Tatak, Bisaya!

The Cebuano music scene has always blown us away. From Morisette Amon to listening to Kurt Fick—as well as other musicians who hail from other regions in the country. The local scene has always given us a feel and they still do. With new blood coming in and many more, we are blessed to relish their musicality and talent.
We at Sugbo.ph would like to introduce to you some of these talented singers that you should listen to whether you are at home, at work, or in the car. Music is a universal currency and here are the list of Cebu pop groups:
VLST

VLST is a five-member PPop boy group composed of Cebuanos, committed to showcasing their talents and creating a deep connection with each individual through their music. The group is managed by risingharmony_entertainment.
Kinto Boys
Gikan sa Kinto Distrito, paingon sa inyong kasing-kasing

The Kinto Boys is an unexpected collaboration of Sinulog Idol Finalists, grouped during 5th District’s R-Cebu “Biyahe sa Kinto Distrito 2024.
Dom Guyot

Dom Guyot is a familiar presence in the music scene, but this artist has been dropping tracks that seek to “represent the LGBTQ+ community through style, aesthetics, beauty, and skill. He offers songs that range from laid-back and soulful to lively and seductive. Our favorite friend brings a unique perspective to RnB that transcends just audio recordings, including his music videos.
The Sundown

The Sundown is a Cebuano music group that composed of members: Vincent Eco (guitars), Gino Rosales (guitars), Alden Panes (drums), Luigi Balazo (bass), and Aaron Domingo (vocals) have been working on their own music for years and each member claim to be a fan of their work. How was it? Eco was looking for others who wanted to enjoy music with him, leading a new wave in music—-Cebuano indie pop.
Sansette

There’s nothing quite like enjoying a band from the islands that radiates joy, enjoys the sunshine, and adores the sunflower emoji. This Cebuano ensemble hasn’t launched a new album yet, but their songs are promising, and they recently worked with Ely Buendia and Ysanygo’s Ysa Ferraz.
Jollianne

We discovered this singer in Dom Guyot’s ‘Ambitions’ but after a deep dive into what she has to offer. Aside from the silky smooth voice she has shared with the country in a singing contest as a kid. Forda lyricism si ate girl, we love this singer-songwriter and her way of writing lyrics stemming from her experience and imagination.
Sepia Times

Sepia Times is a Cebuano band known for its chill synths, alt-pop melodies, and heartfelt lyrics. The duo paints a picture in their lives through music that marries the nostalgia of the past.
Wonggoys

You are definitely missing out if you haven’t heard about this group. This trio has been around since 2010 and combines different genres of music while adding a playful twist. This evolution of this Cebuano act is amazing and you can see it yourself.
