USC Law to represent PH for International Law Moot Court Competition

The University of San Carlos Cebu – College of Law (USC Law) has officially earned the spot to once again represent the Philippines in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, according to University of San Carlos Assistant VP for Academics Affair Attorney Joan Largo.

The 2022 DivinaLaw-UST Philippine Jessup Cup recently concluded with the University of the Philippines (UP) taking home the biggest awards, including the national championship for the fifth consecutive year. University of San Carlos (USC) also continued to impress, emerging as runner-up for the second straight year.

USC Law’s Chrisha Ver Romano-Weigel and Edward Dominic Emilio took the Top 3 and 5 Oralist spots respectively at the DivinaLaw-UST Philippine Jessup Cup.

The USC Team has already represented the country last April 2021 and finished Top 4 out of 570 teams in the same competition. The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is considered as the Olympics of mooting and the world’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious mooting competition.

The University of the Philippines and the University of San Carlos will represent the Philippines in the global rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition this year.
