Cebu City records 36 new cases, 8 recoveries on sixth day of GCQ

On its sixth day under general community quarantine (GCQ), Cebu City has recorded 36 new COVID-19 cases, 8 new recoveries, and no new death.

Below is the breakdown of the new cases:

  • Sawang – 2
  • Sto nino – 3
  • Bulacao – 5
  • Tinago – 1
  • Suba – 2
  • Quiot – 1
  • Sambag-2 – 5
  • Basac San Nicolas – 1
  • Inayawan – 2
  • Tejero – 1
  • Lahug – 1
  • Calamba – 2
  • Cogon Pardo – 2
  • Day-as – 1
  • Sambag-1 – 1
  • T. Padilla – 1
  • Labangon – 1
  • Mabolo – 1
  • Pahina Central – 3

As of June 6, 2020, Cebu City now has a total of 2,618 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 1,565 recoveries and 31 deaths.

Although its number of cases is high, Cebu City still has the lowest death rate (below 1.5%) in the Philippines compared to the City of Manila at 8.28% and global average at 6.4%.
