The Good Leaf Farm in Danao City opened its doors to guests looking to spend a night in the farm. They offer an exclusive stay that guests can book and have all to themselves.
The house is built in the farm premises, surrounded by all sorts of trees, flowers, vegetables, and a garden out front. The architecture of the house is heavily composed of native materials. The wooden floors, bamboo furniture and fixtures, and woven roof and ceilings all come together to make a cozy cottage vibe that says Filipino in personality.
While the focus of staying the night is relaxing and bonding with company, there are a couple of activities you can do to enrich your stay.
Admiring the views
The very first thing to do would be to admire the views around the farm and behold the Head of the Sleeping Giant of Danao City. The aptly named attraction is a mountain with an uncanny resemblance to a gigantic head lying down. The angle from the farm makes it look like the giant is resting close to the property. It truly is a humbling sight.
The farm itself is also a great place to walk around in. The premises allow for leisurely strolls with their footpaths and lights. They even have numerous benches and tables where you can have a conversation in. While you walk, you get can get close to their various vegetables and get to see them in their form before they reach the markets. Just make sure not to step on any of them!
Pampering and Relaxation
Then, you can hop into a Kawa Bath where you can melt in satisfaction; pick fresh vegetables; get a pampering massage; and light a bonfire at night to keep you warm while exchanging stories with friends.
If you feel like basking in the solace and serenity, you can lounge and let the day pass by lazily swinging on their hanging couch under the cool shade of a tree. There are certainly no rules for relaxation, but one thing is for sure: you will be comfortable here at Good Leaf Farm.
The house, the views, and the plants in the farm give off a totally laid-back feel, you wouldn’t think there would be a haven like this so close to the city!
