The south of Cebu is mostly well-known for its collection of numerous waterfalls and white sand shorelines.
However, unbeknownst to many, it is also home for quite a number of springs like Obong Spring in Dalaguete and Guadalupe Mabugnao Mainit Hot Spring National Park in Carcar. Nevertheless, a relatively hidden location in the south also cradles a breathtaking natural beauty.
The Town of Malabuyoc
In the south of Cebu, 125 kilometers away from the heart of the Metro, sits the rather small town of Malabuyoc. The town is relatively known for its crystal clear beaches, breathtaking waterfalls and lush green forests.
A Spring Among the Woods
Among the towering trees of the Malabuyoc forests lies a hidden wonder that is waiting to be discovered by adventurous souls. Aranza Natural Springs is a collection of springs sitting in the lush green forests of Barangay Aranzana, Malabuyoc.
These springs flow straight towards the rivers of Barangay Aranzana, while some of the springs flow to small pools which are artificially created by the locals in the area. Apparently, the freshwater from the spring is one of the main sources of drinking water by the locals!
HOW TO GET THERE?
