Regardless if it’s a public post or something you marked as “Only Me,” your legacy can view that as well as have the option remove tags and tributes.
Manage Your Profile
Changing the profile picture, banner, and other elements on your page is also allowed for your legacy. They can also request a deactivation or removal of your page. And if necessary, the legacy can also opt to download a copy of what you have shared on the platform.
The Legacy Limits

Your legacy is just an extension of you; not you! So, there are limits on what they can do. A legacy can’t login to your account, read your messages, remove existing friends, and even make new ones. This helps ensure that there won’t be an issue of “Identity Theft” that will arise from appointing legacies on the app.

Go to “Settings”
Select “General Settings”
Click on “Memorialization Settings”
Type the name of the friend that you’ll be appointing as your legacy.
Once done, a notification will be sent to your legacy and they can choose whether to accept or decline the appointment.

From the Spanish colonial era, we’re now jumping over to the time the Chinese took over as we visit the Yap-San Diego Ancestral House. It is known as one of the first few Chinese homes built in the Philippines. The place is filled with mementos from the era, including lanterns, clay jars, relics, and some touches of what’s left from the Spanish colonization. Upon entering its gates, you’ll see a pathway of greenery, old wooden structures, an even old set of staircases, wooden religious items, and there’s even furniture pieces that’ll bring you back in time.

1730 Jesuit House

Just within the same neighborhood, you’ll find the 1730 Jesuit House where artifacts and relics can be seen. It is also one of the oldest museums in Cebu and is owned by a Chinese businessman known as Jaime Sy. Although its exteriors may seem like a warehouse, don’t be fooled because as you enter, you’ll see the beauty of history inside. Why is it called the Jesuit House? Well, because based on the items found inside and the photographs documented by Fr. William Repettu, the place used to be a headquarters for the Jesuits and based on the various coin collections found within the area, it was reported that the place could date as far back as the Ming Dynasty.

Magellan’s Cross

To mark their presence and the start of Spanish colonization, Magellan and the Spaniards planted a large cross symbolizing the Christian faith they introduced to the local tribes and warriors. By Walking: From the 1730 Jesuit House, head down the same street towards the Colon Obelisk. Continue walking straight until you reach P. Burgos Street. As you walk, you’ll pass the University of Southern Philippines Foundation. Keep going until you arrive at the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño. You can either enter the church to pass through and exit towards the Magellan’s Cross or simply go around the church, as the Cross is located just behind and outside the building.
Plaza Independencia

Fun fact: The Plaza Independencia had two former names during the Spanish colonial era, the Plaza de Armas, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de María Cristina, and the Plaza Libertad when the Americans took over. But, when World War II began, a change of name was necessary to signify freedom; therefore, its new name became “Plaza Independencia.” Now, it has several historically significant monuments and is a public square for events and activities.

Fort San Pedro

COC (Certificate of Completion)
This is an official document you receive upon completing a course or program. It certifies that you’ve completed all the required work and met the criteria set by the school; so, think of it as a VIP pass to graduate.
CURRICULUM
It is the educational roadmap showing the courses and programs offered by your college or university that indicates what you need to learn to earn your degree. It includes major subjects, electives, and required classes.
ELECTIVES
Electives allow you to explore subjects outside your major or enhance your skills in a particular area. Think of them as the extra toppings on your educational pizza—for instance, you are allowed to take Arnis classes as you also take your Bachelor of Science in a totally unrelated subject or course.

INC (Incomplete)
You don’t want to have this; but, when all else fails, be assured that INC simply means “Incomplete,” and that it’s a temporary grade. To avoid the INC grade, complete all the course requirements by the end of the semester to receive a final grade.
LAB
Short for “laboratory,” these are your hands-on classes, often with science and technology courses. The LAB is where you perform experiments and practical exercises.
MIDTERMS
In elementary and highschool, there are “Summative Tests” which are usually held on a monthly and quarterly basis. However, in college, you’ll have MIDTERM exams which indicates that you are already halfway through a semester or an academic year, depending on the school.
OJT / PRACTICUM
Abbreviation for “On-the-Job Training.” This is a practical training that takes place in a real work environment or with a company, allowing you to gain hands-on experience relevant to your field of study. Take it as a sneak peek of your future or once you graduate.

PREREQUISITE / 101
Notice that the title of this article is “College Terminologies 101?” Well, keep the 101 number in mind as you’ll be seeing tons of it in your college or university life. The number is an indication that it is the very first subject to take and you won’t be able to hop on for the 102 version of the subject if you haven’t completed the 101! So, a PREREQUISITE is a required course or subject to complete before you can proceed and enroll to its more advanced and next level program.
PROSPECTUS
A document that outlines every single detail of a course or program, including its objectives, content, and requirements. It shows the overview or snapshot of the program that you’re taking so you’ll know what to expect and what to prepare for.
STUDY LOAD
The total amount of coursework, assignments, and exams you are responsible for in a term or semester.

Abbreviation for the term “To Be Arranged / Announced” This means that you’ll have to wait for the confirmation of either where you’ll be having your classes, who your professor will be, or even the class schedule. You can inquire directly at the Student’s Registrar on ask from the Faculty related to your course; for instance, if your TBA is for a Computer Class, then head over to the College of Technology’s Faculty to ask about it and not to the College of Arts & Sciences.

THESIS

UNITS
