Located in Barangay Bago, Asturias, Buswang Lake is an eight-hectare body of water that is home to carps, tilapias and catfishes. And right in the middle of it is this small strip of island that houses the new hang out place and restaurant in Asturias, Island in the Lake Bar & Grill.
The lake has still waters which is ideal for fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking and you can do this all for free. Just bring your own equipment and you’re ready to go. You can also camp here free of charge so make sure to bring your tent.
The lake is a rehabilitation project of a public-private cooperation to beautifully preserve nature and revive the once murky and silted waters of a placid lake.
The chill dining is completed by watching live performances and tasting all the delicious Filipino food they are serving like bisayang manok, pork BBQ and caldereta.

HOW TO GET THERE?
Exact location: Buswang Lake, Barangay Bago, Asturias, Northwesetern Cebu – approx. 2 hours away from the city.
BY V-HIRE: You can get on a van for hire headed for Asturias at the van terminal in Ayala Center Cebu. The van will pass through the transcentral highway, which makes the journey short. Travel time is around one hour or so depending on the traffic. From the town proper, you can ride a habal-habal that will take you to Buswang Lake Restobar.
BY CAR: Navigate with Waze or Google Maps and set your destination to “Buswang Lake” in Brgy. Bago, Asturias. Parking space is available.
