Missing Filemon & Max Surban: ”WE LOVE OUR TITSER”

I’m guilty because i always say I like being identified as a Cebuana but I have not heard of their music at all. I wish them all the best in their music tours and hope that the mainstream public would learn to appreciate them.

Good ol’ days with classical Cebuano hits. We still play it to this day around early in the morning when my father gets ready for work. Haha. I’m really a huge fan of Max Surban, but unfortunately I was too jampacked that day I wasn’t able to come. :(

Wow good to see Mr. Max still kicking and jamming with the new generation. Their music are fun and really connects to the Visayan culture. Wishing all the best for local music! :)

waah grew up listening to their songs because my father was a fan! Every ealry morning my papa would always play this song Turagsoy haha! Siaw bya kau paminawn lol!

It’s good to know these Cebuano singers are still making waves in the local music scene. Talk about longevity. It’s hard to compete with OPMs and foreign songs, but I’m glad and very appreciative of these local talents.

Ahh I wish I was able to attend this but I had work! Maybe next time!

That was a great event! There songs are still magical! Nothing will defeat those native songs! I can even remember my grandfather here. He used to listen to these songs and now it can also be enjoyed by young generations. :)

This old meets new meets old album concept is also interesting! Both veteran and young artists should work together to preserve and local music!

I agree with Rea. It’s great that this type of music is still alive and we the new generation should keep it that way.

Interesting! I might have heard their songs before from my father. It’s so nice to know that they still continue to produce songs despite the new generation’s type of music nowadays.

I used to scowl at my Dad every time he plays Max Surban and Yoyoy songs when I was a kid. Haha. But listening to it now makes me kinda proud that we have artists like them because they truly highlight Visayan music.

Interesting album. I grew up listening to Max and Yoyoy. It’s a good thing that the young artists doing some collaborations with the “masters”. ;)
