Who would have thought that the alleged mastermind of the recent pawnshop heist in Cebu would pass the recent bar exam? Jigger Geverola is now closer to his dream of being a lawyer, but behind bars?
Jiggy is said to have been the mastermind of the pawnshop robbery that happened in Cebu in broad daylight. He is also reportedly an employee of a Cebu Provincial Board member.
Geverola finished law school in 2020 and took the bar exam this year, where he passed.
Surprisingly, Jiggy is not new to being behind bars. He faced murder and arson charges in 2001 and was apprehended in 2004.
Moreover, Geverola’s lawyer Oath’s taking and signing the Roll of Attorneys will have possible delays due to his current situation.
Michael Francis Hubahib, lawyer and president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Cebu Chapter, said that a lawyer must be able to prove that he has the right intellectual and moral capabilities.
