their budget.

$BTCBULL proves that anyone can own real Bitcoin—no need to be wealthy, an institutional investor, or use a brokerage account. By holding $BTCBULL, investors gain exposure to BTC’s upside and receive real Bitcoin through airdrops over time.

$BTCBULL’s total supply is 21 billion tokens. The BTC supply is 21 million.

Watch Your BTC Airdrops, Rewards, and Staking Yield Grow in Best Wallet

The BTC Bull team has teamed up with Best Wallet to simplify interactions within the $BTCBULL ecosystem. No need for complex Bitcoin wallets or BRC-20 transactions, Best Wallet manages everything seamlessly in the background.

$BTCBULL holders can effortlessly track their rewards within the Best Wallet app. With its multichain support, investors can buy with ETH and receive rewards in BTC.

To receive the BTC rewards, you must hold your $BTCBULL tokens in Best Wallet.

Opportunities to invest in the world’s best-performing asset don’t come often. Since 2009, Bitcoin has delivered an average annual return of 230%, far surpassing stocks, bonds, real estate, gold, and other major asset classes.

Unlike direct Bitcoin holders, $BTCBULL investors earn automatic rewards at every major BTC price milestone, making it a powerful way to maximize gains during the bull run.

Last but not least, you can stake your $BTCBULL to earn passive income. Currently, the annual staking reward stands at 399%, but as more tokens enter the staking pool, the rate will decrease—so staking early ensures higher returns.

BTC Bull Combines Meme Power with Bitcoin’s Brand Strength for Real BTC Earnings

Despite Bitcoin’s dominance, bitcoin-themed meme coins remain scarce—creating a prime opportunity for $BTCBULL to capture this untapped market.

Bitcoin’s brand recognition extends far beyond the crypto space, making it a global phenomenon known to billions.

$BTCBULL capitalizes on Bitcoin’s global appeal by merging meme coin culture with real BTC rewards—setting itself apart from the countless generic meme coins flooding the market daily.

You may ask, “Is the $1 million target realistic?” Absolutely. Despite its volatility, Bitcoin has proven itself as a reliable store of value over the medium to long term, making the $1 million target more achievable than ever.

Why BTC Bull Token Is a Rare Investment Opportunity

With over 15 years of success, Bitcoin is often compared to gold. Even U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell acknowledged its status, stating, “It is like gold, it’s just virtual and digital.”

If Bitcoin, with its $1.94 trillion market cap, reached gold’s $19.67 trillion valuation, its price could climb to approximately $991,000, making the $1 million target increasingly realistic.

Meanwhile, gold continues to break records, recently hitting $2,928 per troy ounce due to strong demand from central banks and retail investors. As economic uncertainty and geopolitical tensions rise, the appeal of safe-haven assets grows, creating a favorable environment for Bitcoin’s long-term potential.

Gold has surged 46% over the past year with no signs of slowing down. It may be entering a long-term bull run, much like Bitcoin. BTC has delivered a 104.7% return in the same period, and as the chart below illustrates, its correlation with gold is strengthening. A coefficient score of 1.0 indicates a perfect positive correlation.

$BTCBULL opens the door to profits in this new era of digital finance.

What Is Your Love Language Og Nganong Mu-matter Siya?

Do you have a friend who would rather go on a trip with her boyfriend than buy him a present? This might be a healthy example on the types of love languages.

We each have our own way of expressing ourselves and giving it to people. Different doesn’t always mean bad and the reason why we sometimes get lost in translation.

Don’t worry, you didn’t mess up, part of being human is communicating differently. Recognizing the way your partner expresses her love and receiving it could lead to a more thoughtful connection and a healthy relationship.

What are the types of love languages?

The art of love languages was first introduced by a marriage counselor named Dr. Gary Chapman in his book “The Five Love Languages”

  • Words of affirmation
  • Quality time
  • Physical touch
  • Acts of service
  • Receiving gifts

Ayaw pud ka discourage kay this article does not only apply to romantic relationships but also for platonic friendships.

Words of Affirmations

The first love language is words of affirmation and it is all about expressing love and affection through words, messages, texts, or all of the above.

The key to using words of affirmation is to express them often and be your authentic self. If you don’t have trouble expressing yourself out loud, you can write it in a note or send a text. Ang importante, imong gi acknowledge ang imong giingon.

Quality Time

The second love language is quality time and it’s precisely what you think: appreciating and spending time together. A person whose love language is quality time may feel loved and appreciated when the people they care about make time with them and their undivided attention.

Physical Touch

The third love language is physical touch. Let’s be clear here, ha. With consent ni siya. The art of physical touch must be appropriate and consensual but this is depending on the situation and the type of relationship that you have with this person.

For people whose love language is physical touch, expressing love and receiving love through physical touch. Touch is how they connect with people and feel connected with people.

Acts of Service

Acts of service is the fourth love language and this one will resonate with you if your actions speak louder than words. This means being selfless, thoughtful things for the other person. You don’t have to be romantic, friends and family can benefit from this too.

Acts of service isn’t about grand gestures but rather thoughtful gestures like pouring coffee or running an errand for your busy friend or loved ones.

Receiving Gifts

This love language is not reserved for the greedy or gold-diggers. For someone whose love language is giving gifts. It goes beyond wanting stuff. It’s all about the thought and the meaning behind the gift. No need to break the bank when buying a gift for someone.

Showing love through gifts isn’t about extravagance but to show the other person that we remembered them and loved them. It can be a small memento and it can be appreciated because whether it is big or small, a gift is a tangible reminder.

Chasing Change with Regal Oliva: Travel, Taxes, & Tolerance

Cebu is my home; my intent to return…

Attorney Regal Oliva is not your typical lawyer—she’s a self-proclaimed homebody with a vision for a brighter, more transparent future for her country.

Cut! Cut! Cut!

The name “Regal” perfectly suits Attorney Oliva, who welcomed us into her home with warmth and charm. From her perfectly styled hair to her inviting smile, she instantly put us at ease. With a motherly presence that assured us we were in good hands, she kicked off the interview with laughter, playfully declaring “CUTI!” as the cameras rolled.

She describes her style as eclectic—not strictly modern or old-school, but rather a joyful mix of what resonates with her. As I looked around her home, I was captivated by her art pieces, which I initially thought were custom works. It turns out they were created by her! An artist herself, she has painted several canvases, making her one of the most passionate advocates for art in leadership.

Loves to Travel, but Definitely a Homebody

The warmth of Attorney Oliva’s home reflects her preference for a peaceful life spent indoors, often with a cup of coffee in hand. However, when asked about her favorite spots in Cebu, she excitedly shared a few favorites. For Indian cuisine, she enjoys visiting Banilad, and for Japanese food, she heads to A.S. Fortuna. She also loves exploring the city for local delicacies, such as the best soup at AA’s, Sutukil in Lapu-Lapu, and the delicious lechon in Talisay.

“Cebu has everything!” she exclaimed. “It may be a small city or a bustling metropolis, but if you want to escape urban life, you can reach the mountains or the beach in just a few minutes—traffic permitting, of course. You can find the best of both urban and suburban life right here in Cebu.”

When asked where she would take visitors in Cebu, she thought for a moment before replying, “There are so many places to explore! It really depends on the vibe. If my friends come over, my home would be the perfect spot to hang out. But for the younger crowd, I always ask what they’re into. Some of my friends enjoy the club scene, but that’s not really my thing. I’d probably say no to all the partying!”

The Secrets of Parenting the New Gen

Attorney Oliva is a devoted parent to children who, with the unwavering love and support of her family, seems to have the world at their fingertips. She shared some amusing stories from her past, recalling how her sisters used to sneak out at night to hit the bars while she and her brother slept peacefully at home. “I think my daughter inherited that spirit. She loves the club scene! So, when she asks for permission to go out, I often say yes, while my sister chimes in with a firm ‘No, ayaw sugti!’”

Attorney Oliva emphasizes the importance of allowing children to explore and learn from their own experiences, especially in today’s world where they have access to numerous spaces for self-expression and discovery. “The more you grasp the sand, the more it slips away! I’m a liberal parent,” she shared, highlighting her belief in fostering independence in her children.

A Voice for Inclusivity

Attorney Oliva is a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and passionately advocates for inclusivity. “Inclusivity is crucial—not just for the LGBTQIA+ community, but for women, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and anyone who has faced discrimination,” she asserted.

Drawing from her experiences, she acknowledged the slow march toward equality. “It took generations for women to gain equal footing, and for the LGBTQIA+ community, we still have much work to do,” she reflected.

Attorney Oliva believes that advocating for inclusivity should be about listening and fostering safe spaces for dialogue. “If they don’t listen, sometimes you need to step back and let silence convey your message,” she advised. She highlighted her work in Mandaue City, creating communities where marginalized voices can thrive and laws protect the marginalized against discrimination.

“Laws provide fear and also encouragement, but when it comes to discrimination, it gives fear to not discriminate, to avoid doing so in order to have a better and more accepted part of society.”

Attorney Regal Oliva

In her own home, Oliva reminds her children to not be dictated by the community, especially in what you wear. “Live the way you want to live, dress the way you want to dress.”

Recalling an incident from her master’s program, Oliva shared that she was prohibited from wearing heels at school, despite the uniform rules not explicitly stating that only women could wear them. She faced scrutiny, but it did not stop her. She continued to fight for her right to express herself until she completed her degree. Years later, the same university passed a policy on inclusivity, and that single act of self-expression ultimately empowered future students to embrace their freedom both inside and outside the university halls.

On Debt and Good Governance

Mandaue City ranks second in the Philippines in terms of collection for local revenue sources and is the richest city outside Manila in terms of assets and equity.

“It’s not something you do alone; it’s not a one-person job,” Oliva emphasized. She highlighted the importance of a strong, supportive community in the city’s success. “It takes a village to build communities, and it takes a city to build Mandaue.”

Through effective collaboration with local governing units and the city council, Attorney Oliva has helped Mandaue thrive. She stressed the necessity of alignment between the executive and legislative branches to achieve a shared vision for the city.

Building a successful city comes with its challenges, especially regarding taxes. “Taxes can feel like a burden,” Oliva acknowledged. “They’re not easy to pay because their benefits aren’t always immediate. But think about it: the security you feel at night, the transportation you use, the accessible roads—these are all funded by your taxes. That’s why it’s crucial to pay taxes correctly and consistently, so we can invest in infrastructure, social services, and other community needs.”

When discussing debt, Oliva offered an insightful perspective: “Debt is important.” She explained that managing debt effectively can help cities reach their goals. Timely payments enhance a city’s credibility with credit facilities, and Mandaue currently has a credit facility of around 5.2 billion pesos.

Managing Debt for a Thriving City

To support major projects, such as the planned government center at CICC, Oliva and the local government unit (LGU) needed to borrow 3 billion pesos. However, it’s crucial to understand how to manage and repay this debt effectively. A key strategy involves forming partnerships with other ventures, like Gaisano and Taft Properties. Payments from these partnerships can be used to offset the debt, benefiting both the citizens of Mandaue and the city itself.

“Don’t use taxpayers’ money to pay off debt,” Oliva cautioned, explaining that this approach could divert funds away from community improvement and toward merely servicing debt.

Proper fund management and community involvement are essential. “If funds are not managed wisely, it can lead to inefficient use of taxpayer money and increased debt,” she said. “Instead of directing taxes toward education, infrastructure, military, and social services, they may end up being used solely to cover debts.”

In her view, Congress holds the “power of the purse,” and it is crucial to ensure that this power is used responsibly by the executive branch.

Oliva emphasized that success requires a collective effort. “It’s important to have checks and balances,” she stated. “While I serve as the financial manager, I rely on accountants and other professionals to provide oversight. Sometimes, if you’re overly creative or ambitious, you need someone to say, ‘Stop.’ It’s about finding balance and knowing when to compromise.”

Ultimately, teamwork and prudent management are vital for Mandaue’s financial health and community well-being.

Embracing Technology for Transparency

Technology is essential, and Mandaue is fully embracing it to enhance transparency. To keep taxpayers informed, the LGU moved all financial transactions online; with fewer people handling the money, the chances for corruption decrease significantly.

“Our mission has always centered on good governance, accountability, and transparency, which is why I strongly advocate for the digitalization of Mandaue City,” Oliva explained.

Many people hesitate to pay taxes due to a perception of government corruption. To combat this, Oliva believes in leveraging digital solutions. While no system is completely immune to corruption, Mandaue saw a 60% increase in revenue after implementing computerization in 2010.

“I’m not suggesting that technology will replace governance,” she added. “While AI is becoming increasingly relevant, I support any measures that help reduce corruption and the temptation for dishonest behavior.”

The shift to digital systems has fostered greater transparency and accountability. Now, it’s easy to track who is accessing the system and handling transactions.

Oliva emphasizes the importance of a governing body that prioritizes honesty. “I’ve learned that true acceptance of oneself comes from being honest. If you lie, you risk losing sight of the truth.”

In a political landscape often filled with false promises, Oliva remains committed to authenticity. “You can’t promise blue skies when storms are on the horizon,” she asserted.

Today’s generation values honesty and integrity, even when it’s difficult. Oliva sees this commitment to truth as a foundation for a more inclusive and free future.

A Better Candidate for the Future

At her core, Attorney Oliva sees herself as just a simple person who cherishes quiet moments at home. She admits that the election process has been exhausting, as political life isn’t her ideal. However, with the support of her team, she manages the demands of the campaign while maintaining her commitment to honesty.

When asked about her strengths compared to her opponents, she responded humbly, “I have a strong opponent, and I don’t want to downplay that. But I believe that, in this election, I’m presenting a better candidate.”

CSP Travel and Tours and Rinoa Hair Salon Bring Smiles to Cebu’s Children

Beyond tourism, businesses have the power to make a lasting impact on local communities. Recognizing this, CSP Travel and Tours, in partnership with Rinoa Hair Salon, recently organized a heartfelt outreach program to extend support to underprivileged children in Cebu.

A Day of Compassion and Care

On April 23, 2024, the teams from CSP Travel and Tours and Rinoa Hair Salon visited two key locations: the dumpsite community in Bangkal, Lapu-Lapu City, and the SOS Children’s Village in Talamban.

At the Bangkal dumpsite, where many families face daily struggles, children received free haircuts, giving them not just a fresh look but also a sense of confidence and dignity. Meanwhile, at the SOS Children’s Village, a home for orphaned and abandoned children, the initiative was met with warm smiles and appreciation.

This simple yet meaningful act reinforced the belief that small gestures of kindness can bring joy to those who need it most.

Strengthening Community Bonds

The initiative was spearheaded by Mr. Ryo Tsuchiya, the leader of CSP Travel and Tours, who emphasized the importance of giving back to the local community. Partnering with Rinoa Hair Salon, a Japanese-managed salon in Cebu, the event ensured that each child received professional hairstyling services with care and attention.

By collaborating with local businesses and organizations, CSP Travel and Tours extends its commitment beyond tourism, showing that companies can contribute positively to the communities they operate in.

A Commitment Beyond Travel

While CSP Travel and Tours is known for providing premium travel experiences for Japanese tourists, this initiative reflects the company’s dedication to corporate social responsibility (CSR). Supporting local communities, children, and sustainable initiatives remains an essential part of their mission.

Turning 40 and Beyond? It’s Time for a Lifestyle Check Up

How do we grow old gracefully?

People are living older than ever, but for many, getting older can come with an increased risk of health conditions. The question has now become: how can we extend our lifespan and live those extra years?

The oldest millennial celebrates a milestone when they turn forty. However, this is also the chapter in your life where you take health screenings seriously. There’s no one-size-fits-all when getting such, even though it is aimed for the general population. Always consult your primary care doctor to see which health screening fits you best with your condition.

Nutrition

Proper nutrition comes with special perks for people of certain ages. Loading your plate with the right food that can help with brain health, muscle health, and skin support for aging gracefully.

Here are some nutrients that can help you with your longevity:

  • B vitamins
  • Magnesium
  • Vitamin D
  • Protein

B Vitamins

B vitamin deficiency may link to cardiovascular conditions, neurological conditions, and osteoporosis in older adults.

Food that are rich in B vitamins:

  • Meat
  • Dairy
  • Seafood
  • Leafy greens
  • Whole grains

Note: they are also common as supplements.

Magnesium

The older you get, the harder it is for your body to absorb magnesium. It’s important that you have enough of these nutrients. A 2021 review showed a link between low magnesium and conditions like heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, hypertension, and stroke.

Food that contain magnesium:

  • Spinach
  • Avocado
  • Dark chocolate
  • Beans
  • Nuts

Vitamin D

Vitamin D may hold promise for age-related health conditions like a higher risk of autoimmune disorders and low immune functions. You can pull more D into your diet through foods like fortified milk or mushrooms. You can ask your doctor for supplementation.

Protein

Protein may always be a critical nutrient. Muscle mass usually declines when you get older. Protein recommendations are higher than other populations.

Balance your hormones

Changing hormones can lead to emotional and physical changes, especially in people assigned female at birth. Hormones can affect focus, sleep, blood pressure, and other aspects of wellness. Starting now, consider an annual physical to check your hormone levels, allowing you and your doctor to course-correct them if necessary.

Practice prevention

Prevention is better than a cure. You can incorporate healthy lifestyle practices that can see you into your later years with greater strength, energy, and brain health. What are the three areas to focus on? Exercise, mental fitness, and sound asleep.

Exercise

You don’t have to run a marathon at 70 to stay physically fit.

A study in 2022 found that even extremely short bouts of intense exercise performed three to four times a day reduced deaths from any cause. Here’s a tip: find an exercise that you genuinely enjoy and make it a habit.

Mental Fitness

Staying mentally active is part of the deal. Picking up a hobby, reading a book, and playing games of strategy that will keep your mind sharp.

Sleep

Having a goodnight sleep can impact your health. A 2023 study involving around 172,000 people, people with a high quality sleep schedule live significantly longer: 4.7 years and 2.4 years for women. For a goodnight sleep, try sticking to a regular sleep routine, no heavy caffeine and alcohol. Devices must be off before bed.

Contact The Specialist

In addition to attending regular appointments with your primary care doctor, now it’s time for you to consult with other specialists, too. Depending on your medical history and family medical history, it may be important to consult other doctors frequently.

Risk Factors

Always monitor the risk factors, talk with your doctor and what can be avoided. It’s also good to gather your family history, so your doctor can look at it accordingly. Even if you kept tabs on your family medical history or blood work in the past, certain blood markers can paint the big picture of your health.

There is no miracle elixir or potion that will make you age gracefully but taking certain steps to live a better and healthier life can boost life satisfaction. We all want to live long and make more memories here on Earth with the people we love dearly and the purpose that life gives us.
