World Health says drinking alcohol would make you more vulnerable to Coronavirus

Contrary to what most have believed, drinking alcohol would actually make you vulnerable to Coronavirus.

Unlike the trending post about how alcohol could protect you from the pandemic, the World Health Organization (WHO) says otherwise. As a matter of fact, WHO wants to keep your alcoholic beverages in your cupboards for later.

“Alcohol consumption is associated with a range of communicable and noncommunicable diseases and mental health disorders, which can make a person more vulnerable to COVID-19,”

– World Health Organization

“In particular, alcohol compromises the body’s immune system and increases the risk of adverse health outcomes. Therefore, people should minimize their alcohol consumption at any time, and particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic,”

Safe to say, alcoholic beverages couldn’t save you from this pandemic, unlike ethyl / isopropyl alcohol.

Better to hold your horses and do the feasting once this is all over.
