A Year of Love: 2023’s Most Exciting Celebrity Weddings

Many of our favorite Philippine celebrities married in 2023, making it a year of love and happiness for them. From modest weddings to grandiose receptions, these celebrities have found their happily ever after.

Unsurprisingly, there have been so many celebrity weddings this year. 

Glaiza de Castro and David Rainey – Jan. 23, 2023 

On January 23, Glaiza De Castro and her Irish businessman husband, David Rainey, married for the second time. The beachside-style wedding ceremony was place at Sundowners Zambales in a Filipiniana theme. The couple married in Northern Ireland in a Game of Thrones-themed ceremony in October 2021.

Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica – January 25, 2023

On January 25, 2023, in a glass house-inspired church setting, Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica tied their knots in an intimate wedding ceremony in the heart of lush Tagaytay greenery. Their wedding took place more than two years after their engagement in December 2020. They also reached a milestone as a couple in early 2021 when they decided to live together and share a home. 

Alodia Gosiengfiao and Christopher Quimbo – February 14, 2023

Alodia Gosiengfiao, cosplayer and co-owner of Tier One Entertainment in the Philippines marries the man of her dreams on Valentine’s Day, February 14, in a Christian wedding ceremony at the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City. The Novellino Winery Calabria Company Limited’s president and general manager is the husband of Alodia.

Pia Wurtbach and Jeremy Jauncey – March 24, 2023

The Miss Universe 2015 queen has announced her marriage to a Scottish-Colombian entrepreneur. The beauty queen posted snippets of their breathtaking beach wedding on March 24, 2023, held in an exclusive resort on the secluded North Island of Seychelles. Pia Wurtzbach and Jeremy Jauncey’s intimate wedding had only three attendees, including their excellent friends Michael Gray, Georgia Ma, and photographer Nelwin Uy. 

EJ Falcon and Jana Roxas – March 25, 2023

Ejay Falcon and Jana Roxas’ seven-year love culminated in a garden wedding last March 25, 2023, at the Enderun Tent at McKinley Hill, Taguig City. The solemn Christian ceremony, attended by politicians and celebrities, was officially concluded with a 10-minute kiss while the song “Till I Met You” played in the background.

Kathleen Hermosa and Miko Santos – June 8, 2023

On June 8, 2023, actress Kathleen Hermosa and her spouse Miko Santos exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony of family and close friends at the Montebello Villa Hotel in Cebu. Her sister Kristine Hermosa, who served as the maid of honor, and her brother-in-law Oyo Boy Sotto, Danica Sotto-Pingris, Vic Sotto, and Tali Sotto attended her wedding. On her special day, Kathleen, 41, radiated a youthful bride glow.

Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde – July 28, 2023

Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde, a famous couple, recently got married! The long-awaited nuptials occurred at the Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges Chapel in Baguio City on July 28, 2023. Their relatives and close friends joined them for the private ceremony. Numerous celebrities and politicians, including former senator Tito Sotto, his brother Vic Sotto, and fellow comedian and TV host Joey de Leon, together known as Tito, Vic, and Joey, graced the events as wedding sponsors or guests.

Maja Salvador and Rambo Nuñez – July 31, 2023

Maja and Rambo just married on July 31, 2023, at the Apurva Kempinski Bali, a five-star luxury beachfront hotel in Bali, Indonesia. Maja and Rambo first dated in 2010 but split up till they rekindled their love in 2019.

However, couples outside of the spotlight are also getting married. The Philippines is on track to have a record number of weddings in 2023. More than 1 million couples are anticipated to get married this year, according to a recent survey.

Love is clearly in the air this 2023. With so many beautiful weddings to celebrate, it’s likely to be a year to remember.
