Pasigaon ang mga dalan sa Daanbantayan!
On November 8, 2024, Daanbantayan Mayor, Sun Shimura, inaugurated the installation of 43 new solar street lights for the Municipality of Daanbantayan.
The initiative was supported by the project Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI CIDDS) by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in partnership with the municipality and the Daanbantayan’s local government units.
Installed from Sitio Matan-ag 1 to Sitio Mohon in Barangay Bateria, Daanbantayan, the solar lights are set to lessen road-related accidents, improve safety and security, as well as aid in boosting the municipality’s tourism efforts.
According to the municipality’s latest post, the project was built with a staggering amount of P2,424,000 and P23,703.83 additional budget from the LGU, proving their commitment towards achieving cost-effective solutions.
