HOW TO GET THERE?

BY CAR/PRIVATE VEHICLE: Navigate with Waze or Google Maps and set your destination to “Emerald Resort” in Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu. This is the closest landmark to Pyramid Ocean View. Before the turn to Pyramid Ocean View, there is Victory Chapel Christian Center which is immediately followed by the sign “Ronie’s Pyramid Beach.” Enter this road and drive straight to the beach.

Be sure to contact the owner of the resort beforehand before going to Lapu-Lapu. If you are unsure where you are going, contact the owner again to help you find your way to the resort.

Cebu City will be officially hosting Palarong Pambansa 2024

Palarong Pambansa comes back to Cebu!

The Palarong Pambansa, the Philippines’ largest sports event for student-athletes, is returning to Cebu City after 28 years! The local government has already begun extensive planning to make 2024 hosting memorable for all participants.

Mayor Michael Rama has organized a technical working committee to monitor the preparations. The team is led by businessman and sports journalist John Pages and includes Cebu City Hall officials.

“We are so happy and blessed to announce that next year in July, 12,000 athletes and over 25,000 visitors will come to Cebu City for the Palarong Pambansa 2024,”

Cebu City was awarded the hosting rights for the Palarong Pambansa 2024 on Friday, August 4, after beating out Antique and Negros Occidental.

The city’s bid was praised by businessman and sports columnist John Pages, who cited the all-out support of Mayor Michael Rama and the help of regional director of the Department of Education (DepEd) Salustiano Jimenez.

Rama has stated that he wants to host the Palarong Pambansa and says it would be an excellent chance to highlight Cebu City’s top-notch sporting infrastructure and love of sports. On the other hand, Jimenez assisted the bid team from the city in submitting their proposal to the DepEd central office.

The Palarong Pambansa offers the best young athletes in the Philippines the opportunity to compete against one another and display their abilities. Additionally, it is an opportunity for the country to unite and celebrate the power of sports.

Cebu City is ready to welcome the Palarong Pambansa with open arms. We can’t wait to see all the amazing athletes compete next year!

Netflix’s Zombiverse puts a twist on survival game shows. The participants need to survive a simulation of a zombie apocalypse. They need to do what they can to survive and avoid getting bitten. 

The contestants are made up of famous comedians, singers, and celebrities in South Korea. What makes the game show different is that the simulation is the same as that of a zombie blockbuster film. From the zombie makeup, acting, and gore effects, Zombieverse absolutely nails it.

Asian people believe that during this month, spirits will roam freely as they look for appeasement. The ghosts look for food and prayers, and some even look for trouble, which leads to bad luck.

Ghost Month is celebrated to honor the spirits and to show respect to those who have passed. During the whole month, there are different rituals, performances, and offerings.

What if you receive a million cash by mistake from someone? Would you still return it to its rightful owner? Or keep it by yourself.

In an unexpected turn of events, a man in Hungary thought he had hit the jackpot when he was accidentally paid 367 times his salary. But his good fortune quickly turned to misfortune when he refused to return the money and was subsequently arrested.

The unnamed individual was a temporary employee at a business in Kaposvár City. According to his contract, he was entitled to get 92,549 HUF (around P14,000) each month, but his employer failed to convert it into euros. The receiver kept it when his company unintentionally placed 92,549 euros (P5.7 million) into his Austrian account.

Quickly realizing what had happened, the employer contacted the man and asked him to reimburse the money. The man objected and said he couldn’t access his bank account.

The Kaposvár District Prosecutor’s Office investigated the incident and discovered that the person in question had taken a sizeable sum of money out of his account and moved it to another account. The man was then detained and accused of illegal appropriation. During the trial period, he was also terminated from his employment. With the assistance of the Kaposvár District Prosecutor’s Office, the company was able to freeze his bank account and recover 28 million HUF.

This incident serves as a reminder of the need to review your bank statements adequately. It is a gentle reminder to be truthful and return any enormous sums of money to their proper owners if you’re fortunate enough to come into them. Otherwise, you could end up in jail… or worse, you could become the laughingstock of the internet.

The Mabuhay Lounge sports a blue, white, and brown interior with wooden accents that elevate a homey and sleek vibe. There are also multiple Cassette air conditioners to ensure a cool environment. 

In terms of comfort and convenience, the new lounge is fully equipped with plush chairs with alternating light blue and cerulean colors. Not only that, but there are also multiple charging ports everywhere. Guests can also eat their meals, courtesy of the Mabuhay Lounge, comfortably since tables and chairs are provided.

Passengers can relax, drink coffee, eat good food, and charge their phones while waiting to board the aircraft.
