COVID-19 mask shortages leave people with makeshift solutions.
One concrete example is RHIPSTOP, a passion project inspired by the Cebuano culture. Aptly inspired by our culture, Rhipstop has decided to give back to the community.
With the lack of proper masks to aid the Cebuanos in fighting the virus, Rhipstop has been sewing more than 2000 face masks to not put Cebuanos’ lives at risk.
Rhipstop has been going around the metro giving energy drinks, ethyl alcohol, and cotton masks to the Cebuanos who couldn’t work from home, especially our frontliners.
It’s elating to know that these local businesses have also contributed to help flatten the curve. You too can help. Today, right now. You can do something to help others. People of all ages and walks of life are diving in to make a difference.
Stay indoors to help lessen the spread of the virus. Unless necessary, stay with your family in your humble abode. Keep yourselves safe from this pandemic. Save the world.
