The Queen City of the South soon adds another gem to its treasury of resorts and lifestyle destinations.
Set to welcome the world through its doors in 2022, the integrated NUSTAR Resort sits majestically atop Kawit Point, SRP, Cebu City. NUSTAR will boast luxury retail and dining, a gaming facility, and a convention center that can accommodate 2,000 participants. On top of it all, NUSTAR will welcome guests to its three hotel towers with over 1,000 rooms.
From the initial plan of ₱18 billion, Gokongwei-led Universal Hotels and Resorts, Inc. (UHRI) increases its investment to ₱25 billion for the project.
The resort will soon be offering an exciting getaway from the city’s hustle and bustle with 250 gaming tables and 1,500 electronic gaming machines. Guests will also get to pamper themselves within NUSTAR’s 4 floors of luxury retail and dining spaces, as well as relax in the sun with an unobstructed vista of the Cebu Strait.
NUSTAR is located in Kawit Island, Cebu South Road Properties, 2 kilometers away from SM Seaside City and 1 kilometer from Il Corso Mall; only 15 minutes away from the heart of Cebu City. Additionally, with the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway scheduled to open in 2021, NUSTAR guests are going to have even more accessibility to the resort.
Universal Hotels and Resorts Inc. (UHRI) holds NUSTAR as a first of its kind, and will be the biggest outside of Metro Manila. The design of NUSTAR was created by a world-renowned design team that includes HKS Architects, HBA Design Consultants, PIA Interior Co., Ltd., Studio JEFRE and ASYA Design. According to ASYA Design, the resort has an accumulated 350,000 square meters of floor space.
NUSTAR Resort is a distinct development in Cebu City. It will definitely be a destination that the Queen City can show off to the rest of the world.
