On Saturday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of August 21, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 922 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 488 new recoveries, and 23 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 85,550, while the active cases increased to 14,416 (from 13,999).

Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 35,833 (+282 new)
– Total recoveries: 29,777 (+165 new)
– Total deaths: 1,095 (+3 new)
– Active cases: 4,961
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 11,116 (+80 new)
– Total recoveries: 9,116 (+88 new)
– Total deaths: 292 (+3 new)
– Active cases: 1,708
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 10,094 (+79 new)
– Total recoveries: 7,900 (+72 new)
– Total deaths: 295 (+0 new)
– Active cases: 1,899
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 28,507 (+481 new)
– Total recoveries: 21,329 (+163 new)
– Total deaths: 1,330 (+17 new)
– Active cases: 5,848
