On Monday night, the Department of Health Central Visayas (DOH-7) released its official, consolidated data of the COVID-19 cases in the region as of October 4, 2021.
Today, the whole island of Cebu — Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and the Cebu Province — recorded 84 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 321 new recoveries, and 16 new deaths. This brings Cebu’s total confirmed cases to 101,949, while the active cases increased to 4,163 (from 4,407).
Cebu City
– Total confirmed: 40,491 (+30 new)
– Total recoveries: 38,012 (+68 new)
– Total deaths: 1,426 (+4 new)
– Active cases: 1,053
Lapu-Lapu City
– Total confirmed: 13,383 (+3 new)
– Total recoveries: 12,127 (+14 new)
– Total deaths: 404 (+4 new)
– Active cases: 852
Mandaue City
– Total confirmed: 11,966 (+8 new)
– Total recoveries: 11,160 (+33 new)
– Total deaths: 390 (+1 new)
– Active cases: 416
Cebu Province
– Total confirmed: 36,109 (+43 new)
– Total recoveries: 32,007 (+206 new)
– Total deaths: 2,260 (+7 new)
– Active cases: 1,842
