On Wednesday evening, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of February 9, 2022.
The whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and Cebu Province — recorded 229 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 1,068 new recoveries, and 17 new deaths. Cebu’s total active cases dropped to 8,987 (from 9,825).

– Total confirmed: 52,855 (+93 new)
– Total recoveries: 46,056 (+521 new)
– Total deaths: 1,628 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 5,171
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 16,760 (+32 new)
– Total recoveries: 15,040 (+126 new)
– Total deaths: 485 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 1,235
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 15,134 (+19 new)
– Total recoveries: 14,058 (+125 new)
– Total deaths: 474 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 602
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 45,023 (+85 new)
– Total recoveries: 40,345 (+296 new)
– Total deaths: 2,699 (+15 new)
– Active cases: 1,979

- Total Recoveries in Cebu: 115,499 (+1,068 new)

A total of 1,887 laboratory results were released.
