Feeling the cool breeze of Christmas already? It has been normal to think that the holidays are best spent with the family and other loved ones, often inside homes while sharing good and hearty meals.

But nothing is stopping you from spending the holidays outdoors, as it’s a good idea to take the celebration outside the home too! If you’re looking to consider that, here are four places you can visit to spend the season with your loved ones.

1. Birds of the World at Cebu Safari

Considered the premier safari park in the country, Cebu Safari & Adventure Park is located in Northern Cebu. It acts as a refuge for hundreds of different plant and animal species. It features more than a thousand animals from more than a hundred species.

Birds of the World, a newly opened portion of the Cebu Safari & Adventure Park last December 19, features an aviary filled with various dazzling birds. Some of these birds include lories, ibises, and the beautiful Mindanao Rufous Hornbill.

Before entering the aviary though, tourists are advised to remove all pieces of jewelry and refrain from touching the birds, per their rules and regulations.

2. Anjo World

Anjo World Theme Park, which is situated in Minglanilla, Cebu, offers you a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will get your heart racing. With its wild rides, entertaining games, and vibrant environment, you’ll surely feel thrilled and enjoyed throughout your experience.

Recently, they added a new attraction, which is the Funtastic Arena. The Funtastic Arena will have endless rides for kids, educational attractions that will stimulate young children’s senses, and an arcade-style video gaming environment for both adults and kids, according to Cedric Reyes, head of sales, marketing, and press relations at Anjo World.

The only ice-skating rink in the Visayas and Mindanao, SM Skating in SM Seaside City Cebu aims to provide everyone with an enjoyable, relaxing time on the ice as well as opportunities for ice sports training (figure skating, speed skating, ice hockey).

It can be remembered that it once closed for some maintenance reasons. But fortunately, it has already reopened for the public last June 30. Now, you can slide and glide all day long, enjoying the wonders of ice!

4. Sugbo Mercado at Il Corso

Sugbo Mercado, one of Cebu’s well-known night markets, has provided Cebuanos in the South with another outlet at IL Corso Lifemalls. A meeting of the local street food scene, Sugbo Mercado by The Coast is anticipated to become a popular weekend destination in the South because of the pleasant sea breeze, delicious food, and stunning scenery!
