The Last Mercury Retrograde Ended—Bringing A Positive Shift To These Zodiac Signs. Here’s how?

0

At last, the retrogade is over, for now…

Every zodiac sign has experienced a paradigm shift when Mercury went direct, but these three zodiacs had been given a great cosmic blessing.

The last mercury retrograde for this year bid its farewell last December 15, 2024! The planet of communication has been throwing a ton of curveballs—messing with our timelines, decision-making, and even our critical thinking skills. The retrograde blues are finally over and it is time to embrace fresh positive energy and clarity.

Here are the three zodiacs who will receive cosmic blessings as Mercury Retrograde will end today:

Gemini: Relationship Revelations

The Mercury Retrograde is finally ending at this time of the month, Gemini feels a sense of relief since the retrograde shook up their relationships, teaching them important lessons about reliability, boundaries, and how they connect with others, whether romantically or socially.

The Mercury Retrograde is over, Gemini is ready to explore the new ideas and desires in their relationships, love, romance, friendships or family. The social butterfly energy that they have is being renewed and they’re stepping into a new chapter with better decisions about who they spend time with and how they relate to others.

Sagittarius: Self-Acceptance

With Mercury retrograde ending, Sagittarius gains clarity about their life path. The retrograde period stirred up challenges, but now the fog has lifted, and they’re ready to focus on self-acceptance. This signs looks at their future with a clearer perspective, ready to heal old patterns and make decisions that align with their higher self’s potential.

Capricorn: Trusting Yourself

Mercury retrograde may have brought many repressed emotions for this zodiac sign, leaving them feeling isolated, confused, or lost at times. With its ending, this sign can finally breathe easier. It’s time to release self-sabotage, stop ignoring their institution, and focus on internal fulfillment instead of seeking external validation.

Domex Cleans What Others Can’t: The Best Tool for Stubborn Limescale

A toilet and cleaning supplies on shelves

Help keep your bathroom sparkly clean by using this specialized solution against pesky stains

From taking care of family members to making sure every inch of living space is sparkling clean, homemakers are truly today’s modern heroes. However, germ accumulations and stain buildups that require potent cleaning solutions present a challenge to moms and homemakers.

These problems become more apparent when cleaning the dirtiest part of Filipino homes—the toilet, which is very vulnerable to develop yellowish stains over time.

These yellow circles inside toilets are called limescales. These often appear in toilets and are commonly caused by hard water sources, which are rich in calcium, magnesium, and other minerals.

Once hard water enters the toilet, it leaves deposits of limescale in the toilet and other places. The discoloration worsens when waste dirt and germs build up.

They are common in communities across the Visayas and Mindanao, because most Philippine provinces source their water supplies from the ground that accumulates mineral deposits causing limescale.

To help Filipino homemakers manage limescale, Unilever developed a specialized solution, the Domex Stain and Limescale Toilet Bowl Cleaner. It is formulated with hydrochloric acid to help deal with limescale.

The product was highlighted at an exclusive media event organized by Unilever Domex in Mactan, Cebu. While demonstrating the power of the product on a stained tile, Unilever Homecare Research and Development CTI Assistant Manager Lorena Miranda shared, “Much like the other products in the Domex line, the Stain and Limescale can fight against limescale and kills 99.9% of germs based on lab test on representative bacteria and help make it sparkling clean.”

During the event, Domex also celebrated the dedication of homemakers who go the extra mile for their families in all aspects. This was highlighted in a forum segment featuring Cebuano mommy influencers who shared their concerns when it comes to limescale and their tips in dealing with it. Popular Content Creators like Pamilya Abilla and Team Uyseco also graced the event.

During the forum, Mompreneur Malaya Macaraeg-Delantar shared that being married made her start using cleaning alternatives because it seemed more practical. “I thought those alternatives I was using helped me save time, money, and energy but it turns out to be the opposite. I realized from the presentation earlier that I need to switch back to using Domex!”

Danieca Goc-ong (aka content creator, DanVibes) also shared how she first tried Domex because her mom recommended it. “She always loved cleaning that’s why she advised me not to settle for general solutions when it comes to cleaning. I remember being surprised when I first tried Domex because it made my cleaning quick and easy!”

Unilever Domex Brand Manager and Homecare Digital Lead, Nicole Villavicencio, raised a toast, thanking homemakers for their dedication to maintaining safe, nurturing, and clean homes for their loved ones. “We appreciate and recognize all of our homemakers for the unstoppable efforts to make their house a home. With Domex, trust that in the years to come, we are with you in keeping your homes safe and clean.”

Everything that you do to make our lives sparkle is truly a labor of love. Your ability to effortlessly carry on with your countless errands while keeping the family comfortable and healthy is nothing short of remarkable.”

Fights limescale build-up and keep bathrooms and homes sparkling clean with Domex Stain and Limescale Toilet Bowl Cleaner. Domex is also available in Ultra Thick Bleach and All-Purpose Cleaner variants that are available in all leading supermarkets.

MAJOR CATEGORIES IN iPak

iPak has two major divisions: Flexible Packaging and Rigid Packaging

Flexible packaging is made from elastic, non-rigid materials, allowing it to be transformed  into various shapes to accommodate different products. This packaging type provides  excellent protection against moisture, light, and oxygen, which extends the shelf life of  perishable items, especially in the food industry that requires extra care to maintain  freshness.

Flexible packaging options include:

  • Cap seals and Labels
  • Bottom sealed PE bag (Plain or Printed)
  • Center sealed bag (with gusset options)
  • Four-side sealed bag
  • Stand-up pouches (with or without ziplock)
  • Roll forms, single sheets, and more.
  • PE Collation Shrink Film
  • PE Trash bag (clear or colored)

Rigid packaging is sturdy and inflexible, maintaining its shape even when empty. This type  of packaging provides strong structural integrity and protection, making it suitable for items  like food, beverages, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, medicines, and fragile or premium products. Rigid packaging options include materials like glass, hard plastics, metals, and  paper board.

This unit is divided into two main plants: Houseware and Thermoform Products

Houseware Plastic Product Plant: Manufactures plastic items such as  microwavable containers, bottle caps, water jugs, and plastic pails.

Thermoforming Product Plant: Specializes in thermoformed items like clamshells  and trays, which are commonly used in food packaging, electronics, and other  consumer goods.

Beyond its in-house products, iPak partners with other suppliers to offer a complete  portfolio, including fiberform, specialty flexible products, boxes, tincans and more,  reinforcing its commitment to being the best partner in packaging solutions.

WHAT SETS iPAK APART?

The Packaging Division of Treasure Island Industrial Corporation stands out in the market  by offering a diverse range of high-quality packaging products for both domestic and  international clients across various industries, including food and beverage, healthcare,  pet care, personal care, and industrial or chemical sectors.

• A strategically positioned Sales team across key cities nationwide, making their  services accessible and responsive.

• An in-house graphics team that helps customers with packaging design and layout,  adding value beyond just product manufacturing.

• A Production and Quality team committed to a “Right the First Time” standard,  ensuring that every product meets stringent quality expectations.

The plant maintains high manufacturing standards as it adheres to the requirement of ISO  9001:2015, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical  Control Points), and HALAL systems.

Best-Sellers

Their core business is manufacturing Flexible packaging, supplying some of the market’s  leading brands. Their own brand, iPak, is well-recognized for houseware and thermoform  products such as microwavable food container, water containers, trash bags, clamshells,  trays and more.

  • In 1994, it started its production of houseware products.

Hiker’s Dream: Here Are Five Most Challenging Mountain Peaks in Cebu

Tara, hike ta, Sugboanons!

Photos by John Vincent Sande

Here are the five most challenging mountain peaks in Cebu! Well, doesn’t that sound like a hiker’s dream, however trend napud ron na daghan ma aksidente tungod sa hiking as Cebu is prone to many geological hazards like landslides, floods, typhoons, and earthquakes. Fear not, we are going to feature five mountain peaks that can satisfy your lust and insatiable craving for scenic mountains where you can create more memories with your friends with many more thrills and giggles while hiking.

What are you waiting for? Here are the five most dangerous mountain peaks in Cebu:

Mount Mauyog

Photos by John Vincent Sande

Mountain trekking is one of our favorite hobbies as Cebuanos, even though our mountains do not reach the 1,000 meter height, it doesn’t mean that our mountains are not as magnificent. There’s a unique magic to them, Mount Mauyog is one of them. Not only does it boast its brain-like formation, but it also offers a mind-blowing heart pumping climb. This makes things even better, it has a refreshing mountain breeze that gives you a soothing quick escape from the busy life of the city. The only sad part is that it comes with a hefty guide fee.

Photos by John Vincent Sande

Mount Mauyog maintains to be one of the popular tourist destinations in Balamban, while various peaks like Mt Manunggal are also located in this province. However, Mount Mauyog is not for the likes of beginners, it is a test of endurance. Experienced trekkers may struggle due to the steep and narrow path but it depends on your level of preparedness as well as the gear needed to trek.

Photos by John Vincent Sande

How To Get There?

  • From Ayala Cebu Terminal: Take a v-hire ride bound to Balamban, don’t forget to tell the driver to drop you off at crossing or jump off to Brgy. Sunog, Balamban.
  • Habal-Habal: From Crossing to Brgy Sunog, take a habal habal ride bound to Mount Mauyog. Don’t forget to tell your driver to drop you off at the Mount Mauyog starting point to drop you off at the starting point to register for your safety.

Casino Peak

Photos from Aizel G. Veerman

A fan favorite than the neighboring mountain Osmeña Peak — This is Casino Peak. As you reach the top of the mountain, you’ll get to feast your eyes on the ethereal sight that will remind you of Bohol’s scenic topography. Hikers will also enjoy the panorama of Tañon Strait and Badian.

Photos from Aizel G. Veerman

The trek up Casino Peak from the information center is actually very short and hardly considered a trek in my opinion. The total trekking time to reach the summit is ten minutes although it is pretty steep. The track is clear but it is not marked at all.

Photos from Aizel G. Veerman

How To Get There?

  • Habal Habal: Ride a habal habal that can take you to Sitio Lugsangan where Casino Peak is located after arriving at Mantalongon Public market. The habal habal ride can cost you fifty pesos per person per ride but there are some who will charge you with seventy pesos per person per ride. The travel time is 15-20 minutes.
  • Bus: You can ride the direct bus to Mantalongon in Dalaguete at Carbon. Transit time is roughly 2.5 minutes and bus fare is ₱120.

Mount Kapayas

Photo by Ma Stella Aranco Sumayang

Mount Kapayas is the second highest mountain in Cebu and it is never easy to climb. Also known as the Lantawan Peak, the mountain is located in Catmon, the northern part of the Cebu Province. It is one of the biodiversity areas in Cebu, therefore it is protected by the local government and residents.

Photo by Ma Stella Aranco Sumayang

Here’s an important note: before climbing, you need to hire a guide and secure a permit from the municipality and register at the police station. This is for the sake of your safety and also to facilitate the rescue efforts in case of emergencies.

Photo by Ma Stella Aranco Sumayang

How To Get There?

  • By Bus: Buses from the North Terminal in Cebu City head to Catmon and the travel time takes around two hours to reach the municipality.
  • By Habal Habal: Ride a habal habal going to the jump off point which will take you an hour

Mount New Bucao

Head to Mount New Bucao and indulge in the spellbinding views of Malubog Lake. Like its neighboring mountain, Mount Tagaytay, it is relatively new and unknown to a very few riders and travelers visiting this peak. You’ll be able to enjoy the ambiance and enjoy the wonderful view without the queues of travelers waiting for their turn.

The actual trail to the mountains starts easy but eventually, the path becomes steeper and more challenging especially during the rainy season. The hike is not for the faint of heart, but once you finally reach the summit, it’s worth it.

How To Get There?

  • By Bus: Ride a bus from South Bus Terminal going to Toledo and get dropped off at Julie’s Bakeshop in Barangay Magdugo.
  • By Habal Habal: From there, ride a habal habal to Manutu River. There are also jeepneys from Toledo City to Barangay Casoy.

Bocaue Peak

You don’t need to drive far away from the city to experience a wonderful hiking trail in Cebu. Boncaue Peak is located in Bonbon, Cebu City and it is one of the most accessible hiking spots in the city. However, unlike the easy drive, it is even trickier to go up the peak. The challenge might mean nothing but what’s waiting for at the top is a 360-degree panorama of the view of the city and its surrounding mountains.

Most people don’t like to be lost on a hiking trail, but the inevitable will always happen and that makes us feel a little helpless and vulnerable. But getting lost can sometimes lead you to the most unexpected destinations, an exciting character-building adventure.and we learn that from many travel quotes, testimonies, and lessons about that stay close to our hearts if we ever come across Bocaue Peak.

How To Get There?

  • Get to Cebu City’s Guadalupe church.
  • Hire a habal habal at the back of the church’s premises, to get you to Sitio Napo. Fare is twenty pesos per person.
  • From Sitio Napo, take the trail to Mount Babag, then detour the 5-towers trail. I recommend that you hire a guide or someone that knows the trail to avoid getting lost.

And that’s it, mga Sugbuanons! Here are the five most dangerous mountain peaks in Cebu City, but here’s the thing, every rough patch can lead to a beautiful panorama. No matter how challenging it can be, these unexpected pleasures can make you think that life is filled with adventure because life isn’t life without any problems at all.

Beyond providing a platform for play, GameZone is also dedicated to helping players improve their skills and unlock their full potential in how to play Tongits. The company recognizes that not all players possess natural talent, and many beginners struggle with understanding the nuances of the game. To address this, GameZone offers resources and tips to help players at all levels enhance their gameplay.

One of the key pieces of advice for aspiring Tongits masters is the importance of consistent practice. Regular play, whether through traditional setups or online platforms, is essential for developing skills and gaining experience. Players are encouraged to challenge opponents of varying skill levels to broaden their understanding of different playing styles and strategies.

Self-analysis is another crucial aspect of improvement. GameZone recommends that players review their games, analyzing their decisions and outcomes to identify areas for improvement. Keeping a journal of gameplay experiences, problems encountered, and interesting strategies observed can be a valuable tool for tracking progress and recognizing patterns.

Participation in high-stakes situations, such as tournaments, is highlighted as an excellent way to accelerate skill development. These competitive environments expose players to diverse strategies and playing styles, pushing them to adapt and improve rapidly.

For those new to Tongits kingdom, mastering the basic rules and gameplay mechanics is the first step towards becoming a skilled player. This includes understanding card rankings, learning how to form melds (sets and sequences), and familiarizing oneself with the scoring system. Players are advised to pay attention to game details such as exposed and concealed melds, as well as the rules for going out.

As players progress, they are encouraged to study advanced strategies. This includes evaluating starting hands, deciding between different meld types, and understanding the risk-reward balance of various approaches. Card counting, monitoring discards, and deducing opponents’ hands based on their actions are all skills that more advanced players should strive to develop.

GameZone also emphasizes the importance of developing keen observation skills. Players are advised to pay close attention to opponents’ behaviors and tells, quickly scan and memorize the discard pile, and practice making rapid mental calculations of potential scores. Multitasking abilities and maintaining a poker face are also highlighted as valuable skills in high-level Tongit play.

Finally, GameZone encourages players to learn from experts in the field. This can involve studying books and articles written by experienced players, watching videos of professional tournaments, and participating in online forums and communities dedicated to Tongits. Finding a mentor or attending workshops and seminars can provide personalized guidance and accelerate skill development.

Through its comprehensive approach to revitalizing Tongits, GameZone has not only preserved a cherished Filipino tradition but has also propelled it into the digital age. By offering a range of game variations, exciting promotions, and resources for skill development, the platform has created a thriving online community for Tongits enthusiasts. As the game continues to evolve in this digital landscape, it seems certain that Tongits will remain a beloved pastime for generations to come, thanks in large part to GameZone’s innovative efforts.
