Sugbu turns 2: The BIGGEST Selfie Contest in Cebu

TODAY, 5 October 2016, marks the 2nd anniversary of SUGBU.PH — the fastest rising Cebu-focused online community of today and everyone’s favorite go-to online blog on everything Cebu.

HOW TO JOIN?

STEP 1:

Once you’ve liked ALL 6 pages, proceed to step 2.

STEP 2:

Follow us on Instagram or Twitter: Instagram @SugbuPH / Twitter @SugbuPH

STEP 3:

Print the image below in a paper of any size or type. Or, save the image on your phone and display it when taking a selfie (make sure it is on landscape orientation).

STEP 4:

Take a selfie with the printed image with your friends, family or relatives (at least one) in your favorite spot or tambayan in Cebu. Pwede sa office, sa balay, malls, parks, anywhere. Just be creative.

STEP 5:

• Upload the selfie photo on your Facebook profile.
• In your caption, tell us where is your favorite spot or tambayan in Cebu with the hashtags #SugbuTurns2 #SugbuPH. Can be in English or Bisaya.
• Make sure the privacy setting is set to public.
• Tag Sugbu to make sure we can see your photo.

Deadline of entries is on October 31, 2016. Likes count is until November 4, 2016 at 11:59PM. Winners will be announced on November 12, 2016.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Don’t try to skip any step. Before we announce the winner, Sugbu will religiously check if you’ve completed all the steps. Otherwise, we will choose another winner.

HOW DO WE PICK THE WINNERS?

We will pick the TOP 10 Best Selfies according to the criteria for judging below:

• Creativity & Originality – 40%
• Likes – 30%
• Caption – 20%
• Overall impact – 10%
         TOTAL: 100%

We strongly recommend to submit entries the soonest possible so you have ample time to share your entry and gain likes.

• TOP 1 will get to choose:
  (a) an overnight stay at Maonanik Beach Resort worth 10,000 (good for 30pax with 3 rooms)
  (b) an overnight stay at Cuarto Hotels with breakfast for 2

• TOP 2 will get the other overnight stay not chosen by Top 1
• TOP 3-5 – Lunch Buffet for 2 at Sugbufé
• TOP 6 – P600 worth of GCs for 2 at Serendipity Spa (P300 each)
• TOP 7-8 – Breakfast Buffet for 2 at Cuarto Hotels
• TOP 9-10 – Merienda Buffet for 2 at Sugbufé

Two of the best selfies will win an overnight stay at Maonanik Beach Resort and Cuarto Hotels.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. This is open for Cebu residents only. Locals or foreigners, as long as you are now residing in Cebu, then you are welcome to join.
2. Overnight stay at Maonanik Beach Resort must be booked 1-2 weeks prior to the booking dates which must not fall on a weekend or a holiday.
3. Overnight stay at Cuarto Hotels must be booked 1-2 weeks prior to the booking dates. Holidays and weekends are okay as long as the dates are available.
4. Sugbufe GCs should be used on or before November 30, 2016.
5. Winners are REQUIRED to post a Thank You message on their Facebook profiles for Sugbu and the sponsors. The winner will then be messaged to schedule pick-up of the prize.
6. Deadline of entries is on October 31, 2016. Likes count is until November 4, 2016 at 11:59PM. Winners will be announced on November 12, 2016. Sugbu has the right to extend the deadline of entries if the expected number of submissions is met. Hence, the announcement of winners can also be changed anytime.
